*finding an unopened bag of Doritos in the back of the cupboard  :D

I don't know Beth, that one might belong in the Guilty Pleasures thread!   ;D  This one is for the simple pleasures, and Doritos are much more guilty than simple (especially at our age!)...

Being able to bend over (and then stand back up) and look in the back of the cupboard and actually spotting something without bifocals is the point I was trying to make.  The Doritos was just a bonus  ;).

Power of the Force 2 / Re: which one is rarest?
« on: July 15, 2003, 09:51 AM »
I've done the same thing ezehogan or should I say my son has done that.  I think the rarest thing he opened was the vintage Luke stormtrooper (how could I tell him no after he fell off his bike?? :-\ ).   He also opened up the old Han in Carbonite but I'm not sure what one would be worth more now.  Oh well, I was such a softy when he'd give me that "I love you Mom" look.  (It's been replaced with the "I love you Mom, my gas tank is one E" look).

Ahh..what a walk down memory lane this topic was.....

That's a tough one, but I'll have to go with holo Leia R2.  That was a great figure.

Yup, that's my pick too!

Wow Carrie, that sounded like a blast!!  I wished I had picked that to go to.  It was closer for my girlfriend but we both decided to try Dragon-con this year.  I think I made a huge mistake since Comic-con looks (and sounds) like it's going to be so much more fun and I've read nothing but positive, up-beat reviews from Mexi-con.

I use the local All-tel company but the kids have "trac-fones".  They have great reception for living in the Upper Peninsula ( no digital towers yet, wait there is one-it's at MI Tech University in Houghton).  Soon we are suppose to get a few digital towers and then I'll probably get one of the slim line versions.

Jocasta's Reading Room / Re: Pre TPM Jedi Apprentance Books
« on: July 14, 2003, 07:14 PM »
I enjoyed all these books because I liked the interaction of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan.  It's a great series to read.  Off the top of my head, I can't remember how many there are but I think it's around 20.  One or two of them actually are flashback books of Obi-Wan with Anakin and Obi-Wan with Qui-Gon.
