30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 30AC McQuarrie/Concept Figures

I almost forgot about my order.  Thanks for the bump on this thread!

Hmmm...I just checked my email and it says that my 2 Obi/Yoda packs shipped today, but the website still shows a ship date of 09/03 and that my order is partially shipped.   ::)

I so loathe dealing with HTS....but where else am I going to get this crap at for a fairly decent price?

I just got this email as well... guess we'll find out within the next few days or so.

I caught Superbad last night. I think I've found my new favorite Teen Comedy movie.

Yesterday I picked up 300 (with free copy of Alexander)

Five finger discount??

Nope.

Wal-Mart had this set for the same price ($19.96) as the single disc set of 300 so I figured 'what the hell?' and snagged it. I wish Alexander was in widescreen, but it was free so I can't complain.

A local Wal-Mart has tons of every figure except for the Snowtrooper. They're on a huge endcap with tons of the Coin Albums and I Am Your Father's Day packs. They even threw in all the Endor Hans and Greedos from last year onto the pegs. I laughed at that whole endcap.

I've also ended up getting a Wii after seeing them at multiple Wal-Mart stores. I still need to pick up a game though, and I'd like to get a few Wii Points cards to pick up some older games from the Virtual Console. Too bad I'm trying to save my money at the moment.

Yesterday I picked up 300 (with free copy of Alexander), Disturbia, and Hot Fuzz.

Yeah, it was hard to pick but I just chose some figures I really want to see. Post OTC Cantina figs and Early Bird Chewbacca (since I never got them), and two of the better Battle Droid sculpts. I also picked the IE Wedge just because I think Wedge deserves a mass retail release.

I picked up the Tusken Jedi/"Dark Woman" pack at WM tonight. They also had the Infinities set but it looked odd to me so I passed for now (though I may get it later for the Vader). No Luke/Mara to be found, so I know which one will be the hot seller of the wave.

1. Stormtrooper (Vintage OTC, 2004)
2. Chewbacca (Early Bird Set Exclusive, 2005/2006)
3. R2-R9 (30AC Episode I Tin Set)
4. Feltipern Trevagg (OTC, 2005)
5. Dannik Jeriko (OTC, 2005)
6. Security Battle Droid (POTJ, 2000)
7. Boomer Battle Droid (POTJ, 2000)
8. Red Royal Guard (ROTS, 2005)
9. Sun Fac (TSC, 2006)
10. Wedge Antilles (Internet Exclusive, 2005)

So it'll come out next Spring/Summer then. Interesting. I like that they're actually taking time to make the game perfect and not rushing it out just to compete with Halo 3.

Hmm, that Elite still doesn't look "right" to me. Looks like all they really did was repaint the Biker Scout and maybe sculpted a new helmet.

Besides, if things DO get out of hand we have the mods who can quickly clean up any mess that's created.

I say go for it. We don't really have anything to lose.

Hmmm... but if it's unmoderated then just how will they do that?
We don't have anything to lose...? Interesting.

DS

I meant that as in if a "feud" were to spill over into the Hasbro section of the site then the mods could clean it up quickly.

And by my second comment, we really don't have anything to lose, IMO. It's not like anyone's going to look down on this site for trying something different (different for SW sites at least).

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: The Simpsons: The Movie
« on: July 30, 2007, 02:31 PM »
Saw it, loved it, want to see it again. I thought this was like 98-99 Simpsons level of funny, not quite as good as the early seasons but still great. I will agree that the middle dragged, but I think the same of ROTS and that's a fine film.

My favorite part of the movie was definately the (SPOILER) cameo. That was so damn hilarious! "Ruffle my hair, Mr. (SPOILER)!" Spider Pig and Grand Theft Walrus made me LOL as well.

Can't wait for the DVD.
