Carol's still a ***** btw...  For all her hard speak, and all the Carol gushing on Talking Dead, she still got her machete stuck in a zombies head and fell down.  Chicks, I tell ya.  ::)  :-*

Hey!  Her hands were slippery from all of the mud! >:( ;)

Wonder if that will put a damper on the whole Carol/Daryl slow-burning romance..... :o. And I wonder how Daryl will feel about his vow to put a bullet into whoever did it once he finds out it was Carol.

The two actions are essentially in direct opposition to each other. The idea with the rats seems to be to get the walkers in and make things crazy dangerous, whereas killing Karen and the other guy is more like a preemptive mood to STOP things from getting crazy dangerous if they were in fact to turn. (Although since they were already locked up maybe the fear was that they would somehow end up exposing more people)

I didn't interpret it that way - I just assumed they were burned after they died to help stop the spread of the virus.

After re-watching today it struck me how "animated" the bloody-eyed fence walker was. It almost seemed as if he was actually looking at Rick and really"seeing" him.   If everyone has the virus that turns them into walkers with no brain activity other than in their brain stem - could the new virus alter how "alive" a walker is when they re-animate?

Finally got a chance to watch Talking Dead this morning.  Was surprised no one brought up the fence walker they kept showing - the one with the weird bloody eyes and face. Looks like he died from the same thing Patrick did.

I'm vacationing on Oak Island in NC for the 4th year in a row. This morning we saw a 4ft shark just a few feet offshore in maybe 12-15" of water. We have always known they were close by on OKI - but not that close!  I know the odds are in our favor - but it makes this mama just a little nervous to have her 8yo start Surf Camp tomorrow - though it doesn't seem to phase her one bit. She just wants to surf.     8)

So sorry Jesse - that is really tough - especially after dealing with losing your cat. There is nothing quite as great as a good dog.   Making the decision to put them down is always heartbreaking :'(

Thanks to the book readers for not spoiling it. I was completely unprepared for it. Honestly - I was much more anxious for Arya - especially when they started playing the Rains of Castamere - I thought it was for her. I have said it all along - the women are the true leaders in this story. Not having read the novels, I say that the front runners are Daenerys and Arya. I used to think Daenerys for sure, but she it seems that she is becoming blood drunk and power hungry - only focused on power. Arya is strong in heart and is more concerned about right and wrong than power. I think she will be the last one standing.

The shows I watch faithfully are:

The Walking Dead
Game of Thrones
Homeland
Shameless
Dexter
The Big C
The Killing (so glad they are bringing it back!)
True Blood
Mad Men

Seems like a lot - but the alternate throughout the year - pretty much all on Sunday nights. Thank goodness for premium channels and DVRs.

I've only read the 1st book. I believe in avoiding even a hint at spoilers. I would prefer it if we kept this thread "book-free" as far as spoilers go and try and keep the focus in the HBO series and have the other thread include both book and tv series.  I don't even read the episode description before I watch a show - that's how spoiler-free I like it! :-)

Damn you GOT - I actually find myself starting to care about what happens to Jamie Lannister!  The thing that really stood out to me in the scene where Dany was dealing with the slave trader was how much she had taken on the mannerisms and tone if Viserys - it was almost uncanny.

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Sequel Trilogy Speculation

Even if Leia didn't have kids for ten years after ROTJ, it would still mean she had her first kid at 33 years old (Han would be 43). Last time I checked, women have kids that this age all the time w/o any problem whatsoever.

Thank you!!  I didn't even get married until I was 33, had my first child at 36 and my second child at 40. Women have babies after 40 quite often.
