Found these new droidfactory astromechs online this morning. Look to be part of a Clone Wars themed droidfactory set.
Droids are R5-S9 (blue), R5-P8 (Hondo's) and R5-U8/R5-013 (green)

No further details as of yet.

Cool. I love the army of astromechs we've accumulated over the years. Even if I've got no recollection of 80% of these from the movies, they make for fun filler material around other figures and in vehicle displays.
-
Creamcicle R5? I'm in! Love me some droids.
-
Any time-frame for when these are going to be released? Are they going to be all in one set or individually carded?
-
Why does the middle one have teeth?

Why does the middle one have teeth?
I think that's how he was deco'd in The Clone Wars...

Since there is the hat peg hole, would be kind of neat if they made a blaster pistol "hat" for him.
-
OMG...I have wanted Hondo's droid forever, but they have to do the dome blaster!
Looks like the other 2 are Galactic Senate Droid and Flyby's Astromech.
-
Dome blasters aren't family friendly.
They won't even give them the antennas...those interfere with the funny hats...which a boxed set won't come with anyway.
-
Huge kudos for doing Hondo's droid. Must have.
-
I'd say these could hit in a month or so. :-X

As I will be there over Xmas it would be a nice treat if this set was there for me to purchase then, but I doubt it....
-
AWESOME! I've been wanting some of these Clone Wars R5 units for a while.
The best part? We're going to Disney next year, and I can finally pick up some of these in person at last.

You going for Celebration Nick or at a different time?
-
We're going in the Fall. Can't swing this Celebration.
-
Fourth Clone Wars astromech revealed, kind of a let down since we just got it in Entertainment Earth's set. :-\

The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing! ;)
It would be nice to get some coordination between the two, especially if we're going to get really deep dives on some of these characters. This is the second instance lately where Disney did a Hasbro droid at the same time (RO droid being the other) and in both cases, for me anyways, it negates some of the impetus to buy the Hasbro sets they're in.
Oh, well. Clone Wars droids! ;D
-
This seems amazingly stupid that they would both release the same droid with such a wacky paint job. They're different sculpts of the same droid with similar paint jobs.
Is it too hard to come up with a unique paint job, or coordinate between the handful of vendors that have their own exclusives? Hard to tell if this is intentional, laziness, or just incompetence.
I'll end up buying the set for the other three, but its unnecessarily painful to have to re-buy this droid we already have.
-
I haven't seen hide or hair of this one yet. I wonder if it has been canceled.
-
I think it just hasn't been released yet. All indications are pointing to the relatively near future tho. Spring perhaps?
-
Hopefully in the next three weeks as I am headed down there in early March. Really want this and in person pick up would be ideal.
-
If I were to hazard a guess it's to put something new in the park around the time of Star Wars Celebration. I'm hoping they'll have them then when I'm there for the convention.
If they come out earlier, hopefully they'll end up on the Shop Disney Parks app just like the Rogue One set did, although, it was in plentiful supply even in December when I was there so a March release should still be around mid-April...
-
I agree, Pete. I think it's a safe bet that they'll be released in time for Star Wars Celebration which is April 13th - 17th. Disney is also holding a special Star Wars event in the Disney Hollywood Studios park called Star Wars Galactic Nights (http://www.themeparktourist.com/news/20170111/32390/star-wars-weekends-offerings-return-2017-you-ll-have-pay) which will happen on April 14th.
Coincidence? Hmmm....
-
Ok, so we will see them in April and they won't be hard to get. Heck, you can still get the May the 4th droid.
-
Confirmed! (https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2017/04/life-long-star-wars-fan-develops-unique-merchandise-products-coming-to-disney-parks-this-month/)
Love that they got the gun on R5-P8's head!

-
Love the R5 units! Kind of puzzled by the repeat of Ziro the Hutt's bartender droid, though.
-
Must. Have. Droids.
-
OH man...funny how a little thing like a gun on the dome can make you so happy! ;D
That is just awesome. I am all over this set, maybe even two. Please and thank you!
-
Not sure if it's still in stock, but I managed to order this one today from the app.
-
I can't seem to find anything at all on the app. I even deleted it and downloaded it again but nada. ???
-
Everything is gone right now. :(
-
These guys look great together! Got my 4 pack, r3d0 from Disney and then my uenprtocol from eBay (I liked the Senate droid so much I pulled the trigger on eBay for a black protocol)

What the heck us going on with this thing? Did they only make a super limited run that sold out in a few hours? I've been checking for this thing every day on the Disney app and it has NEVER come back into stock. Am I totally boned on finding one of these now?
-
I stopped looking once I got the rest of them ordered, but other than the one time that I ordered it, I never saw it again. Super weird.
-
I found a seller on Amazon that was offering this set for $34.99 with Prime shipping. But for a while this set was priced around $50+ on Amazon.com.
-
Never seen much at Disney stay out of stock for long outside of those D23 droids.
-
From what I can tell from the app, if their stock goes below a certain number, they make it an in store only item. When the stock goes back up it becomes available for purchase again.
That's what happened with the remote controlled mouse droid.
-
Thanks for the responses, guys. I went ahead and bought one of these off eBay for $30 with Free Shipping. I don't know what the original MSRP was for the thing, but that price didn't seem too bad.
-
This set has turned up on clearance at Disney Store outlets. I picked it up for $15 today.
