I was.

Although I don't see what the big deal is about just knocking out the last round today/tomorrow.

No big deal either way.

I wish we could knock out the last round in a day or so.  But given I last made a pick for myself on the 16th in the morning and then didn't make a pick for myself again until this afternoon (20th) I'm a little tired of sitting and waiting around.  I've been picking for myself and for Scott as well.  While I'm online far too much anyway, it's rather tedious sitting around and perpetually checking to make sure I don't hold  up the draft, since I'm picking twice each round.  Basically I'm tired of it and as such I'm pullling the pin.   :-\

I'm 100% behind you Brent, this thing has dragged on far far far too long.

I don't agree w/ the free agency thing, but oh well.

In other news Brent, the Detroit News and LetsGoWings.com are reporting that Ken Holland said Datsyuk should be back with the Wings in the next 24-48 hours barring anything unforseen.

Yeah, Datsyuk is back, Kovalchuk still can't decide ::)  Whoopee.

I don't agree w/ the free agency thing, but oh well.

I understand that Jason and I'm sorry.  I just know we're not going to reach a consensus.  I'm looking at it that it's best to end it at this point though because it's the fairest point in the draft.  Two of the guys expressing concern draft in the bottom half of the draft so you now have better odds of getting that last guy you want.  I know I'm in no hurry to fill that roster position at this point.

If there are guys that people desperately want, pm me the name.  I'll keep it private and will assign that player to the roster.  I will follow the draft order though if two guys want the same player.  So if Rob wants guy A and you want guy A then Rob will get him.

For those of us that don't really care at this point we can just sit back and not worry about it.  Being one of the "us" that makes me immensely happy.

I'm up for free agency for the last round - no biggie.  Besides, my team is so damn good that I don't even need another pick.   :P

Ok, the Teams are entered.  You won't see them yet because I have not set the league to live at this point.

I filled the requests for the last round for everyone but there are a couple of issues:

Some players are not yet on Yahoo's active list, so I could not enter them.  Those players and the teams they are assigned to are as follows:

Bushleaguers - Dan Hamhuis, Nsh, D ???
Minnesota IceMuskies - Thomas Vanek, Buf, LW
Shocker Troopers - Alexander Ovechkin, Was, LW

If those names are not associated with your team, do not take them or you will face a one game suspension of your team for the start of the season.

I played a bit with the points issue for goalies but this is subject to a vote, so there are two systems for goalies to choose from:

A.
shutout 3 points
win 1 point

B.
shutout 3 points
win 2 points
tie (prior to shootout) 1 point
loss -1 point

Please pick one as this is subject to a vote.  I will abstain to assure there is a winner, no one else may abstain.

The other points remain the same for the skaters:
Goal - 1 point
Assist - 1point

I vote for A as well.

I'd prefer we avoid negative points for losses if possible.

I vote A...I also don't get the Vanek thing.  He's not in the system yet?  The greatest Golden Gopher of the last decade isn't in the system?

Huh...I'd like him if he shows up, if not I'll take Paul Martin, D (I know him :-*) and call dibs on Vanek
