I saw Jabba's Band battle packs on clearance for $15 each on Saturday. In the clearance aisles with other toys. I might pick them up now.

Saw both Cloverfield and Juno over the weekend. Both were equally awesome.

Dammit... these rule. I'll pick up every set with the ARCs being my priority.

POSSIBLE SELL OFFS: Obi-Wan, BARC Trooper, AT-RT Driver, Palpy's Commander

Looks like the Justice League movie is getting put "on hold" which hopefully means it's getting axed. I doubt they'd be able to do it justice (no pun intended) on the big screen.

I take what you don't want from your sets.  If you do pick them up maybe we can make a deal for what you don't want. let me know?

Yeah man, sounds good. But be warned, I usually change my mind on these things, I've ended up buying a lot of SW toys I said I originally said I wasn't going to pick up. ;)

I totally agree with Nathan here... it'll be a miracle of sorts if the show makes 100 episodes, but 400 is totally out of reach. Look at the Simpsons, they just had their 400th episode last year and that show has been airing since 1989.

Lucasfilm may have high hopes and dreams for this show but if the ratings are bad then the network will have no problem axing the thing. That's really what I'm worried about here. Star Wars shows are really only going to be watched by Star Wars fans. You're probably thinking that there are tons of Star Wars fans that will make this show a ratings success but you have to remember that there are OT purists who will not watch anything set in the PT era, there are Canon purists who disregard the EU... so really the show is only going to be watched by the hardcore fans who eat up anything Lucasfilm gives them with a spoon.

I hate to sound so negative but it's really funny how McCallum has all these false hopes and dreams for the series... they should just focus on trying to make a good show that will hook not only SW fans but casual fans as well because once the ratings go south... it's over.

EDIT: Woah, didn't notice Nathan's post was from a 3 months ago... oh well, same argument still applies. :)

My wallet

I like it due to the two slots in the front for ID cards (easy for me since I have to use my school ID a lot) and the inside can hold about 6-8 credit/gift cards and whatever else you need. Plus there's a lot of space for cash.

Uh, I hate these sets... not that they're that bad at all, but I'm only buying them for one figure. Example, I want that Palpatine and the little blue guy but could care less for the clones (didn't we get that exact same Clone Commander in the O66 packs last year?) and I want the ARCs but could care less for the Jedi.

I haven't seen any at Target for a while but I saw some Comic packs at WM for $10.88 today so looks like the price increase is everywhere.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Terminator the Series
« on: January 9, 2008, 03:06 AM »
I'm kinda confused by the timeline of the show... I assume it takes place when Sarah Connor is pregnant and the woman is the Terminator sent back in time to protect her? Who's that dude then?

I agree with Jesse, I'd rather see a series based on a squad of soldiers set during the war. Make it kind of like Band of Brothers, but in the future... and with machines as the enemy. Nevertheless, I'll try and check it out.

Anyone interested in army building the Mandolorian from the Fett set? I only want the Fetts from the set, no interest in the Mando Warrior.

I wonder if there are going to be any rules reguarding the UPC's, because it'd be funny if someone sent Hasbro a bunch of UPC's with Jedi Master Points on them. Hopefully we won't have to buy "specially marked" UPC's because I've got about 20 sitting around right now.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Clone Wars or The Force Unleashed?
« on: January 8, 2008, 02:07 PM »
Looking forward to both, but Clone Wars ultimately ends up with the win. As previously said, the CW cartoons were amazing and the TV show looks to be about 8 times cooler. Also, like Jeff said, CW is going to expand on pretty much everything (character relationships, character personalities, the war itself) while Force Unleashed is just a one time only type of deal. I'm only going to pick up a handful of TFU items but I may go all out with the Clone Wars.

But even so, surely they realize how sucktastic that Ilum Padme was?  :-\

Didn't they say in one of the Q&A's that they thought it was "pretty darn good for a preposed figure"?  :-\
