hey everyone.... here is a custom vehicle i came up with using the matrix APU figure... the legs are fully poseable in 4 places.... and the chair moves forward and back......the control panel also moves in accordance with the chair....

Very nice Camnron. Really a great idea. Almost reminds me of something I think I could envision a Nemoidian Warrior using instead of a Clone Trooper... or even a binary loadlifter!
:P

Cool. It reminds me of Mech Warrior, I miss that game. :) Is it scratch built of does it mostly come from some other line?
-
So basicly you pulled out the Matrix guy, and slapped in a Clone?

no...unfortunately i actually customized it.... i reconstucted the entire thing.... the legs on mine are the shoulders on the original.....the mid section is backward and upside down..... the chair and console completely custom mounted...and the guns re-mounted.........
funny how a couple paint lines on a clone is considered a custom, but hours of hard work is simply a swap....

I didn't mean to offend you, but thats what it looked like to me. No need for hostilities.
They are customs because they are changed from what they origionaly were.

Ladies let's not fight.
This is the only truly pure section in all of Star Wars collecting untouched by drama and tension.
Keep it that way...please. For me? :-*

Call me a lady one more time, and I'll make sure Dennys never serves another Grand Slam ever again. :-D
Cant we all just get along?:-*

Oh yeah, he went there! ;) :P
Seriously though, peace, love, and all that other hippie ****.

I'm sure no offense was intended. A friend of mine, who was unfamiliar with the Matrix toy, had the same reaction when I showed him the picture. Once I pointed out the differences, he was more impressed.
If I didn't have the Matrix toy myself, I probably would have thought the same thing. But since I do have a few from the local Kay-Bee when they clearanced 'em at $6.99, I spotted the changes right off.
I may have to make one myself now...or a variation thereof.
Nice work, bro...although I do think Chewie's right that it looks more Separatist than Republic. A Neimoidian would look killer in there, standing on a crushed AT-RT and a desperate group of clones, in the firefight of their mass-produced lives...

Yeah, Famine didn't mean anything by it, he just didn't know. I didn't either. I don't know if it's possible, but does anyone have a pic of this thing to see what it looks like before it's customized?
It really does look nice Camnron. I remember seeing these at TRU, and was hoping I'd see them on clearance.... unfortunately I never did. I'd like to see what the figure looks like again that came with it too, does it have customizing potential?
All in all, it does look great. I really do think it looks more Separatist, but it still looks nice with the Clone you added to it.
Great job, and please keep sharing your work here, and critiquing our stuff too. :)

Camnron,
Can you elaborate on the toy? Is it a 3.75" thing or different? I'm not super familiar with the Matrix films... I remember their walker-type things that were like the mech suits in Aliens though...
I'd like taking one of those and using it simply for a mech suit in Star Wars... this looks like it oculd be a good base.
Where'd you pick that up at if I may ask?

GI Joe has some little mechs that Target's selling at $7.49 right now...they've got some customizing potential. Not nearly as detailed as Camnron's piece, but someone here could certainly have some fun with them...

I only get the Heartland Scramble.
About the custom: Don't count on putting a Nemo-Gunner in there..the legs are pretty POTF. You'll need to customize that too. :)

Why Hasbro makes troop builder figures with no knee articulation, I'll NEVER understand...

Oh trust me, I'm a Matrix NUT, but unfortunatley I've only had the chance to watch the 3rd DVD once. I see the big difference now.
