Toy Reviews / Commander Bacara
« on: August 23, 2005, 06:50 PM »
I was finally able to hunt down Commander Bacara and now that I have him in my grubby paws, It's time for a review.

Sculpt/Features: 9/10
The sculpt on Bacara was very well done, you could tell the Hasbro designers spent a lot of time on this baby. The helmet looks very snowtrooper-ish which is a big plus. The skirt/kilt thingy is well sculpted and and snaps on and off most nicely. Bacara has the same "quick draw" feature as the #6 Clone and works about the same, squeeze the legs, you know the drill.

Articulation: 7/10
Other people have said how bad the articulation on Bacara is but I'm not a big stickler for articulation so that's how it gets its 7/10 rating.

Paint: 9/10
The paint was done nicely, very crisp and clean. The only sloppy area on mine was on the belt but only ever so slightly.

Accesories: 10/10
Ya can't ask for much more in Bacara's accesories, you get the shorter blaster rifle, a heavy blaster rifle, removable kilt, and a whole lotta cold, jedi-killin' attitude. The short blaster rifle is basicley the same as previous versions, and frankly I prefer this to the heavy rifle. The kilt is all new and a good sculpt.

Pricing: 10/10
$6 at most retailers.

Overall: 9/10
Bacara is a good addition to your Imperial Forces and beside the so-so articulation, definatly worth the Lincoln and Washington. I don't think we'll be seeing his snow clones under his command anytime soon, but this is the next best thing.

The 70/80/90's shows are awesome! I'd be cool if they had 70's on a 1-disc DVD for $20, while 80's and 90's, both having a "Part 2", could have 2 discs each and sell for $30. Anybody else like this idea?

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Coca-Cola or Pepsi?
« on: August 9, 2005, 06:19 PM »
Classic Coke. But I can't diss Pepsi too much because Mountain Dew is my second fav drink. One reason I despise all Pepsi products besides Mountain Dew is it copies everything Coke does. Example: Coke makes Vanilla Coke, two months later, Pepsi makes pepsi vanilla. The Pepsi executives, having the brain of baboons, cannot think of anything original. And they were the same geniuses who made up that crazy PepsiBlue.

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Battle of Death Star Wave
« on: July 21, 2005, 10:01 AM »
I thought we were getting 8 figures? If we are, get rid of the Vader and Stormtrooper in my list.

BATTLE OF DEATH STAR (8 figures):

-Stormtrooper Han; VOTC body with removeable helmet and blaster.
-Stormtrooper Luke; See above.

I think we should get just Han in Stormie duds because the last Han Stormie we got was a Froot Loops exclusive while the Luke Stormie was wide-release.
