Dang, reading this thread makes me thirsty! And it's only 10 am here.
Don't drink much of anything other than water now that I've gotta stay sharp watching the 15-month old and the 36-weeks prego wife. Now and then when we visit the mother-in-law, she'll break out her vice of choice (organic champagne), and I'll have a small glass of that, but that's been it for at least a couple years.
Before that, a nice Kentucky bourbon and some Coke would hit the spot on occasion. It's gotta be Kentucky, not Tennessee...there's a distinct difference. Some smooth and potent Belgian Ale would also hit the spot from time to time. Chimay Blue (9% alc.) is dang good, and the others (Red, 7% or Triple, 8%) aren't too shabby. The U.S. also makes a nice "Belgian Ale" called Ommegang which is nearly as good, but cheaper!!
Okay, hope that got my craving out of my system for at least a little while.
