Most action movies defy the laws of physics... lol, the show mythbusters makes a living off that.

Of all people, star wars fans shouldn't have trouble with batman. History chanel did a whole show on Star wars technology and some things are plausible like speeder bikes... and others are completely impossible like light sabers and the Death Star's Gun that can have multiple laser beams (or whatever) shoot towards each other, change direction when they meet and form one solid beam to explode an entire planet (also unlikely).

But I agree, when movies stick to the confines of reality they're usually better:)

The Tumblers are bad ass... in the fact they are actual running vehicles... obviously the real versions would be worthless in the real world.

The rear end and tires weigh over a ton alone. There are some good videos on You-tube about it:

Those are great finds, even more memoriable if you're the original owner:)

It's in the mail now, some of the guys at POTF2 think it might be fake because of the bubble, they locked the thread before I could reply and say "I hope not, I'll be the first to let you all know."

D-bags lol.

Just think how many people could have been saved if just one person had a permit to carry and shot the ****er in Colorado before he even got a shot off... just like the case of the 71 year old permit carrying man shot back at those fools that tried to rob the internet cafe' in Florida last week...

I guess the "guns are banned here" sign on the theater didn't work:(

An armed society is a polite society;)

Yeah BriansToys has a no-emblem POTF2 red card Fett just like this for $299.00

If you have a Fett without the emblem on his shoulder they're trying to sell it for $500.00

Even more if there aren't circles on his hands, etc.

In the end, figures are only worth what people are willing to pay... looking through Brian's Toys ebay sell history over the last 6 months they've sold some of these several hundred dollar carded POTF2 figs.

It's not often you find a rare figure out there and buy them for a steal of a deal good price. So post up your past or current purchases you're proud of and the price you paid that made it a great deal:)

Today I got this C9 .01 full circles on hands Boba Fett, what makes him special is that he's missing the chest emblem and a lot of the battle damage silver paint:)

Collections / Re: Where Does Your Collection Reside?

Right now my collection of 30 or so POTF2 carded figures are in star cases in a tote inside the house... I'll display them at some point... keeping them out of the sun is my biggest priority in the house.

+1, I've had two blatant instances of attempted fraud on me... one where a guy bought a motorcycle fairing from me and then attempted to return his original broken fairing and say the one I shipped him was broke... the second theif sold me a broken new Amplifier in the box that was guaranteed to work and attempted to back out of his own return policy and keep all my money.

Both lost their cases with paypal and I got my money... however; when I contacted e-bay to remove the false bad feedback off my profile they left and punish/ban the accounts of the clearly bad e-bayers... they said "they'd look into it"

Needless to say the bad feedback never got removed AND the two e-bayers never got banned (after multiple tries)... one did end up ending his account after getting swamped with bad feedback, and the other guy is still racking up bad feedback every five purchases or sells just about lol.

E-bay sucks, but at least paypal has good investigations and I've always had them find the truth, see through the B.S., and handle cases promptly and effectively.

thanks for the policy link. I'd report it, but I think I got a good deal on the figures even if I got shilled.

Ebay saying shilling is illegal is like the police saying speeding is illegal... without shilling and speeders... both would make less money:)

Thanks for all the replies, I'm obviously not going to lose sleep over it, but I've always suspected shilling was possible.

Guys spend endless hours to hack their favorite online RPG game to either take advantage of other players or even the game it's self by having the program play your high level character for you all day gaining you experience, loot, and levels.

Considering that, it's not far fetched there'd be people out there to write shilling programs or even snipping programs to make money.... Ebay can't complain because their sellers are getting top dollar (and they in turn get higher returns)... it's a mutually advantageous relationship, and most buyers are none the wiser.

yeah I was watching the live bidding and the box where the ammount was (the .99 cent high bid) began flickering... I thought it was mearly re-loading the entire page... you know, to say "congrats you won" but no, it stopped at $33.59 my max bid...

When I clicked the bid history... it didn't show all those failed bids of the other person that seemed to happen in a blur... just one of them for $33.33....

IDK, nothing to lose sleep over... just wondering what other people have experienced.

27
I know, that's what I thought... until it's been happend to me for the second time now this month.

This discussion came up on some forum off a google search:
http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=290383

Some people think they somehow hacked e-bay, or there is a computer program to make bids and then stop just before wining the auction, or even that e-bay is in on it lol.

I don't know how they do it. Except that it does happen... I guess I'll be more careful deciding what my max bid will be.

28
Shilling: getting bid up to your max proxy bid on e-bay, usually down to the cent during the last seconds of the auction, so the seller makes the most money possible (according to google search results).

Technically you're not getting ripped off, because you were willing to pay that amount.

It is frustrating as a buyer.... to think that sellers can find out your max bid and then bid one cent below that amount... it even happens if I attempt to bid in the last 10 seconds sometimes.

It happend today, won a lot of POTF2 figures for $33.59, the exact amount of my max bid... the auction had no other bids and I entered it 10 seconds before the end... I could have had the lot for .99 cents and $10 shipping... yet some random bidder with 100% positive feedback of (144) shilled me >:(

I still got a good deal IMO... but it's not the insane deal I was expecting... anyone else have that happen here?

Update: now each figure label has a clickable link (then click the pic in the link) to view a large raw image of each power of the force 2 red card/ orange card (OC) figure. So now it's a photo archive/master list of all the POTFII figures I have.

All the pictures are large enough to show the differences between each variation.

I was thinking about adding the figures I don't have to the list so people would have a complete list of all known variations and errors... they'd be differentiated as a figure I don't have because the label wouldn't have a clickable link.

If you're long distance I can pay with Pay Pal and work out shipping.
