Paul helped me out with several of the Disney BADs and the R2-D60 exclusive figure and it went perfectly, as expected. It can't be said enough how wonderful and (to steal Rob's word) selfless Paul has been with so many of us here, so not just for me, but for everyone, thank you!  :)

Shoot me a pic of the base and I'll try to figure that out.

PM me your email address and I'll send some pics along. Keep in mind I'm a horrible photographer.  ;D

Most of the Japanese bases are *mostly* interchangable.  I've had the best luck with the Tamashii Stage stands.  I use the Act 4 stand for the human/figures and the Act 5 stages for my Gundam/robots.  There have some cool options too - flames, magic, bricks, stone under the Tamashii Impact line

Take a look at those BBTS links and maybe try one of the Act 4 or Impact stages - you should be able to detach the stand arm it comes with and swap out your Revo stand arm parts.  I've had them work fine with figures from the Revoltech, Robot Spirits and SHFiguarts lines.

I've been considering buying some of the Tamashi Stage stuff anyway, since I've seen those used in a lot of Transformer reviews lately, so it would kill two birds with one stone. Plus they seem to be relatively cheap on Amazon, so that's a big plus as well. All of those look great, though.

FBTB posted the following USD prices, which line up more with what we are used to seeing here in America:

75099 Rey’s Speeder, 193 pieces, $19.99
75100 First Order Snowspeeder, 444 pieces, $39.99
75101 First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter, 517 pieces, $69.99
75102 Poe’s X-wing Starfighter, 717 pieces, $79.99
75103 First Order Transporter, 792 pieces, $89.99
75104 Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle, 1004 pieces, $119.99
75105 Millennium Falcon, 1332 pieces, $149.99

The prices all appear to be "the usual" (ie closer to the 10-12 cent price per piece ratio) but it seems we're getting a small price hike too.

Okay, that's a bit more in line with what I was expecting and/or am used to, price-wise.  I'm hoping that the minifigure selection is good/varied, and there isn't an Iron Man Syndrome with these sets.  At the very least, we won't have to worry about Rey only being in the most expensive set.

Are these the five sets that just got released, or are there more?

75016 - Imperial Assault Carrier
75094 - Imperial Shuttle Tydirium
75093 - Death Star Final Duel
75092 - Naboo Starfighter
75091 - Flash Speeder

Also, has anyone seen reviews of these?  The last four have already been done before and I'm curious if anyone thinks they're interesting enough to rebuy.

That's all that's out right now, but I know there's a new Sith Infiltrator (with Maul, Qui-Gon, Anakin, and Watto minifigures) on the way as well.  Not sure of piece count or cost as yet, but I'm guessing it will be a retailer and Lego Shop exclusive.  I haven't seen any reviews yet, but judging by the boxes at TRU (which has already added their $5.00 TRU tax to the prices), the Naboo Fighter looks nearly identical to the 2011 version.

Got my Boba Fett in the mail from BBTS yesterday.  As it is my first foray into Revoltech figures, I can't really compare him to much of anything, but I do have to say I am impressed.  The articulation is going to take some getting used to, but my first thought was, "I CAN POSE HIM ANY WAY I WANT, HAHAHAHA!"  My second thought was, "I need to get a fancy display base and a display case so dust shall never touch him."   :D

He's slightly smaller than the Black Series Fett in bulk and height (naturally), and has the Revoltech ball joints at pretty much every point on his body (head, double shoulders, elbows, wrists, torso, hips, knees, ankles, and pockets (!)).  He also has hinge joints on his toes, the rangefinder, and on the stock of his rifle (so you can slide the handle into either gripping hand with ease).

He includes six hands (two fists, two gripping/gun, two slightly relaxed; one of each for left and right), his pistol (which fits into the holster), his ESB-style rifle, removable jet pack, and two pieces of a clear flight stand (although no base is included; does anyone know to what kind of base this attaches, because I would like to purchase one).  The hands are easily switchable and most of the pieces come apart with relative ease but hold together tight (the rocket comes out of the jet pack, as do the thrusters; the flamethrower and rocket on his left gauntlet can be removed).

He's detailed fairly accurately (as far as I can tell) to his appearance in ESB, and I'm very happy with how he looks.  Like I said, this is my first foray into Revoltech figures, so I can't really compare him to others in this series.  Compared to the BS Fett, he's very different, but as a Boba Fett collector (my main reason for purchasing him), I'm going to be displaying him by himself anyway, so his ability to fit in with others doesn't really affect my opinion of him.

LEGO / Re: LEGO 2015

The Force Awakens LEGO set names leaked

75099 Rey's Speeder - 193 pieces - 29.99 €
75100 First Order Snowspeeder - 444 pieces - 54.99 €
75101 First Order Special Force Tie - 517 pieces - 76.99 €
75102 Poe's X-Wing Starfighter - 717 pieces - 99.99 €
75103 First Order Transporter - 792 pieces - 114.99 €
75104 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle - 1004 pieces - 129.99 €
75105 Millennium Falcon - 1332 pieces - 164.99 €

Could be an expensive fall if I decide to collect the Sequel sets...

At that current rate of conversion (if my stupid self is reading the currency rate thing on Google correctly), Poe's X-Wing would cost around 120 bucks in US dollars.  That is A LOT for a Lego set containing 717 pieces.  The general going rate for a Lego set in recent years has been 0.10/per piece, and this set would average out at nearly 17 cents per piece.  Usually you can see a bit of a markup when there are relatively unique pieces included (such as with the Dewback or the Hulk/Gorilla Grodd/Wampa "big minifigures"), but I can't imagine what they would/could include with that piece count that would justify a 120 buck price.

Although, if they include about 20 minifigures, I may change my tune.  ;D

The Black Series 3.75" / Re: The Black Series 3.75" - Wave 7
« on: May 24, 2015, 01:14 PM »
My local Target got two Darth Malguses (Malgi?) from the last wave, so that doesn't bode well for them actually getting wave 7, much less wave 8.  Given that the pegs have been bare since before Christmas and their 12.99 price hike, I'm not anticipating a rush to stock much of anything as it relates to Star Wars until September rolls around.  Even then, I'd be willing to bet that Target (or at least my Target) won't have their stuff out on time since they typically seem to drag about 3-5 days behind other retailers when it comes to time-sensitive displays in my region.

Due to space constraints, an upcoming move, and the need to thin things out slightly, I'm doing one of my periodic purges of the collection, and hopefully this will benefit/help someone fill a hole/give someone cheap customizing fodder.  As with most of my past sale posts, everything on the list is loose, mint, and complete; is from a non-smoking home; figures have been stored in Plano 3700 tackle/storage boxes since purchase (with one obvious exception) so they've been kept away from extreme conditions.

Prices do not include shipping and I accept payment in the form of US Postal Money Orders only at this time (I would strongly advise against sending cash).  Figures will be shipped in a protected, padded envelope, although if you buy larger amounts and/or the larger item, it will obviously be shipped in a box, so the shipping costs will be relative to weight.  If you have any questions about any of the items listed, please don't hesitate to PM me.  I have plenty of positive feedback on the boards here, so feel free to check it out.  Anyway, on to the list, and thanks for looking!  :)

LOOSE/MINT/COMPLETE ACTION FIGURES ORIGINALLY FROM MULTI-PACKS: $3.00 each plus shipping

-2008 30AC Order 66 Anakin Skywalker (2nd Assortment) with cloth shirt and lightsaber

-2010 TLC Comic Pack Utapau Clone Trooper with antenna, blaster, blaster rifle, grappling hook (extended), and attached rope

-2010 TLC Geonosis Arena Anakin Skywalker (2nd Assortment) with green lightsaber (hilt and blade)

LOOSE/MINT/COMPLETE BEAST: $20.00 plus shipping:

-30AC TFU Battle Rancor with Felucian Rider (with Bone Sword) and Saddle

Thanks again for looking!  :)

The Black Series 3.75" / Re: Re: Black Series Rumors
« on: January 9, 2015, 06:58 PM »
Considering the fact that I haven't been able to find an entire wave of figures in an actual brick-and-mortar retail store since the Vintage TPM wave in January 2012 (not even kidding), I certainly don't see the distribution issue improving enough for me to even worry about what Target is charging since i haven't been able to find anything there anyway.

That being said, the price increase will likely spread, since Star Wars figures are in such short supply there's no need for TRU or Walmart to actually decrease their prices to compete with Target. After all, if Walmart can't sell those Ric Olies and Mawhonics at 10 bucks, they're not going to sell them at 12-15, so it won't hurt to mark them up. TRU will have their mountains of Biggs and Anakins that they'll mark up, and the vast majority of the new figures planned, if they get released at all, will ostensibly become online exclusives just like the vast majority of the last three years' figures.

Am I being overly dramatic/cynical/pessimistic? Perhaps. Maybe. Sure. All I know is that Hasbro has managed to suck most of the excitement and joy out of (their segment of) collecting these last few years with these types of moves from which they never seem to learn. For me to expect anything less than a complete cluster**** from them at this point would be akin to expecting my ******* to sing showtunes.

I'll be taking that 12.99-15.29 they want for a Chewbacca that would likely be cross-eyed and possibly have two left feet and spend it on more Lego Stormtroopers, thanks.

I had to sign for mine, but luckily I figured this out a few days before the package was to be delivered (thanks to something Yakface tweeted over the weekend) and was able to have it held at the local FedEx store.  Luckily for me, FedEx started holding things there, as up until, well, now, they would only hold things at the local distribution center (which is about a 90 minute drive away) and I would have to take a half day off work to go pick it up.

The worst part is that a friend/co-worker of mine who also ordered a Jabba had hers rerouted to the same store and, for whatever reason, FedEx screwed up and didn't reroute it correctly, so they are still attempting to deliver it to her home.  She got the notice on her front door saying "Customer Not Home; Will Reattempt Tomorrow" despite her having called at least twice by this point (and having confirmation calls and emails to prove it was supposed to be redirected) to ensure the package be held at the FedEx store where I picked mine up.

As for the quality of my package, let's just say "abysmal" would be an understatement.  Jabba was miraculously (mostly) okay, with only a minor ding on the lower right back corner of the box and some "shelf wear" on various parts of the packaging, but the shipping box looked like someone had dropped an anvil on the end of it.  Completely crushed on one side like an accordion.  I'm shocked and amazed that the toy itself wasn't caved in, especially since Hasbro seemed to simply throw the toy inside the oversized box with only some brown paper as packing material.  Part of me wonders why Hasbro would ship something they know is a collectible that people are buying based on packaging and presentation in such a slipshod manner, but then I remember it's Hasbro and their company is built on asinine decisions and never learning from their mistakes.

That being said, Jabba is a nice looking toy.  Wish the dais was "real" and not simply cardboard, but it's nice to have a Crumb and the hookah/pipe to go with him.  Only wish I hadn't missed out on the Carbonite Han last year.

The Black Series 3.75" / Re: The Black Series 3.75" - Wave 4
« on: June 28, 2014, 01:49 PM »
After seeing the horrible reviews of the Dagobah Luke on various websites and the huge step down in articulation on Yoda, I went ahead and canceled my preorder for this wave on Amazon this morning.  I just can't justify 10 dollars a figure for a sight-unseen purchase on a line with such slipshod quality anymore (nor could I ever; maybe I'm just finally accepting the fact that I don't have to justify something simply because it's Star Wars).  The paint apps are quite simply unacceptable and Hasbro should be ashamed of themselves.  I have more than enough Snowtroopers, and the 2004 OTC Dagobah Luke and Yoda are fine for what they are.  I'll take the 30 dollars I was going to spend on those three figures and use them to buy more Lego, I suppose.

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Black Series - 2014 Wave 2
« on: March 9, 2014, 12:06 PM »
Wow, so Hasbro's decided to go with the most ridiculous possible strategy and use their repack slot in this assortment for the ROTS Obi-Wan Kenobi. Not only is he already destined to be the pegwarmer-in-waiting of wave 3, he's also the most haphazardly painted of the three figures in that wave, so it's going to be a double-disaster.

Why repack a hard-to-find figure like Boba Fett or, Jebus forbid, a Stormtrooper, when you can exacerbate your self-created retail logjams?  WAY TO LEARN YOUR LESSON, HASBRO.  ::)

The Black Series 3.75" / Re: The Black Series 3.75" - 2013 Wave 3
« on: January 31, 2014, 01:47 PM »
I found a complete case of Wave 3 (I bought Plagueis and Mara Jade, who I'd never managed to get online) at my local Target today.  Not only was this the first time that this Target had gotten a case of TBS figures since September (seriously), it was the first time I have seen a case of TBS figures show up at ANY local retailer since October, and the first time I've seen anything past wave 1 of TBS at retail period.  Everything I've gotten past wave 1 has been online, so finding an actual figure in a brick-and-mortar store is a totally new experience for me.  Wow.

So, I guess I'm actually caught up for the first time in a long time, even though I still need Starkiller and Shae Viszla from TVC.

This probably isn't the place for it, but do any of you ML collectors here happen to need the torso/legs and tail pieces for the Rocket Raccoon BAF?  I only wanted the Jean Grey figure, and figured I'd pass the BAF parts along in case anyone here might need them and didn't want or need Jean. Just PM me if you're interested in the RR parts.

I got my replacement Slave I today and was relieved that it shipped inside a large brown box with tons of paper padding inside. Aside from a minor ding on a corner (which I can live with), the box was in very good shape. The only odd thing was that, like the previous one, one of the end box flaps was open. All the pieces were there, though, and nothing was broken, so no real harm, just odd.

I do have to say, though, that despite this being a fiasco, at least Amazon is trying to make it right. They've shipped replacements or offered refunds, as well as taking it down from the site until they could straighten things out. Should it have never happened to begin with?  No, it shouldn't have, and Amazon should have known better, and I expected more from them. That being said, the CS reps I spoke to were very apologetic and recognized it was a huge error and tried to make up for it. That's more than most companies (Hasbro included) do when mistakes are made in this day and age.

Back to the toy itself, I have the same wing issue that others have mentioned so ill have to look into fixing that sometime, but, like the AOTC version, it's still a nice toy and worth the price to me, comparatively speaking. I just hope all the shipping issues get straightened out soon so everyone who wants one can get one.

The biggest disappointment in the toy is the Carbonite Han. I was hoping they'd do a new mold, but it's the 2006 TSC version in solid color with the hollow back. Why they would do a totally new mold for that joke Jar Jar Carbonite figure and not at least retool it for a Han Solo is beyond me.
