haha, that is awesome. I never kenw about Kenners plans of that stuff, very cool.

A true embodiment of Evil. What sith goes on in the story?  :P

I based the Commandos cloak on the Endor Luke scheme, because its rarely seen. The head isn't even glued on yet, hehe, I have to buy more  glue, I might repaint the helmet too.

Sweet update Dimetrodon!

Landspeeder -

Now this is cool because it adds a cool vehicle.  If you get another one of these landspeeders, I would suggest painting it greenish grey and add on a cannon.  Then you've got a military speeder.

Fun stuff Dimetrodon.  And good luck with those sleepless nights.   :(

 :P

Thanks! I do have another Landspeeder like that one but Plan to keep it as is, because it's the only other I have. But in the new minis set they put out a FLash Speeder with 2 Naboo drivers. looks nice.

I have been up for a good while now and will be going to sleep soon, hopefull waking up in the morning at a decent hour and then henceforth every day.

Just took pictures of these. Some stuff I was working on slowly during some sleepless nights.
Nothing spectacular but I had fun with them. I have some more that will be done not too soon from now, so sit tight.

Rebel Commando, Officer

This guy is made from a Captain Antilles Figure and the head left over from my previous Gran figure, which was made from an Endor Trooper. I don't really like how the camo deco came out but it does give the desired effect. any pointers would be welcomed.

edit: ugh.. i just noticed a splotch on his boot.. I can't believe I missed that.. gah..

IG-72

Simply a repaint, all i did was snip part of 88's cone from the top of his head  :P

Speeder

I was limited by which mini I could put into the speeder based upon their stance, and how they were holding a gun and various other factors. This guy had a pretty neutral pose so I chose him to tool up a bit. He has his hand on the stick shift (is that what it is in SW?) and arm resting on the edge. I pretty much made it as background fodder for dioramas.

Round of applause to Anton for ingenuity, Chewie for sharing webspace, and Dressel for being funny  ;)

It's too bad you couldn't do more with it, but hey, carpe diem! you had the right idea and got in what you could.

Once when I was about five i dug a hole in the neighbors yard to make a mud pie.. something like that, and I wasn't allowed to watch Ninja Turtles for a month. quite damaging...

My mind is always in the gutter.   :)

I still can't believe they haven't made those Tonnika brats yet.  They did release one as a micro figure, so that whole "rights thing" is a bunch of crap as far as I'm concerned.

 :P

Not much likeness on a galoob figure though, I think at that size its just character based and needs lucasfilm approval. but we can hope.

WOW!!!

I think the droids are pretty cool, but I can't get my eyes off the Dino-Rider type creature.  That is awesome... easily one of the coolest things I've seen around here in a while!  I simply love it!

You've just opened up a whole new world for me in customizing... I want to try and make some stuff like this.

Droids are cool, but I can' get over that Raptor. Same one I customized a while back with a brown/Tan deco. Just an all around excellent job, you need absolutely no pointers in the ways of dinosaur customizing, because you've just brought it to an all new level.

Dino Riders was one of my favorite things when I was a little Kid, I still have the Tyrannosaurus and most of the guys from that series. I feel incredibly inclined to customize that Rex for Clone or Stormtrooper use... but its too collectible..

I want to talk about that great gunner too, but the memories of Krulos and Questar are too powerful right now.. I gotta go find those Tapes and watch them now haha..

sorry.

Cool! Thats pretty good stuff there. Makes me wish that I had nabbed mroe than one VOTC fett.
I really like the detailing on him and that Gun is really great? what did you use to make it?
Also, which part of open seasons did you use in reference for this? just a bit curious, because I think he had some kinda marking on his chest.

DAMN!

I've been gone too long! That Quinlan is just pure amazement! One of my favorite characters in the comics, and now just by default My favorite custom of yours up to date. When I first saw it I was like "Oooooo Cooool" (puts lots of excitment in that when you read it  :P)
Just altogether superb and the absolute greatest!
Theres only one thign that could make it better. A Vilmarh "Villie" Grahrk, afterall Quinlan is his lucky Jedi.  ;)

And those preview shots look great, especially the Clone Trooper one. It almost looks completely rendered. Probably the way the camera caught it I guess, but very nice. Can't wait to read it all.

Stealth looked like it would be the worst movie of the summer to me, i'll prolly see it on tv or dvd..
The concept of AI taking over is a Tired story...

good to know wedding crashers is good, I wanna see that. Also want to see Bad News Bears... which I hear isn't great but by no means bad.

Has anyone seen Sky High yet, seems to be getting some good reviews.

I want to see that.. but really only cuz I love comics, and super hero stuff. And because they used real citizens. haha.

I bought the vol. 1 of Preacher about two years ago and Finally read it. I must say, it was excellent, and I plan to get the entire series. I'm not sure what to say about it. It's written by Garth Ennis and illustrated by Dillon, a team who also did Punsher for a good while. Ennis still doing Punisher now even..

Basically about a guy who was a reverend in small Texan town and becomes possesed by an entity.
the spawn of the love between an angel and demon. Something of  Godly origin.. and then it takes off from there..

very cool, and a bit grapic at times.. I reccomend it.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: How long have you collected SW?
« on: July 28, 2005, 05:23 AM »
Hmm, probably arund '92 or so for me. picking up old vintage SW figures here and there in antique shops when I was a kid, and then a year or so later the Micro machines.

Then of course the big boom in '95 with the relaunch.. Not nearly as long as most of you guys though.

I love it, Just some more evil Sith badness for the Jedi to fight with. Please tell me he's going to be in a story one day.
