Thanks much everyone!!

Very cool new stuff!  I like the death droid and the gladiators especially.

I've found that if you have a head that is "loose" on another figure, a great way to make it tighter is to put a little ball of Sculpey or clay in the head and press it onto the new figure.  The clay then squished down around the ball joint and tightens up nicely.  If you are using Scupley, you can then boil it for a minute or two to harden the Scupley.

A few of the customs I've done lately have been more in depth than entire arm & leg swaps. Many of the recent figures have consistent enough posts that you can also swap parts at the elbow, knee or ankle.  Some end up being loose, in which case, the clay trick works again.

I really wish they would just standardize all the ball joint post sizes (like the Joes) so the parts were completely swap-able.

I keep hearing about how much more durable the figures will be. Did Hasbro figure a way to make figures resistant to firecrackers?

..or BB guns.  I never did find all the pieces to that Dengar back in '82 after he fell in the crosshairs.

Nicely done as always!

My Mawhonic and Aurra both have one leg longer than the other.  ???
It reminds me of my old POTF Bespin Han.

Nice! Better than either of Hasbro's efforts.

Like Jesse said...almost every single one of them has been clearanced and the amount and severity of clearance keeps growing.

Anybody ever talk to Hasbro about the Attack Gunship?  I wonder what happened to a lot of these that were at retail.

I know Amazon really clearanced them out, but it seems like all of Target's stock was pulled back (by Hasbro?).  I don't recall these even hitting 30% off before being removed from the shelves.

Most of the stores on the west side of Minneapolis still have a few of them... at $80.  Not worth it to me.  I got mine on Amazon and am very happy with what I got for their price.

I can't believe I haven't posted new work here for almost two years.  I have a few things I just finished up, and a few more in the works.  Let me know what you think.

The first is a super articulated Hoth Luke.  The new Han with Tauntaun on the shelf upstaged the POTF Luke so bad, I needed to put together a comparable Luke to sit on his new ride.

The next set is Domino Squad from the first episode of CLone Wars season 3.  Of course, Hevy has been available for a while, but I studied the episode to get all the right markings for Droidbait, Echo, Cutup and Fives.

I used some spare parts and a new paintjob to make a new Death Star officer.

I made a Princess Kneesaa out of an old Kenner Wicket years ago, but I sold her, so I decided it was time to have Princess Kneesaa 2.0

Finally, one of my first Star Wars customs was Darth Omen, a Sith Lord of my own design.  I decided he also needed a facelift, so here is Darth Omen 2.0.

Cool.  Thanks.  A friend is making some Jedi costumes for my girls and I want to get them better sabers than the telescoping plastic ones.

Not sure if this is the right forum...  I am wondering about those "FX" toy sabers that Target is selling for around $30.  On the shelf, in the package, when you press the activation stud, the saber lights up for a few seconds, makes a couple 'clashing' sounds and shuts down.  Is this how they always work, or is this a demo mode that can be changed once out of the package?
