Check it out on our front page to visit the brief production video of this anticipated assassin of steel and wire. They're going to be hard-pressed to top what I consider one of Hasbro's ultimate 3.75" figures. I'm curious to see SS's product, which they should be able to take to the next level due to the increased scale. It's going to be tough for them though I think.
-
SS, just stop please, you are killing my wallet.
-
Oh man, I really hope that is in my price range!
-
I'm betting with all the details and parts count, it'll be in the $120-150 range.
-
Ouch. It may still be doable, depending on when it comes out. Just don't tell the wife. >:D

That could be why your in the basement.

Well I just preordered the exclusive version, a little expensive but i can see myself picking up the bounty hunters and not be too upset about it.
-
Outstanding, and really for what he is (how would they re-use him ever, besides maybe a heavily retooled IG-Lancer Droid or a white IG-88 repaint), I think $174.99 isn't too bad. He's really complex looking.
Sideshow's proving they can do a lot more than humanoid characters.

It really, really stings though, that they'd make the Vibro-Axe an exclusive accessory. He's got it in the movie. It's visible on the prop. So it's pretty bumming that the majority will have an inaccurate figure without the axe. This is the type of thing I think they should NOT do for exclusive variants. :-\
Love Sideshow, just don't like this as an idea. The figure's incredible though.

Check out the video (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=34575) with him and Fett. It'll be damn near impossible to pass on these 2.
-
His friggin' head lights up...
His head people.
-
$175... ouch... that makes it hurt.

This has seemed to be the typical SS mode for the past couple of years. Up until these last few preorders, pretty much all the 12" stuff had shipped, with the Waxer 2 pack coming out soon. Now we are getting a ton of preorders all in a row. Last year it seemed to be the same thing where all the previous years preorders shipped and then they hit us with a ton of preorders in short order. Not that I can complain when they are doing new stuff like IG-88 and the battle droids without much "duplicates" like Gree. However, even Gree is a bit unique with the armor color and head sculpt. With Boba Fett coming, I can only imagine that Jango isn't too far behind. I wonder if we will be seeing Dengar, Bossk, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss in the not too distant future.

I know what I'm getting for my birthday this year now. I can finally retire the old PotJ IG to the Barbie house now.
Edit: the head looks a little off... reconsidering... but did you see the Boba Fett!!??!!!!
-
Great depiction of both characters in the 12 inches line.
The wires of IG88 knee joints are flexible enough to vary his pose. The paintjob impressive metalized body, chrome, bronce and oxid: the worn look.
Boba Fett is also a cool evolution of this scale, specially the gauntlets... today at minimum detail.

With those prices it is possible to pass! Especially if I want to stay married ;D
-
When does the Fett go on sale? I would love to get him (and IG88), but that price tag is harsh. Totally worth it by all appearances, but still hard to stomach relative to the rest of my purchases lately.
-
Even with Flex Pay, I don't know if I can pull the trigger on this. IG-88 looks nothing short of amazing, but the finances are just a little bit tighter these days.
-
I'm still trying to determine if IG88 and Boba Fett Sideshow figs or continuing to be married. Still too close to say yet.
-
Nobody will love you like IG loves you Nick.

My girlfriend would beg to differ. ;)
-
IG 88 won't be ignored.
-
Was holding this in my hands yesterday. For $180 it was mine. Just couldn't do it. Wanted to so bad though.
-
Got mine a couple of weeks ago. Definitely everything I hoped it would be. Previous headsculpt issue was only on the prototype. My PotJ IG is off to spend retirement in the Barbie house.
The mystique of this piece delivers where the vintage one promised 30 years ago but never could meet the expectations of the modern collector.
