So, the hunt begins!! ;)
With all the traveling for baseball in the next month (from Michigan to New Jersey) plus the Hubby's birthday present to Atlanta for a Braves game, I should be able to find something!

Worst twisty tie Star Wars item:  Portrait Edition Queen Amidala. I think that is where MisterPL got a good base for his women ;).

As of late, the 12" two pack of the Ewoks.  Geesh...some of the ties were twisted to the end, I swear it was 12 turns before I got one off!!

Just got all five today.  SWEET!!!

Yoda comes with the belt, necklace, cane, viewing mirror, lightning bolts, green saber and the chair.
His white, cotton hair is hard to see from the front and with the two I got (bought a case from EE) one has a little more than the other.

The Biker Scout just has his pistol and has almost the same articulation as the speeder bike one.
Hands are in a different position (as in the fingers are spread out on the new one).  Higher boots also as well as a shorter neck.  I have comparison shots in the link below.

Luke's new face sculpt isn't the greatest (still has the "mole" on the cheek).  Accessories with this one are the green saber and handcuffs (which are useless as they don't go around both hands).  The button on the back is another annoying feature (how many kid's purchase these dolls and play with them?? ) and not needed IMO.

The ewoks are the best.  Of course, I like Ewoks so..there you go!
Anyways, they have no specific names on the box and both have the skull hats and bags attached.  There is also a necklace, knife, drumstick and a feathery walking stick.  Normal hip and shoulder articulation but nice face sculpts.

I will be putting up pictures on my web page next (ICQ doesn't let me link photo's directly here) so just scroll down to the bottom of the link below.

My sister actually has a video of the tornado that hit her house and what happened with her family.  They just got the video camera and Bob was outside doing some video of this weird cloud formation (and just to point out Gladstone is surrounded by a bluff and lake Michigan so we have NEVER had a tornado nor should we be likely to have one do to our position..or so we were always told).
Anyways...all of a sudden he comes running in the house yelling to my sister to get the three boys and get in the basement.  Jeanne was like "right Bob, a tornado..." but he was adamant so as the rain starting hitting the windows she bustled the kids down stairs.  Now Bob forgot to turn the camera off so he's moving around with it still on (he's carrying it down at his side) and all of a sudden you can see one of my nephews fold his hands together as if to pray and you can hear this terrible noise.  The sound of the wind was incredible.  A few minutes pass and you can see (and hear) Bob going up the stairs (he still doesn't realize he has not put the camera down) and starts yelling, "Jeanne, the campers gone, the campers gone!!" and you hear her yell, "There's nothing we can do about it now Bob!"  He finally puts the camera down and it's pointing at the windows which are covered in dirt.
Later on they went around and shot the smashed camper that landed about 60 feet away, took the tree out of the Jimmy (went right through the driver side window) and boarded up a few broken windows.  Luckily, no one in town was hurt.
It is the freakiest video to watch and listen to because in another hour, the boys would have been in the camper and who knows what could have happened.

Im excited about it though! I hope they show a trailer for The Haunted Mansion! :)

Yes they did show the Haunted Mansion trailer (with Eddie Murphy) along with the movie about the two guys being attached (sorry so stupid looking I can't remember the title).

Thanks for the merge Matt!!

Oops.  Didn't even know there was a thread out there already...and I did look!!  :)

It took me twenty minutes just to write my new topic out because the cat was hell bent on getting my attention.   Well, you can see my thoughts in the "spoiler" thread or merge them together if you like.  Sorry about the double topic.

Watto's Junk Yard / Pirates of the Caribbean-"Spoilers"
« on: July 9, 2003, 07:15 PM »
Just got back from seeing this Disney movie and I must say, I liked it.  Depp does a fantastic job as Captain Jack and his facial expressions make the character all that more amusing. The dialogue seems to be intelligent and witty, aimed as much at adults as teens.   I was surprised to see a lot of kids that were around 5 & 6 in the theatre and the one little girl was crying, she was so scared.

**************SPOILER*****************

The pirate battle was impressive, with the changing of the bones to flesh as they moved about the ship but when Sparrow was stabbed and turned to bones, that was really cool.  That is also when the little girl cried very loudly and whoever she was with carried her out.

**************END SPOILER****************

It's over two hours but doesn't really seem like it as there is action from beginning to end.  I think it should do pretty good at the box office, even with T3 out and should help the careers of both Bloom and Knightley (both of whom are so gorgeous that even the addition of dirt to them didn't hinder the wonderful screen eye-candy).  Of course it's Bloom for me and Keira for the nephews ;).

All in all a fun flick that I will be picking up on DVD.

Great photo's.  I'm almost tempted to get one now.  I got the clean version and I think it would be cool to have both of them together (one above the other).  Too bad I couldn't get the same number that I got for my clean one...that would be awesome!!

This new "deal" is intended for all those who had the card before the deal went into play.

That would apply to me...kind of sucks since I got nothing for signing up when it first came out.  Heck, I didn't even get the actual "picture" card until a few months later!!  Geesh...
Oh well, free stuff is free stuff.  I just used some of my points for the Obi-wan figure since I can't find that one around here.
