Much of what you said is true, but isn't it the same year after year?  I mean, very little changes as far as distribution, timing, etc.  The usual gripes, IMO.  What's new?

As far as the exclusives are concerned, you can voice your dissatisfaction with your wallet.

I loved the TAC figures, but hated the hunt the chase to find them most of the year. I know Hasbro claims it was the "coins" that caused the most problems. All I have to say the person incharge of makeing sure everything was running smooth, needs to be fired! Who ever this person was blew it and made it dam well impossible to find stuff! The lack of suppy of figures at Target, the over wellimg felling of haveing 3 waves hit back to back (4,5,6) and them 7,7.5,8 and hitting during the heart of the holiday shopping season sucked! Then add the peg glogging idea of SL drove me insane! The UGH hunt, I recall in one of the Q&A with the Hasbro Rep, they said their would be ENOUGH this year to avoid the problem of the scalpers buying up the supply like they did with Saga. Ha! How many of you if not for other collectors or just plain luck would have not gotten these figures? ME!!!

Now on to the year end exclsuives, one word sums it up for me overpriced and uninspired! The ultimate battle packs as where they looked "cool" with the exception of the Hoth Turret, what was so great about them? I mean I think a majority of us had all those figures. The AT-RT pack was just terrible and did we really need a new Arch-170?  Then the so called called Walmart exclsuives, repacks and over priced!

Get to work Hasbro, you are going to have do a lot more to get me to spend next year! try originalty nex year, it might help Hasbro.

FYI I didnt even mention the debacle of the convention exclsuives this past summer!

I didnt buy any ships, the only ships I have are the Gunships! I have no problem passing up the vechiels.  I would "help" if the cost of the figures would go "down" like Walfart has done.

All I need to be caught up is that blasted McRebel Trooper.

I'm in the same boat.
What sad is that this figure is at the bottom of the Mcfigures. I would say ....

McLuke was the top of the line. next
McBoba
Mctrooper
Mcsnowie
StarKiller
Obi/Yoda
Chewy
Han
C3po/R2
GG
Vader
Rebel

I think a McJawa or McTusken Raider would have rocked!

Hey I don't open my figures, but I do not get them graded! Please do not lumb us "carded" people with the nuts that think they have to get their figures graded.! Carded collectors are just as good as those who dont!  ;D

I definitely need to cut back next year even more than I did this year.   This year saw me turn into an opener as well as develop a "focus" on the musicians of Star Wars, and I tried to only pick up the "new" figures from the TAC line but I ended up getting the whole shebang to complete that damn coin album.   Next year I'm going to stick to it.   The fact that I'm really into the SideShow 12" line isn't helping either- 3 of 'em at Xmas time is hurting.   Not to mention that I REALLY want to get at least the Hoth Ultimate Battle Pack and probably the Endor one too.

Sigh
AHhh the "coins" that was my excuse aswell! I think what happens as a "collector" you start to find a particular foucus, for me last year I found the Cantina/Jabba's court figures the most deseriable. I also really like Jedi.

About the Cantina sets,

From, http://www.bobasbounty.net/

1. We haven't seen any reports of the Galactic Heroes Cantina Sets hitting Walmart yet. Are these still scheduled and will they hit retail before Christmas?

Hasbro - Yes, they were delayed while Wal-Mart looked for the right window to get them into the store. They shoudl be hitting stores anytime now...certainly before the end of the year.

That is one of the lamest things I've ever heard.  WTF is the right window other than Black Friday or pre-Christmas sales for their exclusives??  Stooopid WM...   ::)
Thats why Target is kicking their ass. With that said, Target is loosing the good will and edge they had built with the collecting community with their overall attitude and disrespect to once very loyal customers like myself.

I just read at RS their round up of Hasbro ?'s that the price of the comic packs is going up to 11.99 staring next year. Some dumbass actually asked Hasbro to raise the price sot hey could get "better" articulated figures! I thought the purpose of the comic packs was to give the collector a break on the price since it was cheaper to pack the figures this way, according to Hasbro. Well cross these off my list for a maybe buy next year!  >:(

I don't care what excuse they use, the customer is always RIGHT! If a scaler comes in and creates a stink then kick their butt out of the store! I'm not one to go around and ask the team members to get stuff for me from the back, even when I see them stocking, but they still act like jerks.! I think next year I'm going to be doing a lot of my collecting online, saves gas!
