Ever wanted to carve a Darth Vader pumpkin for Halloweeen? Or Yoda...or Jabba...

Those are very cool Sharon!  I've seen a lot of incredible Star Wars pumpkins over the last several years.  If you've ever carved a pumpkin, you're appreciation for the incredible jobs of some of these "pumpkin artists" is tenfold!  Just some amazing work...

On a related note, who here has dressed up as a Star Wars character for Halloween before?  I was a very ominous Darth Vader from the ages of about 8 to 10 or so - complete with Don Post helmet and all the fancy fixin's!  I hung on to that helmet all these years, and in a great twist of fate, my wife wound up wearing it, and donning the entire Vader costume a couple years ago for Halloween.  Most amusing when her long blonde pony tail would occasionally slip out the back of the helmet though...   :P

When I was about 8 years old I made my own Luke Skywalker costume. It consisted of a white, long-sleeved thermal shirt, tan pajama bottoms, those nasty green rubber boots w/yellow laces that everyone had as a kid, and a wiffleball bat with electrical tape around the handle as a light saber.   ;D

I was sooooo d*mn proud of that costume.  ;D If I ever come across any pictures, I'll post them.

In 1979 for Kindergarten I dressed up as a Jawa. My Mom made me a long brown robe with an oversized hood and the bandoliers, and I wore black pantyhose over my face! Back in those days I was even allowed to take my Han Solo Blaster into class with me to complete the outfit.

Last year I helped my nephew make an Anakin Skywalker costume fot his first grade party, but he wasn't allowed to take his lightsaber to school.  :(

I do it all the time. Not just for Halloween.   :)

THIS Halloween however, I hope to have a new costume done, and will be a Scout Trooper for the first time.

Last year I was Bib Fortuna and my girlfriend was Slave Leia. We only got third in the rebelscum contest, but we actually won a few NYC contests with those costumes. Ahhhh...Halloween.

Oh yes, we know all about that picture, Ed!   ;D  I'd fashion a guess that if it was just your lady in that shot, first place would've been all hers!  Oh well.  But you still make for a very handsome Bib Fortuna anyways...   ;)

I went as a Jedi for Halloween in 2000.  It was pretty good.

Yeah, you're probably right, Matt! But I like to think I was a very grotesque Bib Fortuna (which is what I was aiming for, of course)  ;D
