1:6 Scale Figures and Collectibles / Re: 12" Leia on Speeder
« on: July 21, 2003, 01:53 PM »
There are some nice photo's of the new Leia on her bike that someone took over in the 12" section at rebelscum's forums.  He gives a nice review also.

« on: July 21, 2003, 01:44 PM »
8000 points??!!  How you could you NOT be in the running for something??  I opened all my dolls, ships and other stuff (not all my figures but about half) and I have less than half the points you do!  Heck, I even have the UPC pieces that have no points (Jabba's dancers, orange card back etc..) .
Just curious if you collect dolls also or if all your points are from figures and ships??

Scott, what do you think of Eomer and Frodo now that you have them in your hands?  It's hard to tell from the pictures if Eomer has a good head sculpt or not.

Can I hire you as my LOTR buyer?? :D ;) :)

I know it states that they have "other" items also,  (gee...maybe another Ep1 Watto) so put point values on them also.  How hard is that??
Yes, I know there are some that haven't been able to get the exclusive Sacul figure (or the others mentioned for that matter) but they still aren't guaranteed a figure in an auction.

Sorry, there is just no way that I am going to give Hasbro two thumbs up on this idea.  And please don't say, "They didn't have to do anything" because as far as I'm concerned, they didn't.

I hope it's an army builder of some sort.  I just know that I have a ton of points and should be able to get multiples of whatever they offer.  (That 12" line, along with the ships, really ring up the points).
I just hope it's not one per address.    :P

You found a TW Frodo??!!  Man, you live in toy heaven don't you?  I'll take the extra Smeagol off your hands if you still have it.  Did you ever find another Arwen?
I've read that the new Eowyn is out and packed one per case.  Thanks for posting your finds.  You're the only one that's relatively close by so at least I know what might be hitting in and around Green Bay (Upper Michigan still is stuck on POTJ and wave 2 for LOTR >:( ).

Obi-wan is AWESOME.

He will be my new dining room table center piece along with his MR saber.  Man, that is an incredible doll!!  Garindan is cool too (I've had that name in my book since the late 90's as a rumored 12" figure-glad they finally made it) and the Jawa's are ...well...ok, nothing really compares to the quality on Ben's face (I just hope that the saber is different).

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My girlfriend was doing my hair for a wedding and I had to suffer through one of those tapes so she could keep her little girl entertained while "Mommy" was busy.   I guess it's really popular and she picked up the videos because her daughter watched them at daycare all the time.
It is cute but because those days are FAR behind me, I was really hoping for a power outage or something . ;)

I hope you enjoy the show.  I took my son to the Teenage Mutant Ninja show when that was all the rage and we had the best time!!  ( Jeff was older than 16 months but it's still a blast to do stuff like that with them).

Announcements / Re: Other Toy Lines and You...New Forum Section?

In the words of an infamous doofus

Thoughts?[/i]

 ;D

I can see the logic behind starting something like this.   If you wanted to talk about  the "Simpsons"  and you only had one thread to rely on (so Watto's wouldn't get cluttered) it takes a lot of past digging if you're new here to see if a topic has been covered.  Hence, a new section to other toy lines could have several "Simpson" threads (ie:  Figures, exclusives, environment sets etc..)  and not bog down Watto's.  That said, I think Watto's would still get hit with threads and isn't that kind of what Watto's is for??? Kind of a "catch-all" place?

Funny this should come up since I just started getting interested in the Kubricks figures and that thread is REALLY taken off and it's a pain in the butt to read each page to see if some questions I have are already answered somewhere else. I guess this same thing could happen to someone who just arrived here and seen a "McFarlane" (sp??) thread 20 pages long might repost already covered topics and another section with lets say, five MrFarlene threads might help the person find what they want quicker.

It would be one more stop to check out I guess, so if that's what everyone wants I'll just stop there too!!

*end my thoughts*

JD Sports Forum! / Re: Batter up! The JD Baseball Thread...
« on: July 16, 2003, 12:38 PM »
I agree with you also Matt.   The best record should get home field advantage.  We are a huge baseball oriented family so this has been a hot topic in the household.  I loved watching the homerun derby.  My son was watching the previous hr derby's and McGuire sure ripped the cover off the ball on most of his shots!!

Going to two Braves games in Atlanta at the end of August(and Dragon-con just happens to be in town....whaddaya know) while they host the Mets.  Hubby's all jazzed for that.  I'm still reliving the "Roar of '84" and hoping the Tigers will come back one day. :P
