Be careful CC, that's about all the maternal instinct Mrs. Bug had as well. :P  And I am not kidding.

Ah, careful nothin'.  ;)

I've known that I don't want kids since I was a kid myself. I don't mind them, and even love one or two of them (best friends' kids), but I like cats much better, when it comes down to any sort of little creature living with me. I have friends that try to talk me into having kids frequently, and I can never understand why they don't get the point, that some people just don't want to have children of their own.

Don't have 'em, don't want 'em. I like my freedom, and I like traveling. I have zero maternal instinct, unless you count that inclination towards cats.  :)

Vintage collecting "studs". Hee hee.

Yeah, my hair's getting longer and longer. DISCLAIMER: we didn't know a picture was being taken at that moment /DISCLAIMER

As for Isaac, I think he's 18 now. I don't know how he got involved with the vintage crew, but he's been in it for some time now. Even being as young as he is, he seems to fit in just perfectly.

Isaac just updated the Archive site with some photos and coverage of the Mexico Convention, so for those of you who would like to see more pictures, here they are! I'm in a couple of them this time. Joe's all over the place, as usual.  ;)

Drives me crazy when I'm driving around with the wife, and we pass a Target, WM, or TRU and she won't let me stop to do a quick figure check!  AAAaaargh!  It's especially difficult when we're traveling up to her parents place an hour and a half away, and we're passing about 15 stores that might have figures, but we "can't" stop at any!  Drives me a little batty knowing I might be driving right by new product that I desperately need!   :-X

Oh well, I understand that she gets a little burnt out at times with the figure hunting.  That's fine, since she does a fair amount of it herself for me, and usually lets me make my stops.  But the occasional times when she doesn't feel like stopping at stores just send my figure hunting OCD into a tizzy!   :P

I can totally sympathize. My "ex" was exactly like that, even though he was a toy collector himself. He just didn't get my Star Wars collecting, though. And the truth is, to get new SW product, ya gotta hit the KMarts and WalMarts and such.

"Just five minutes! I'll be in and out I swear!" But no dice.

Well, I dropped him, and I've found happiness with a far more toy obsessed, loving and sympathetic man.  Goody for me.  :)

CC- No Dragon Con for me  :(

Wish I was able to go just to hang out w/ many of you... and meet you finally CC. I've heard nothing but good...  ;)

Dang! I really wish you could be there.  You better have only heard good stuff about me.  ;)

One of these days, you'll have to make it out to a con to hang out. Maybe October's Chiller Theatre in Jersey, if you have any interest in horror stuff. I should definitely be living with Joe by then, so for once it won't require an airplane ticket for me.

Yep, those t-shirts are great, Matt. Here's a pic that Gus Lopez took of a custom t-shirt made by Luis Villagomez. He made them for several people in the group for the convention. Definitely drool-worthy.

Uh-oh, Scott, what did I miss out on?

dustrho, I'm afraid that you won't find Wiz World Chicago to be anything like my description of the Mexico Con. I went last year, and was kinda disappointed. I may go this year, and I may not. I'm not terribly excited about it to be honest with you.  Mexico really spoiled me, it's really going to be the yardstick for which all conventions are measured against for me from now on.

A little bit of everything for me, focusing mainly on metal (as in Sepultura and Fear Factory, not nu-metal), punk and goth. I've recently gotten into Euro-pop/synth darkwave stuff like Apoptygma Berserk and Funkervogt, it's working for me at the moment. Love Tom Waits, Johnny Cash, David Bowie, hell- you name it. It's really too difficult to name names.

Looks and sounds like everyone had a great time there Carrie!  I was hoping to see you sitting up next to Joe in that picture of him speaking, but I guess you were off galavanting...

I was originally going to go to that convention with a buddy of mine, but when the Silver Fett became available elsewhere, we decided to settle on the slightly less exotic San Diego Comic Com instead...   ;)  Are you and Joseph going to that one as well?  If so, I'd love to meet up with you guys at some point!   8)

P.S.  We've missed you 'round here...   :-*

Awww, thanks Matt.  :-*

I did sit up there with him until things got going, his nerves got to him a bit.  :)  There are plenty of pictures of me at the Mexico Convention out there, but I couldn't tell you who took them. One of the more memorable photo-ops was about 12 of us crammed into the huge Silver Fett bubble that Hasbro had there. We called it the gringo multi-pack.

We're not going to the San Diego Con, but we'll be at DragonCon in Atlanta next month, I can't remember if I asked you if you were going. I would LOVE to hook up with you and the missus at some point if you'll be in Atlanta, or some other time in the future.

That pic of Joe being interviewed is great! I was in the background right off to the side (you can't see me in the pic, though). I had just gotten him a soda, and walked up to give it to him, then saw the camera and ran off to the side quickly. Whoops!

Also, I have to give props to collector and translator extrordinaire, Isaac Lew. Not only did he help me with my Spanish (or lack thereof) a bunch of times, but he translated for several presentations, and was just an overall very sweet, very smart kid.
