Watto's Junk Yard / Military Surplus/Militaria Anyone?
« on: March 24, 2007, 06:37 PM »
I'm thinking about collecting various military surplus, so I wondered if there was anyone here that was into that. A good friend of mine's dad is a SWAT team member, and he had a whole crate of surplus US Military gas masks that he was going to throw out, so he let me keep a couple. I know there are a few military buffs on here, and wondered if they were into this stuff.

Watto's Junk Yard / My Coke Rewards Codes Por Favor?
« on: March 21, 2007, 07:24 PM »
I was wondering if any of yous drink Coke (20 oz bottles & 12 packs to be specific), but toss the cap or cardboard flap (Which have the 3 line code printed on them). I ask this, as I am collecting points for a big ticket item on MyCokeRewards.com, and would like to do so without getting enormously obese and/or rotted teeth. So if anybody drinks the drink but tosses the points, PM them to me. Thanks in advance.

Watto's Junk Yard / Shamrock Shake Lovers Unite!
« on: February 27, 2007, 06:52 PM »
It's that time of year again, time for the Shamrock Shake to rear its delicious green head! Fortunately, a close Mickey Dee's had them last year, and I can only hope they'll carry it this year. So who else is a fan off all things Uncle O' Grimacy?

30th Anniversary Collection / TRU 181st Elite TIE Interceptor
« on: February 25, 2007, 09:50 PM »
Clicky...

Sounds pretty neat. Be cool if they did a red Royal Guard version, like the 3' Titanium Interceptor. Pack in a ROTS Royal Guard and you'd be all set. Or perhaps, it could be a regular Interceptor, but include a new Baron Fel...

But knowing Hasbro, they'll give us a straight repack of the POTJ version and pack in a POTF2 TIE Crewman.

Thoughts?

Led Zeppelin Reunite! - February 1st

Hey, it’s been a long time since [they] rock n’ rolled! The legendary Led Zeppelin are reuniting after a 20+ year hiatus. Robert Plant, 54, Jimmy Page, 58, and John Paul Jones, 56, met a couple weeks ago to discuss a reunion tour at stadiums throughout America. The band split in 1980 after the death of drummer John Bonham. Bonham’s son, Jason, is set to take his father’s post for the tour. Led Zeppelin still holds the record for the largest concert crowds. They are second to the Beatles in worldwide album sales. You do not want to miss this tour. So, show the guys a whole lotta love and grab some tickets. Dates and ticket info will be released at a later date. Stay tuned.

One word: Awesome!

Toy Reviews / New JD Review: Naboo Soldier
« on: November 30, 2006, 07:53 PM »

Clicky For Full Review

This week JJ reviews what is arguably one of the best figures in the TSC line, second to the Death Star Gunner and Biker Scout. I still have yet to see this fig in stores, which is quite a shame, considering how good it is.

Good review JJ.

I was shocked and apalled to discover that one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time doesn't have its own thread!

I love this movie, I try to watch it every year.

Anyone else a JATW fan?

I think a figure this good deserves it's own thread. Still haven't seen it in my neck o' the woods, hope he isn't HTF. So, how many TSC Naboo Flight Crew are in your army?

Other Toy Lines / Rocky Figures Thread
« on: September 24, 2006, 07:24 PM »
Just saw a pic on EE of the upcoming Rocky Figures made by Jakks. They look pretty cool, good likeness of Stallone. Best of all, one of the series 1 figures is Meat!

Is anyone else gonna pick up any of these? I'll definitly have to get that uber-cool Meat, series 3 Mr. T, and one of the 700,000 Rockys they'll inevitably release...

Other Toy Lines / Pogs Anyone?
« on: September 17, 2006, 05:33 PM »
I was just wondering if anyone here has collected Pogs. Used to have a pretty small collection of about 20 or so Pogs that I had inheirited from my older brother, when I was about 7 or 8. I stopped into 7-Eleven today, and to my amazement, saw a case of Marvel Pogs, with metal Slammers too. Needless to say I picked up one of the packs. So I wonder if Pogs are making a comeback? I hope so!
