I am aware of the basic figures that are being released but what about the vehicles, deluxe, scenes and playsets? what else will be on the shelves on April 2nd?

Everybody is talking army builders but which one can and will they do.  We have to think variety and use EE's exclusive as a bar. For one, I heard that EE wouldn't take the non-articulated color clones in a multipack and insisted that Hasbro utilize the SA Clone. So basically all Hasbro did was through a little paint on the SA Clone. There is nothing new about them so don't expect anything new about any future multipack exclusives.

-Battle Droids (POTJ version  red, yellow, blue, plain)  Yes
-Snowtrooper (no color ranks, not very articulated and already dirty )   Nope
-Stormtrooper (battle damage)                                    Yes
-Sandtrooper (color ranks but recently done, Hasbro may put forth the efort to pull out the old pauldrons and pop them onto the VOTC Stormtrooper)  Doubtful

Any troops other than Imperials would require Hasbro to do some work with head sculpts and i'm not sure they will do it.

Just my thoughts.

Looking at what they are giving us for the first three waves of 2005 it would stand to reason these would have been the last three waves of 2004 and these repacks were just a bone for LFL on the whole DVD thing.  I would have rather of seen the 3 new cantina figures mixed in and some common sense repaints instead of 4 Vaders and 5 Lukes and some of the other release after release after release (Cantina Han)

 

I thought that the first wave after the 38 OTC figures would be an 04 release.  I know that the last wave of OTC is scheduled for October. if you are right, then the rest of the year after October will truly suck.

I agree.  I won't be interested unless the figure is "unique".  It would be a good time to offer that unreleased Bespin Capture Vader.

I just want to thank Boba Binks for taking are of me on a much needed figure for my Saga collection.  Binks tracked down a Han (At-St) in perfect condition and sent it off right away.  He packed it very well so it was in superb condition when I received it.  Thanks Binks!

I didn't think the report said that the following 2 waves after the Coruscant wave would be prequel figs.  I hope not.  I'd be happy with a mix of characters from all of the movies.  The OTC is 38 figures, thank god! Of course, GH's Swami predicts a General Veers will be coming, maybe it will be in one of these waves.  These waves could also include such  characters as Sim Aloo and a host of rumoured cantina patrons.
