Star Wars Rebels / Re: Recents Finds and/or Purchases
« on: June 20, 2015, 09:50 AM »
Yesterday Night I bought Luke Skywalker SL22. Seems is the rarest figure from its wave.

I like the sculpt, cause when facing it with 6 inches TBS Luke pilot, it looks as the mold has sinked into 3.75
for accuracy of the Star Wars Rebels line.

The Black Series 3.75" / Re: NYCC 2014

The new 6ĻEmperor Palpatine spots a frown visage, and wider face than previous versions.

Yoda 6 inches was closer to a neutral face sculpt; while they nailed that gesture on saga legends 2 pack.

The case of Boushh Leia, both 6 and 3.75 is that they achieved the casual look of young Carrie, a better
eyes makeup, and that ideal of determination glance for a hero or heroine.

Its crucial for her appearence how her sculpted lock of hair on her forehead softens her expression.

Carbonite Han and Boush Leia hide knee articulations perfectly on 3.75 inches scale.
I wonder if Mossep skirt has a slot at the side to let him seat on a playset.

The 6 inches line is refreshed with Luke stormtrooper and Leia Boush; in certain way that would be the best face sculpt for
the last Slave Leia.

Hi Nicklab, I havenīt seen aliens, but indeed lots of influences from major films are soon to be unveiled.

Perhaps the narrative of the series will get even more complex as the animation team explores the sources
from drafts and also EU.

I think for Kallus survival and similar situations (a guy holding from a column, a broken wall in a vacuum tempest)
there lack details, and maybe one of them could be the use of a repulsor lift device inside their belts.

SW never needed to explain technology, cause always the movies accepted it for granted, but
in times of realism in cinema, they could give a glimpse on that. Cheers :)

I liked how they showed the interior of the star destroyer.

And they explore the perils of space travels like the scene of descompression where some
stormies and personal were swallow by space.

Kallus survived that and another risk clinging over the abyss.

As these scenes are fast,a nd for kids, they donīt tell us much on "how the agent managed to survive", but is
like a bit of information about what is consider in the imperial survival training.

Thanks for comment Jesse, I liked your post.

I watched some clips reviews and if my eye does not fail....
seems there are 2 versions of that #21 Luke from Dagobah.

The one without wrong paintjob on hair could come with
a darker tone of it (more closed effect of painting)

while the semi bald is more orange-light brown.

Best wishes :)

The Black Series 3.75" / Wanted corrected carry forwards

Hi collectors

We have seen at black series some corrections of past line, like the Dak Ralter tvc into tbs getting his darker boots.
The TBS #21 Luke Skywalker (dagobah training) could perhaps get the correction of the current irregular hair paintjob and darker boots to differentiate them from the pants.

I checked at this blog, one unit of this figure which spots almost complete brown paint on the hair.

http://comeseetoys.blogspot.com/2014/07/star-war-black-series-375-luke-yoda.html

Maybe tvc dagobah landing Luke could get longer legs to deal with his arms.

I thought I could buy one Dagobah Luke like the one on the quoted blog, but at a mall,
in my country, after visiting 2 shops, both units presented the premature baldness issue,
which is really disgusting.

Which figures will you buy if Hasbro corrects errors in upcoming carry forwards?

Do you think is more likely to correct paintjobs rather than sculpts?

Thanks for your attention.

Today watched "Entanglement" short:

-The tie fighter pilot sans helmet looked like the TSC imperial gunnerīs face.  :)

-For the plot, the production team must determine "the range of wave explosin" of a TIE fighter (troopers survive)

-The foretold oppression of the empire touches a very domestic sphere: soldiers persecuting ambulant fruit sellers.
Maybe it turn into how they conquest a planet (like mandalor from cw) but until that, the oppressed ughanut is only an emotional leit motiv for a poor harmless guy, cause he doesnīt provide more background of that status quo.

-Zeb is a blend of bodyguard and bouncer, if he is intended to provide a "Chewie role", with the plus of his speech,
must say that the wookie on OT was more expressive in gestes and actions.

-Seems animation colour is a bit brighter than CW, due to that sunny desert but also because production line wants a less sombre
narration.

About Sabine mandalorian girl in art attack: it looks like an operation from a video game (sabotage),
but the actions are being trying to be justified; moments before a stormtrooper abused a civilian.

This is for kids, all right, but it is appealing for interest in adults too, cause Disney has looked at artistic motivation.
In a guerrilla campaing, rebels could live solitary lives, and so thus art is their main company.

Art attack is a blink to the contemporary street art, also represents the imaginary against the establishment.

Canīt critic this, for me is acceptable, but not excelent yet.

This is for kids, again, and we are adults, 35 years after we watch an activist artist in rebel lines, wish to listen the speech of a poet soon. (If check OT databank, Teebo was an ewok poet).
