Wow, I might pick that Spidey up. I know I said in another thread I don't want variants of Spidey figs, but I still need a good Spidey to go with my Marvel Legends. This might be it.
Mikey, may I suggest looking at page 8 of this thread... :-* Where I tell you the same thing and you sayQuoteWow, I might pick that Spidey up. I know I said in another thread I don't want variants of Spidey figs, but I still need a good Spidey to go with my Marvel Legends. This might be it.
ADC ::) :P ;)
Just get the dang thing, he is awesome :-*
Oh and Julius Marx is reporting that Wave 7 of the Spidey Classics is out now (Green Goblin, Peter Parker and more ;))
1.juggernaut
2.hawkeye
3.cable
4.wolverine(weapon x)
5.pheonix
6.deadpool
Anyone still need a Goliath? I may have a couple coming to me which I ordered off of Amazon, I'll wait and see what actually comes
Wal-Mart had Sabertooth, Mr.Fantastic, Silver Surfer, Nick Fury, and 1 Colossus no Red Skull or Blade!
Who's sitting in front of Elektra's house :-X
Now I'm sure I want the Phoenix figure :'(
What's a Doop?
Some of those figs look awesome. Hawkeye and Juggs are probably my favs right now (Love that Antman arrow).
And for some reason, I really like that Man Thing figure. For such an obscure character, I think it looks great.
I'm definitely buying the Spider man / SS pack. The Doc Ock and Kraven, I can do without, but to get the rest of them its well worth it.
The FF set I'm still undecided. I really, really want the Invisible Woman, but to get this set just for her seems extreme. I'm happy with my MF, DD, Torch and Thing figs I have now and can't warrant the price for her, a brat kid and a stupid ass robot. Maybe if I see it on clearance, I'lll pick it up.
I'm reading some old Avengers right now...She Hulk was a whiney ***** back then...
I think Kitty Pryde is the one that Wolverine had an illegal affair with, but nobody spoke of it cuz she was under 18 :-X

But you'll have to forgive Brent, he's getting senile ;)
... and I'm thinking about getting Ben Reilly's version of the costume (even though the clone saga's a real low point in the comics).
Has anyone tried arranging all the various pieces of the sentinel bases? Have they given us enough parts to build a 'floor' made out of a sentinel? Just wondering if they put that much forethought into the process. Otherwise, why so many Sentinel pieces?
This looks amazing!

Should only be a few weeks and they'll start showing up here

Linky no worky.
Something weird about Logan's shoulders though...it almost looks like they ripped off the shoulder pads from Tiger Wolvie and repainted him Brown/Gold...bub
Although these sets are a little older, I see that Amazon has the Urban Legends ($9.98) and X-Men Legends ($14.98) box sets on sale now if anyone is interested.
X-Men Legends (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000096QL1/ref=pd_sim_toys_1/103-5016487-2311841?v=glance&s=toys)

Yeah I am looking for Abomination as well, but up a thread in the trading section, no responces yet. :(
Yeah I am looking for Abomination as well, but up a thread in the trading section, no responces yet. :(
No, people want an arm and a leg for it. A few show up on the spawn.com trade section (toys) but same deal, sell me your soul and you can have it.
:P
Well if people really want a Black Cat figure, they can always go for the Marvel Select version.
Will keep my eyes open for Mr. Carnage for you Ben. MOMC or opener?
Maybe we'll see the Hulk figs and XMC you mentioned in box sets at the least later on. Here's hoping anyway. And does anyone else want a ML Mary Jane? That doesn't suck?
I have only picked up the "super-poseable" Spidey from the Spider-Man 2 line so far, but after reading THIS REVIEW (http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_062104b.htm) over at mwctoys.com, I'm awfully tempted to get this magnet version just for fun. Some of those poses look pretty cool, the magnets must be fairly strong. Has anyone picked this figure up yet?
I'm not digging the clear Vision either. I'm glad the chases are back to being lameass variants of the regular figures.
We need a Kingpin figure.
Also, Nicklab, I noticed that you are looking for the Urban Legends 4-pack, and just thought I'd let you know that Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000096QL0/qid=1089724506/br=1-1/ref=br_lf_t_1//104-7459297-8934341?v=glance&s=toys&n=3665851) has it in stock for $9.98, with free shipping. Probably not too bad a deal if you are still looking for it.
Scott. Red Goliath?
I don't think painting would work...it's pretty hard plastic so its not porous and probably wouldn't hold the paint
To my amazement, a TRU put out the latest wave of SMC and I managed to pick up the Black Spider-man and Rhino. Nothing new in terms of ML and I still have not seen Carnage himself, just remnants of his case. Eventually, I'll stumble across one.
Damn, now I wish I'd have picked up those two other Carnages for you guys.
They were cheap too. You might want to check your local Targets since they're clearing stuff out now. That's how I got lucky.
Only wish some other stores *cough*TRU*cough* would do the same.
Picked up Black Spidey today at TRU, nice figure, better than the first...another figure goes into the box of shame >:(
Picked up Black Spidey today at TRU, nice figure, better than the first...another figure goes into the box of shame >:(
I caved and bought the new Rhino and black costume Spiderman. Bad collector! You already have the SC versions!
I saw a Spiderman Classics 2-pack tonight with Spidey and Doc Ock. Anybody else seen these?
Maybe the big change is they'll stop putting Wolverine in every damn WaveAmen to that. Maybe they'll spin off a full X-men classics line so they can get on with Marvel Classics.
mohawk Storm variantPardon my feeble old memory, but this is another thrown into the mix version aside from the regular paint chase variant? ::)
Just found Wolverine from ML 6 at the local TRU!!!
The one box set I'm somewhat concerned about is the Fantastic Four chase set. I'd really like that clear Invisible Woman, but I hope it's not too difficult to find.
I think the FF chase set was a bad idea from the beginning. Maybe if the cases were half and half it would make some sense.
Lovely. With TB's ****** case assortments and stores over-ordering, I foresee more pegwarmers to go with all the Spider-man, X-men, X2, Hulk and Spider-man 2 movie figures.
That said...on the subject of movie figures....has anyone seen that last wave of Spidey 2 figs, with the bendy Doc Ock and "pizza throwing" Spidey or whatever it is called? Those are out here Brian. I wasn't aware the first Ock was non-bendy tentacles. If so, then I've seen three versions of Ock. First, with glasses on, nonbendy; second, glasses to the side in the package, nonbendy and third, bendy tentacles with glasses on. I'll have to check my glasses off version to see if it is bendy or not.
Looks like She-Hulk won the DIamond Select Contest.
Well, I have a spare deadpool now. Emailed the guy that asked me to pick it up, only to find he already has one and doesn't need this one. He forgot to email me to tell me ::)
Hey Brent, I still might need a Juggernaut :P::)
Pretty solid line up with the exception of Deathlok (I have no idea who that is)
Possible Series 9Looks like this list from back in April was pretty accurate, I would guess 1st Appearance Wolverine will be in Series 10
1st appearance Wolverine
NightCrawler
Deathlok
Dr. Strange
War Machine
Bullseye
Pro. X (Chase)
The not hits just keep on coming >:(
almost like they are sharpening the edges.
I can't believe it! I actually found the FF Box Set with the chase version of the Invisible Woman in the middle of the afternoon in a WalMart. Sweet!
A TRU near me had two FF box sets. Both Invisible Womans were missing. ::) Go back to this same TRU recently and both sets were no longer there. I hope somebody didn't buy them.
This TRU did have a SS box set. Didn't pick it up because I was low on funds.
I can't believe it! I actually found the FF Box Set with the chase version of the Invisible Woman in the middle of the afternoon in a WalMart. Sweet!Found the same...same spot too on the top shelf. I'm going to return my regular set and pick up a Movie figures probably for Sue...otherwise I would extra Things, Franklins, Herbies, Fantastics and Dooms if people want them
There are multiple case packs for 5 and 6, I don't see why it wouldn't be the same for 7, plus the rumors are these will be found much more abundantly...I would suggest if you see 6 figures you buy them, maybe just to hold onto and trade somewhere down the line
Holy **** I want one! I havent seen them in stores at all, just the Comic Book one. :o

http://www.bigbadtoystore.com has both ML 6 Wolverine and Punisher in stock under their inventory clearance page for $5.99 each.
SOmething tells me they aren't too happy with all of those figures they recieved. Of course these were paid for long ago by what BBTS charged for Phoenix and Deadpool alone.
And Better Looking? Pfft. I have a date Friday and Saturday. Do YOU? Your still old.
I wish I could find a Captain America.

THANKS FOR NOTHING TOYBIZ
Wow, See here's the thing. Toy Biz for the last 5 or so yerars has run it's buisness as an FOB company. Now I've explained this before But let me give it a shot again. What that means in a nutshell is that we dont ship anything from HK, the reatilers who buy our products do. This is just the way this company works. So when you buy a toy biz produt the reatil chain that you get it form has shiped it to the states, or wherever, themselves. Even if we werent a FOB company we cant tell a reatiler what to buy or how much of it to buy.
I understand people's fustration with not being able to find this ( ml 7 ) assortmenst right now because some people have found this assortment and ususlly when that happens theres a mad rush to go out and find the stuff. But I would hazard a guess that Diamond dind't order a lot of prodcut, in comparison to what is on the water right now for Target, TRU, and of Course Wallmart. You should all keep in mind that its days away from October and all above mentioned retail chains are gearing up for the Holiday season. Witch means that there will be a glut of product ( ML 6&7) at retail in a month or so.
( witch by the way there's a saying in thetoy industy. There are 2 seasons...X-mass and the rest of the yerar)
I also cant help but notice that there is a lot of anger directed at toy biz for case packouts. Packouts & weighting is not an exact science and we have to make educated guesses months in advance of production for weighting so a factory can order all the supplies needed for each perticular figure i.e. comics, and plastic in the correct colors. In the case of ML 6 we have reweighted this assortments so BCW & MP are weighed much lower. And ML7 has a much more even packout now as well.
Now when it comes down to a specific comic shop reatailer they can charg what ever they want for a product, and probably will, if they think someone will pay that much. Its called supply and demand. The demand is high and the supplyis low and you have crazy Eddie coming up with crazy prices and that aint low!!! There is a reason the character on the Simpson is so funny, do you know why? it's because it's a truthfull characterization. My suggestion is to save your gas dont drive all over town until the Holidays. This way you can keep your stress level down and you wont feel the need to come to New York ( or rtm fior that matter ) and Raise Toy Biz to the ground.
We ( the staff of TB) are very proud of our lines we work very hard on them and we re always trying to make them better, and want nothing less for our products to get in front of the people who want to buy them. Were not tryint to ruin anyone's day or burn anyone and it's frustrating to read those kind of comments over and over so I hope in some small way I could help to clear up some of the passonate pleas I've read on this site recently.
-Jesse
Check your TRU's guys. I just hit one up, and they were stacked.
Kevin
Ooh! I'll take 'em!!
:) What do you want for them?
How are you guys doing for Dark Phoenixes up there, Morgbug? Surprise, I'm looking for that one too.
Woot, just met a guy in the TRU parking lot who traded me Phasing Vision for Vision and Hawkeye that I had from my case
I saw that at Fwoosh a couple of weeks ago...I think those went up the same time the FF shots did a month or two ago. I'll be getting them all except Deathlok, War Machine and maybe Bullseye

I want an origional Ghost Rider. >:(
Wave VII - Picked one up yesterday. Still need Hawk, Apoc and Viz, though >:(The cowboy??
Nope, not the cowboy. Leather jacket, flaming head, blah, blah, blah. I'll only pick one up if the transformation version falls into my lap. I'm sure it's packed in the same case as the transforming/clear Vision, so highly doubtful ::)
Well, X-crap is definitely overdone, but there are still a few on that list I'd like to see. I didn't vote, but these are my top five:
She-Hulk

There's a killer looking Marvel Select She Hulk that will be sold at the Wizard Conventions this coming year. I believe she'll be in scale with Marvel Legends, too. I'll definitely be buying this piece at WW in Philly.
BTW, has anyone seen the Marvel Select Doctor Doom? It looks awesome! This might be one of the few Marvel Select pieces I buy.
BrentDang, I should pack some stuff up for you :-\ I doubt it will be tomorrow, but soon. Vengeance trading ;D
Your figures are on their way north tomorrow :-*
There are some very strong rumblings that starting with Series 9 there will be pack-in figures of large scale that will be included with each figure of a Wave. The two being mentioned are Galactus and a Sentinel
Case packouts would be equal and you would get a piece of the larger figure in each package to assemble a large (16") figure. Seems like a cool idea and a great way to get Galactus and the Sentinel
And you may have 3 wolverines now :-X :) Bwaaahaaahaaahaa
BTW, our TRUs are littered with Namor and Beast, no clearance in sight. Ever ::)

Duly noted suh. Only way I'll buy one as well.
Well Series 8 Marvel Legends are on eBay already. Almost 100 bucks for a Storm with Mohawk. ::) Even though they are in the Far East they are still crazy prices.
Dang, the S6 set is getting harder to find eh? Not good, not good at all. Will have to begin hunting.
My only hope is that Brent loves the bonus Weapon X he got along with Hawkeye, Vision and Apoc in the mail today! :)
I ordered the set yesterday morning, the stupidest thing is that they don't ship orders in the order they were received, someone could come in and order them in like 2 months and get them before I would
Those came from some e-tailer. Really the only one that doesn't make sense is the Vengeance figure. He's about as much of a Marvel Legend as I am
I ordered one very early last night before a lot of people found out about it...the stupid thing is that Amazon ships willy nilly and not in the order in which they received them so I'm not holding my breath
The other thing that smacks of no f'n way...they are still In Stock. No way they still have 200 of them laying around
I don't care waht anyone says, there is no way they still have them In Stock, someone messed something out. The crap thing is is that I probably won't get one even though I ordered fairly early on >:(
My order was totally obliterated from the Amazon system for Dark Phoenix. Nice job again Amazon ::)
My order was totally obliterated from the Amazon system for Dark Phoenix. Nice job again Amazon ::)
I just don't get why they do this continually. Vision, Red Skull and now this, its all BS
$15 for nothing?
I'll take it. You'd think they'd get tired of handing out gift certificates because of this line.
Now if they'd get some new LOTR or SW stuff in stock, I'd be stoked.
My case of Series 8 will be here on Christmas Eve, hope I get the variant one :)
I haven't heard anything on GG or Electro. I'd buy them both, and the Venom too if you can get it cheap. No large tongue marring his appearance.
I guess Ock has 61 POA but that includes Tentacle Joints
Sounds like Hulk Classic Abomination and Absorbing Man will be in the Spider-Man Classic Two Packs at Target, which is cool because I want an Abomination :)
At RTM, Fwoosh and AFT ;)

I guess since he's the offspring of two X-Men, he gets inclusion.
Starting to have second thoughts about that ML 8 on Amazon. I'm thinking I'm just getting caught up in the hype-- I really don't want any of those characters.
According to the new issue of Wizard, Cable was on the X-men. They listed all 43 members in order of joining. Cable was after Maggot and Marrow, but before the White Queen, so he joined (and left) somewhat recently.
Supposedly, the rumor is that there are actually chase cases out there.

Didn't they try this once with not so great success? I smell pegwarmers.
Yeah, definitely lots of crap. Not surprised to see things like "The Thing" Hands, since we saw those Hulk ones everywhere when that movie was out (and still now probably, if you look in the right places.
Yeah i saw all that stuff this morning. I noticed that there is no invisible woman figure.

I'd be interested in that Sandman, Ben. LMK what you're looking for.

My want list is here. (http://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=3567.0)
I'm mostly looking for the Art Asylum Star Trek figures, but I still need anything on the list.
Thanks.
Found the Fantastic FOur boxed set at Wal-Mart tonight for $15. I thought it was cool, so I picked it up.
Found the Fantastic FOur boxed set at Wal-Mart tonight for $15. I thought it was cool, so I picked it up.
Thanks for ordering that box set Mikey. Great news for us and even better news for Brian, since now that I own it, the price should drop precipitously in very short order. Kind of hoping for the FF box set to drop on Amazon now though. $15 would be ok, but I'd still prefer it cheaper. Just be a pain to have three versions of the Thing I like the trench coat version best still, so I'd only have two to unload. Yippee.
Rumor Mill is stating that Wave 9 will be out next month...and there might actually be 5 waves this year :o
Went ahead and ordered series 9 from AFX.com. Might as well take a shot at the chase pieces and guarantee a Galactus and the short packed figures, if there are any.
If anyone wants to buy the spares, I'll have them (Scott too, I suspect).
Blonde Black Woman ( They Called It That Not Me)
That's not confirmed but I would think it would be doable. That's only 30-40 figures and with better shipping and no delays and less sidlines (no X-men or Hulk Classics) I think it could be possible
We'll know more next month I guess :)
Oh, and those rumored 12 and 13 Waves have shown up on a couple more etailers order lists...might be something to them:

Wooohooo!
Got a shipping notice from Amazon, all four variants are on their way :)
As with all things, I'm out of room to display stuff, so Apocalypse and Hawkeye are sitting in ziplock baggies right now.
I agree Brian, I might replace Series II Torch with the Torch on top there and the Sue and ditch the box set all together.
New Galactus pic!
http://afigures.com/g/?mode=view&album=Marvel%2FML9&pic=10.jpg&dispsize=800&start=0
I thought I saw two Venoms in one of those shots actually, the original one with the same base (on the right hand side), and then a second one that was on the left hand shelf, just to the left of the Spidey with the big white balls or egg-like contraptions. "House eggin' Spidey" if you will. Maybe I didn't see it correctly though, it looked like the same Venom with some sort of gun contraption strapped on.
Just curious if any of you know which figures are all contained in the "Best Of" cases that are currently shipping (or have shipped) to Wal-Mart. I think it is only at Wal-Mart anyways. I thought that Human Torch and Thing were both in that case, but wasn't sure. I've always wanted to pick up a Torch figure (my fave of the Fan 4), and have been a fan of Thing as well. I thought about waiting for the box set or movie figures, but I think I'd want a comic accurate (and in Torch's case, fully "flamed on") version as well. I might end up waiting yet, but was just curious if anyone had an idea of the case breakout of that wave. I thought I had seen Captain America, Thing, and Torch, although I passed at that time since I didn't really have the money for it. Anyways, long story short, anyone have any idea of the breakdown for that "Best Of" case or whatever it is called?
Wooohooo!
Got a shipping notice from Amazon, all four variants are on their way :)
GOt all of them on Friday! Talk about fast.
Not really sure I want a Blonde Widow...its up for grabs I guess. Same goes for Doombot...

There you go, he got them all (just think Scott's preoccupied for the next while, so I'm taking the liberty of answering for him)
Looks like Series 9 (http://www.toynewsi.com/index.php?catid=23&itemid=6038) has now hit in the Philippines. Shouldn't be too long now. There are some loose pics of the wave (and Galactus) at the above linky.
Also got my Black Widow figure in the box as well, though I'd seen it previously in stores. A nice figure but all the Marvel women are starting to look similar. I'm a little disturbed about the looseness in the hip joints, but Mikey and I can talk about that privately. :P
My wife never believed it either, but at least she accepts the GH stuff on that basis.
You should of see my wife's reaction when two of them showed up at my house, Brian. Each came in a seperate box, each of which was huge. I think her exact words were "Where the **** are all these boxes coming from?" Between these, Brent's package, Ben's package, Brent's side deal package, and various ebay and online store packages, it was quite a week at the Davidson household a couple of weeks ago, for me at least.
She's less keen on the ML side. It's not Star Wars, she says. I tell her next to SW, comic books and GIJoe were my childhood. And she's lucky GIJoe isn't in my plans in the near foreseeable future. It usually ends there, until the next character comes into the house.
Honestly my wife is pretty cool with my hobby. There are worse things I could be blowing money on.
There are worse things I could be blowing money on.
This is first appearance spiderman so it should be rather different from ASM298 spiderman (or whenever McFarlane started drawing him). Or am I interpreting first appearance to be origin spiderman incorrectly?
A couple pics have shown up online now, detailing the "Sentinel" and "Legendary Riders" series, or 10 and 11, however you like to call them. Some are just drawings at this point, and the pictures aren't the largest, but there's at least a clue to what we're expecting. I'm looking forward to the Sentinel Series, they look nice. Too bad they had to hit during all of this ROTS madness this year :).

I made a freak find yesterday. Found some ML 6 of all things, including brown Cable and the reissue of maskless Wolverine. I actually left a Deadpool behind.
The latest ToyFare has lots of Series 10 pics I guess. Plus word that there is an International Box set with Spidey, a new Lizard, a new Rhino and Vulture. I don't have my issue yet but I will soon

Without a doubt, one of my favorite weekends of the year :)
Well, our local Wal-Mart had restocked with some of ML8, of course after I already paid more on Amazon, but that's just how things work I guess. They had 3 Caps, 2 Iron Mans (Iron Men?), 2 Ice Mans, 1 Doc Ock, 1 Man Thing, and 1 Nick Fury that was there previously. I also managed to pick up a SMC Scorpion, which had been hanging there over the weekend, but I finally decided to pick it up.
The one problem I have with this series? These damned Galactus parts are going to make this series the death of me. If they start putting unique parts for Galactus in with the chase figures, I'm gonna lose it on Toy Biz.
I'll let Brian or Scott address which spidey is best, there are so many out there. ::) Venom I prefer the one from the Sinister Six box set. To answer you and Kevin at the same time, I think the Venom figure is identical in the boxed set as the regular release from last fall.
Check here for Carnage Kev
http://www.fwooshnet.com/pics/thumbnails.php?album=5
::)Typo smart ass, I meant Carnage. Spawn of Venom, whatever. It's a repaint, plain and simple. Less black and more distinct pattern. So it's a new figure, but it's not a new figure. Trust me, I wish it was new. Or newer.
I didn't like that Venom figure with the exposed face. Must be getting gentle in my old age.
Man, I won a green for Hulk $20 and then found one at Kmart the next day... :-\
She-Hulk, must make She-Hulk. Marvel Select convention exclusive coming, but they can do better than that for the rest of us.
Galactus is a bit of a Python-esque parody at the moment, but he's getting there. :)
I want the bullseye though, so don't need that part. Well, I need it, but I want the figure too ::)
On another note anyone find Hulk Buster Iron Man? I need it.
Kevin

You need Bullseye? We should talk. I have one I don't need (sans galactis parts).
On another note anyone find Hulk Buster Iron Man? I need it.
Kevin
I scored a Mysterio at Wal-Mart tonight. Thankfully, his dome is slightly smaller, so it doesn't look too bad now. Still no FF movie figures. :(

Well it looks like the hunt is on. I hope they hit the east coast soon.
Congrats on the Mysterio find Ben, might have to check our Wal-Marts again this week, since you saw it over in Iowa. How do you like the figure? Glad to hear the dome isn't too ginormous.
So I managed to complete my Galactus last night when I found Hulk and the left arm. The thing is, I really only want the left arm and not the Hulk (I try not to get multiple figures of the same character). Is anyone just collecting the figures they want and not worrying about having Galactus? If so, does anyone want the Hulk? I'd sell him for $5 or trade him for a basic SW figure. Let me know.
I finally bought a green Hulk last night. It was late, I went to WalMart, and there was a case of ML9 just sitting there. The kind lady with the mustache in the toy department was very obliging and opened it up for me. And you know what? I left the Bullseye. I just cannot care about that figure.I felt the same way after buying him. Bullseye was a must do but the variant was a bit lame

What are the variants for 10 again? Cyclops, Angel and Black Panther?
From what I remember of the Marvel Legends 10 the Cyclops and Archangel that are the regular figures are how they appeared first in X-Men #1, but the Varriants are how the appeared in X-Factor #1.
I hit up another KB today, and they got another case of Hulk Classics but this time Joe Fixit was there so i picked him up finally.
Dang, almost forgot. I need to pick up the Marvel Select She Hulk tomorrow in Philly! ;)
Dang, almost forgot. I need to pick up the Marvel Select She Hulk tomorrow in Philly! ;)
Whole lot of good those posts did me today. I just got back from Philly a little while ago. However, I'm thinking of going to Wizard World in Chicago and may be able to help up some of the She Hulk fans there.
Why is Nightcrawler playing footsie with Cyclops? :o
15 New Pegs of Fantastic Four figures this morning at Wally World...the pegs were full...Zero Invisible Women
I could not believe it >:(
I just scored my second IW at Target today, this time it was the phasing version. I feel bad for you guys- a figure this shortpacked and popular has to be an absolute bear to find.
We're also finally getting inundated with ML9. I found two more Bullseye variants lately, still can't get my hands on a green Hulk. Not that I'd buy it, I just want to see one.
ML variants are an area I dare not tread.
To be honest, I've been scared to pick up any Marvel Comics these days because I found them so addicting back in highschool. I spend enough $$ on SW, so so far I've managed to stay away from other lines.
The large figure builder concept is certainly cool. But I also feel somewhat put upon by that situation. I don't think I would've bought Dr. Strange if he didn't have part of Galactus in the blister with him.
I have the phasing version of the Invisible Woman would like to get the other 2.
I wish everyone was getting that case ratio. It would make finding Sue much easier.Would make sense, wouldn't it? Kids could go out, but a whole Fantastic Four and be done right there and then. Kill the secondary market. Nah, that would never fly. no buzz if the kids are all happy and collectors aren't screaming for a hard to find figure ::)
As much as I dislike the concept of chase figures, I know that it helps keep the interest going strong. Case in point. McFarlane saw a tremendous upsurge in the popularity of their Sports Picks line. Much of the interest that drove that line was the hunt for chase figures. Initially McFarlane would offer zero or one chase figures per case. As the line got hotter the number of chases in a 12 piece case went as high as four per case. But around the time that started to happen, interest started to wane in the line. Now McFarlane is going back to fewer chases.
I think it's seven parts. 2 arms, 2 legs, chest, torso, and head.
Latest issue of Toyfare is indicating 7 pieces for Sentinel, just to add to the confusion.
Oh, and I still need a Mysterio if anyone stumbles across one. :-\ And an Abomination if the two packs ever come to retail.
Oh, and I still need a Mysterio if anyone stumbles across one. :-\
I have an extra Mysterio if you want it, Brent. I can get those two 12" figures you asked me about too.
Wow, more than a couple of Dazzler requests. Now, was it because she was a cool character or is this because she was hot :P
Since when is Apocalypse as big as Galactus?
Iron Fist looks awesome, but i am not feeling Apocalypse as a build-a-figre. I would have prefered a new character we have not gotten yet.
All I can say is there better be a Kingpin in wave 13
QuoteAll I can say is there better be a Kingpin in wave 13
No doubt. I agree totally.
I really like the S6 Goblin and am very pleased with it. Having Black Cat and Electro in the box made it worthwhile though. Actually I think that's the Venom I decided to keep as well and it was the only Kraven I picked up (delaying interminably paid off for once). I do think the new Goblin looks cool though, but I doubt I'll worry too much about it.
All I can say is there better be a Kingpin in wave 13 >:(
But, uh, where is the Kingpin? >:(
I also hope they don't cheap out and try to repaint Sasquatch white in order to pass that figure off as the Wendigo.
Hmm, those would be a bit disappointing. Series 12 would substantially bite, imo. Series 13 there is better but why BlackHeart? And why Abomination? Isn't he supposed to be coming out in the two packs (are those still coming? I do need an abomination).
Saw remnants of the SMC Beetle Wave at TRU tonight
Seems like an odd figure to put out before the likes of Kingpin, Quicksilver, Psylocke, Havok, Kitty Pryde, etc.Ayup.
It looks like someone has posted the cover/ToyFare pics of X-23 at this link (http://members.fortunecity.com/mickfoley1/x23.htm), at least for now. If anyone is interested.
ToynewsI.com has some pics up of upcoming Legends variants (Logan and Wonderman), as well as the X-23 pic that has already been posted. You can check them out HERE (http://afigures.com/g/?mode=album&album=Marvel%2FMLX23&dispsize=800&start=0).
I got the chance to see a "Days Of Future Past" Wolverine from Marvel Select out at Wizard World in Chicago, and let me tell you...Aren't they changing the Select Scale, too? Making it 6" instead of 7"?
It's WAY better than the one that Toy Biz is offering in this Legendary Riders assortment. Plus it comes with an adult Kate Pryde. Save your money and don't buy the Marvel Legends version, get the Select.
I thought I remember reading somewhere starting with Thanos, the scale was changing and the Select would be for characters you wouldn't ever see in the Legends line (like Thanos and The Watcher)

The other thing I don't understand is the pegs and pegs of Spider-Man II figures I see at TRU. Especially with the Classics line still out there.
Venom. Again? Before Kingpin >:( >:( >:(
Series 12 is mostly a miss.
Manwolf I'll pick up. It was one of my favorite issues of Amazing Spiderman early on. I read the story hundreds of times. Sure hope it's accurate to the old version (I'm sure there's a new version, or are we seeing hype for the Spiderman 3 movie?).
I will get Manwolf, but why another venom?
I get why they're doing it, because it will sell to the kids, kids love venom cough*Kevin*cough.:P
I'm losing faith that ML and the Spidey line will make it past 2006
I just got my first Marvel Legends figure, Proffeser X.
I just got my first Marvel Legends figure, Proffeser X.
lol thats kinda late. :)
i also cant wait for the Sentinel line.
I have enough junk
Spiderman - Head and shoulders of Sentinel
Cyclops - arm, left
Black Panther - arm, right
Angel - leg, left
Omega Red - torso
Mr. Sinister - leg, right
Mystique - torso - duplicate part

Just wanted to bump that part back up so I could find it. ML10 showed up at our TRU's today. By the time I got there, all that was left was the Black Panther and Spiderman, so I grabbed both. Other retailers bumped their prices, so TRU is only a buck more now.
The Blue Beetle wave of Spidey stuff also showed up, but the Beetle was gone before I got there so I still haven't made a final decision on it. The spin-n-zip Spidey looked almost 2099-ish. Odd costume - interesting.
April 2006: SMC 17
Spider Hulk Spider-Man - 2 pcs
Spider Spinner Spider-Man - 4 pcs
Web Splasher Spider-Man - 3 pcs
Hydro-Man - 1 pc
Hob Goblin - 2 pcs
Scarlet witch is cancled from the asst due to the fact that we were not happy with the finished product. Were commited to make sure that these figures look there best so we will remake this chatacter some time in the future.
-Jesse
I picked up Mystique, Black Panther, Omega and Spidey today after saying I wouldn't...I figured why throw away good parts.
So, I still need Cyclops, Angel and Sinister. Its weird the others were still there...unless Target put out a half box or something
Ooh - Cyclops pics. So Brent, if you've now got a Cyclops does that mean the next one you find is mine ;)
That Sentinel looks awesome - it's too bad the only other figure from this wave I'm interested in is Spidey. Ah well, I've only got part of galactus, I may as well only have part of a sentinel.
Ooh - Cyclops pics. So Brent, if you've now got a Cyclops does that mean the next one you find is mine ;)
Found about five cases of ML10 at my local WM. It's their exclusive case pack:
3 Black Panther, 2 of everyone else in a fifteen figure case. I picked up Omega Red, Mystique, and Sinister, since they're the ones I had to have. I'll get Cyke and Angel next, and if Spider-Man and Panther didn't have essential Sentinel parts, I'd pass on them.
Sasquatch looks neat to me too, although I don't know a whole lot about the character/Alpha Flight.
BTW, saw the movie Doom in N. Dakota on the weekend and I'm pleased to have the Marvel Legends version
I've had no luck with series 10 either. Its sorta weird; I only saw Iceman from series 8 on the pegs, and no other figures from that wave. But with wave 9, I've seen everyone multiple times. BTW, I have a green hulk variant from the Galactus wave I am looking to trade (and maybe sell at cost if I can't get a trade), so PM me ASAP or I'll take it back to Wal-Mart.
That's a bit odd, to say the least with the two left legs. Sounds like you had the bad luck to find a factory placement error. I wonder if contacting toybiz would do any good?
ML 11 showed up here, seemingly yesterday. No chase figures and no Scarlet Witch :'( , Ultron or Taskmaster to be found. I picked up Logan :-X (well, I have all the rest so why not ::)) and a Wonderman which is a really well done figure.
Hulkbuster Ironman is huge and really heavy, were I an Ironman freak, I'd have picked it up.
Vengeance sucks and worse, his bones were purple. It can't be a variant as I saw no less than three of them, but it seems like they changed the color from bone to purple ??? I didn't think I wanted it and I was right.
Don't need another Thing, that's for sure.
Next wave of FF movie figures are about as well, this wave with skateboarding human torch ::), trenchcoat Thing (prefer ML thanks) and a Doom with face switcheroo. Invisible woman remains pretty easy to find up here. Mmm, Jessica Alba goodness.
Wow, I didn't realize they were out either.
I wonder, is white Sasquatch supposed to be Wendigo?
I wonder, is white Sasquatch supposed to be Wendigo?
I'll chime in for the torso if you don't mind. No hurry for it though, next time we swing a deal.
Oh. Where's Kingpin?
Havok? Polaris? Wolfsbane? Mutliple Man? Strong Guy? Quicksilver? Forge? Wild Child?
I try to keep up with ML although I don't have space but for my few most favorites - but uh, can anyone tell me why X-Factor (91-98) has gotten the shaft? I realize I may be one of only a few hundred or so people that liked them, but uh...
Havok? Polaris? Wolfsbane? Mutliple Man? Strong Guy? Quicksilver? Forge? Wild Child?
but what do I do with a second Galactus?
Wow, I didn't realize they were out either.
Apparently the Best of, 10 and 11 all shipped simultaneously from the Canadian distributor. I've yet to see any of the best of wave but there's lots of 10 about. 11 just arrived yesterday and I missed a goodly part of it.
Who is this kingpin you speak of? ::)
Who is this kingpin you speak of? ::)
A character of such low importance that nobody in their right mind would want him.
I'm hoping he's part of the Famous Battle choices.

Dude, since when are kids the ones buying these? The spidey figures that are packed with the villains, yes. Fat white dudes, no.
Still, it ain't fun having web blaster spiderman fight spin 'n kick spiderman, sometimes you need a baddy, even if he is fat and white. Besides, I believe some kids can actually read the comics, not just play video games :P
I am not believing anything til its confirmed, but there are some good figures in those mentioned.
Man oh man do I want this to be true because it that pretty much nails a lot of my remaining wishes if its true (as long as Scarlet Witch gets released as well)

I went to pick up chicken and shampoo.

Oh and the Galactus series is officially, horribly overproduced. I've seen and left three Bullseye variants on the pegs as well as two green Hulks.
does Vegeance have a variant? i thought only Logan and Wonderman and the super rare Scarlet Witch :-X
does Vegeance have a variant? i thought only Logan and Wonderman and the super rare Scarlet Witch :-X
I'm not sure it does. I'm not doubting Jesse, but I think there was a production change that's making people think there is a variant. On the package the bones appear, well, bone color. But on the production figure they appear purple. Weird.
BTW, which spidey is that?

Actually, you're right Brent, that's exactly what I found. Strange that they would have changed the bone paint colour.
Oh well, he'll look cool standing next to GR. :)
Thanks Mikey. I'd thought it might be, but wasn't sure. It looks better then without the webbing, that much is certain.
It looks like the first appearance one without the armpit webbing.
Toxin
My recollection is that Bishop was about the size of Cable. Both large men, but not nearly so big as the Hulk. I think some of those figures are grossly out of scale, but what can you do. I don't recall Apocalypse being as large as a Sentinel either though.
Suggestion is that Legendsactionfigures.com will have wave 12 soon. I'm not sure of the pricing (not reasonable for you folks, but maybe to me) but I may opt to get these quick, as I don't expect them at retail before Christmas. Post Christmas is just too bleak for toys around here, so we may miss the wave. Sort of happened last year.
The newest version, while larger is a little too deformed for my tastes. I know he can get seriously large and mis-shapen in the comic and his tongue hanging out is fairly typical, but it just doesn't do it for me.
According to a news blurb at TheGD.com (http://www.thegd.com/), it is rumored that there will be a BAF of Onslaught for Marvel Legends 13. Grain of salt and all that, but that's the latest on the rumored pack in for that wave (since the "henchmen" have apparently been dropped).
Wal-mart Exclusive ML wave (unknown BAF)
- Kitty Pryde
- AoA wolverine
- AoA sabretooth
- Juggernaut
- Captain Britain
- Thor
- Antman (Variant)
- Sentry (Variant)
- Warbird/Ms. Marvel
- Havok
i finally saw ML 11 on the pegs today..but one thing that striked me..which one is the Logan variant? the Green or Blue Jeans??? also the Vegence looks different from the package pic on the back.

Blue Jeans is the variant plus his bike is shinier, he has a younger face, white t-shirt, and comes with a cowboy hat.
Has anybody found Ben Grimm in spacesuit from the Fantastic Four movie line? That's the last figure I want from the line, and I can't find it anywhere.

Well, I guess everybody and their brother will be after Storm, and will leave the rest to rot.
I guess these are showing up at retail already, specifically the west coast.
I was really wanting to buy Omega Red, tonight... but I've been trying to save up cash, so chose not to.
Kind of regretting it.
:-[
Left Hulkbuster IM and Thing, which is going to pegwarm worst than Prof. X and Dr. Strange. He is one shitastic figure.
My local Wally has like 8 Things on the pegs (not too smart a move to have 1st App Thing and all of the dang FF Things on the pegs at the same time)
That dang Scarlet Witch continues to elude me. I have three on order at Amazon but I don't really expect to actually receive them. You're welcome to one if I get them Mikey.
Also pics of the first two Marvel Masterworks (http://www.action-figure.com/events/main.php?g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_itemId=8587) sets, featuring the F4 vs. Mole Man and Spidey vs. Green Goblin.
The Monsters set looks pretty good, but i am not feeling the Young Avengers at all. i have no idea who they are.
Still can't find ML 12 variants or any FF CLassics. :-[
There's quite a few X-figures missing yet - classic X-men, Uncanny X-men or X-Factor figures I'd like to see yet (sorry Scott). I'd also have liked a box set with Spiderman supporting characters - Mary Jane, Gwen Stacy, Robbie Robertson, JJJ, Aunt May and a regular, non-transformable Peter - but that won't happen I don't think. I sure don't see it happening with Hasbro at the helm, given they're it's for the kids mantra And that Kingpin from the two pack better be well done. I know I'll buy it regardless but still. One thing ToyBiz seemed ok at, even though it was annoying, was re-releasing figures and doing them better the second time around - Green Goblin would be a prime example. I understand the different artist takes on a character, but these are classics aren't they?
I'll be ok when it ends. The scale is large (as I've said before I'd have preferred the 3 3/4" line) now and space consuming. A smaller line similar to the Saga line with similar packaging and articulation plus pricing could prove tempting, largely because I could easily fit them in somewhere. But I will try to resist. They have done justice to a large number of figures/characters I really enjoy.
I got a shipping notice from Amazon that my Variant Iron Fist shipped yesterday!
Here's some shots of Wave 13 and 14, looks like Iron Man is coming afterall!

Is anyone seeing those Spiderman Classic two packs with the Abomination or Absorbing Man? I managed to get Absorbing Man the first time around, but not the other. Any thoughts on which of the versions, Spiderman Classics or ML that is better for Abomination?
Very cool indeed, love that Lockheed is included. The only thing, it seems that you need 10 figures to build Giant Man which means there may be 1 more unpictured figure in the assortment.

Lots of good stuff shown. I'm not too keen on buying figs I already have or don't want to get things I do want (WM Thor and AoA figs, Cap for Baron von Strucker, Hulk for Leader, etc.), but I can deal with it and will try to get rid of them or find people who just want the figures and not necessarily the BAF parts.
You know, looking at all the different lines at Toy Fair from Marvel/Toy Biz, they are going to have a heck of an aisle presence if these are all at retail. Marvel Legends, X-Men, Spidey Classics, F4 Classics/Animated, Marvel Legends Showdown, Icons, Figure Factory, MegaMorphs, and Masterworks.
I see, like Carnage before him, he appears to be a lame rip off of an overused idea
While I'll pay that for certain things, I really can't justify that for as much as I used toAmen.

Does anyone here really think Hasbro is going to continue Marvel Legends? Just on a size of the figures alone I can't see them making them
Plus add in the fact that that they paid for this license, if they do continue Legends in a pseudo form, look for $10-$12 figures. While I'll pay that for certain things, I really can't justify that for as much as I used to
Being this is the only other line I am currently actively collecting, I hope it does sort of die and then I'll focus on will be 3-3/4" Never before made SW figures and supreme resculpts :)

I think Hasbro will continue the line. I mean, if they were going to just axe it, why did they buy it in the first place?
I guess, overall, even though I wish it was different...kids just aren't interested in comics anymore, unless it is in movie or toon form. Its too bad, because I think many of us grew up reading comics, but its more of a video game/electronics generation now.
Heck, I don't think I even had a TV in my room growing up until 6th or 7th grade, and even then it was an old "junker" that was used for Nintendo only basically.Either I'm old or came from a poor family. LOL but I never had a tv in my room. Ever.
Now I have cousins/nephews/friends' kids who have them at 4 years old or so - sometimes with Xbox/PS2 level gaming systems, DVD players, or even cable/satellite. Crazy.
I agree that games are dominant, we've all said it often, but part of the reason is the comics drove away the kids market. I'm sure Scott can echo the sentiment, but when I started collecting comics back in around 1984 the cover price was just under a dollar for the more common titles like Detective Comics or Amazing Spiderman. I collected comics for about 8 years, buying them because I liked reading them. As the secondary market improved for them, comic publishers decided they wanted a portion of that market so out came the variant covers, holofoil covers, pack in cards (sound familiar?). At the same time prices started to climb and for those variations were often around $5 by the time I stopped collecting.
My buddy told me (after I posted of course) that when the cases started to hit Canada and reach the dealers, all of them had purple so as he put it "people in the know consider the black the variant."
Quick question: which X-23 is the variant, black or purple?
Do you guys know if there's anyway to seperate the torso and upperbody from Apocalypse?
My buddy told me (after I posted of course) that when the cases started to hit Canada and reach the dealers, all of them had purple so as he put it "people in the know consider the black the variant."
Tough call, the case I saw had one of each, black and purple. Matters not really, it's a crappy figure. I will say the smaller head on the black looks better.
I think most people are looking at it with a McFarlane mentality - the picture of the regular figure shows black, not purple. But the picture also shows the variants of Bishop, Wolvie and Iron Fist. It shows nothing for X-23 at all. My guess is it's a running change.
Adding by edit: saw a bunch today at TRU, nada but black X-23 to be found.
I left behind the Scarlet Witch
I thought that all the variants were supposed to have the extra Giant Man piece, but that's just what I heard. I think that would make more sense than having it with just a single figure.
Can anyone confirm this? I was under the impression that it was just the variant wolverine that had the 10th piece.
Either way, I probably won't be able to afford to get 10 figs anyway. Will try to get my hands on Kitty Pryde though.
Variant Sentry (http://cgi.ebay.com/SENTRY-Variant-Marvel-Legends-Giant-Man-%20Series_W0QQitemZ6053671411QQcategoryZ348QQtcZphotoQQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
From what I remember reading in Toyfare (103 I think) they said that the Wolverine & Sentry with the different heads are NOT variants. They are considered to be an individual figure for the set. That every figure will come 1 to a case and you will have to buy the whole case in order to put the whole Giant Man together.
(As we all know the Wolvie variant is going to be a beotwch to find.
(As we all know the Wolvie variant is going to be a beotwch to find.
I have found all the X-Men figures that I am looking for other than I need one more of the Burnt Wolverines.

What are you doing with the Giantman pieces from AoA Sabretooth and the two AoA Wolverines? If you want to get rid of them, I'd be interested in them. Let me know.
Michael Crawford reviews the WM wave. (http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_042806a.htm)
He says the variant Sentry comes with the same piece that the regular Sentry does, and you'll need the Wolvie variant to complete the Giant Man.
Kang and Dragonman or something to that effect and yes, that's wave 2.
Surprised distribution is that lousy, I was hoping for a cheap Skrull.
Found two full sets (one for the bug) and left two full sets at one of the local Wally Worlds of the Giant Man figures
I also found a Hobgoblin so overall it was a good ML day. Still want three of the 2 packs (Cap-Skull, Daredevil-Kingpin, Cap-Strucker) and that is about it
I really only want Loki, Pyro and Abomination from 13. 14 is sort of hit and miss as well but I'll take all of 15 just to get MODOK :-*
Wouldn't it make more sense for the Sentinel, Apocalypse & MOJO series to be an ALL X-Men series, and make GIANT MAN to be an ALL Avengers series, and make the Galactus Series a mix of FF and Avengers.
I like the Bring on the Bad Guys line, but not to build an Onslaught. Onlaught would be cool line to have done a Franklin Richards, a possesed Professor X, and other figures that had something to do with the story.
There are probably others I might pick up too, but those are a few I wouldn't mind seeing. Of course, there are always wish lists for the rest of Spidey's universe (Mary Jane, Aunt May, J.J. Jameson) - but those are unlikely, and if so, we'll leave those for SMC.
Marvel does seem to be running low on characters for the Marvel Legends line. These might be some good choices:
AVENGERS
Hercules
Starfox
Yellowjacket
old school gold Iron Man
Scarlet Witch
She Hulk (w/ FF variant)
X-MEN/X-Factor
Thunderbird
Sunfire
Banshee
Storm - original costume
Beast - X-Factor minus blue fur
Cyclops - X-Factor
Jean Grey - X-Factor
Havok
"Days Of Future Past" gift pack
OTHERS
Quicksilver
VILLAINS
Thanos
Modok
Crimson Dynamo
Brood
Sebastion Shaw
Nimrod
White Queen
I have to agree about Prof. X, i really wish we could have go tth eover chair instead of the one we got. I woul dhave been happ if they did a mailaway just for the chair.
I love reading those guys comments about Hasbro. While the SW line has not been perfect and there is always room for improvement, the amount of product that sells in the line is probably 2 to 3 times the amount that sells in the Legends line. Add on top of that the size of the figures and the less articulation, i'd guess SW would make tons and tons more money than Legends
However, the thing that hurts SW is the License Fee that Hasbro signed...that totally screws the bottom line
Those guys think Legends is the end all be all in the toy aisle, but I'd bet that sales for other toy lines are even higher (Trasnformers, Power Rangers, TMNT etc)
The other big challenge is that Hasbro is taking over a mature line that doesn't have a whole lot left to do to interest collectors. They'll almost have to cut some articulation out to try and reduce the unit costs and they'll need to pump out the Main Characters to keep sell through high with the kiddies (see Vader, Darth) Its almost a no win in my opinion...they are banking on the movies being huge but that in itself is risky (see Spider Man 2, FF and in some stores Hulk) figures still on the pegs

My other point and I forgot to mention...Hasbro has now had to pay license fee for Marvel as well. There is no way they can continue to charge the same for Legends as what Toybiz was doing. I'd expect something in the $10-$12 range
Let me check my local K-Mart for ya. They've had all the figures from ML9 sitting around for a year, and I just saw a bunch of Deathloks there two weeks ago.
However, I won't be able to get there until Saturday, so if you're willing to wait, just LMK.
I'm wondering where would I post my missing lest for Marvel legends? I got into these really late so I'm looking to catch up and would love the help.

Any help would be great. After I series 12 I've been hunting for these. And so far bought alot but I can't seem to find many more.
Ahhh! Thank you Scott! So is it safe to surmise that a duplicate part that comes with both Sentry and the Sentry variant? But I still need Thor to complete it. Drat!
Scott, how does the 2-pack Hulk compare to the other Hulks? He looks a lot bigger than the rest.
Just looking at the stores around here, Legends have pretty much dried up. Wal-Mart doesn't have a single figure on the pegs, aside from the YA/Monsters box sets and a crapload of Hulk/Leader Face Off packs. Target has a single Logan from the Riders series that has been there for months, and actually only has one pegs for Legends now and two for the X-Men line. Last time I visited TRU they just had a couple of figures from the Riders series. Things are pretty picked over out there.
Greetings,
I've contacted you on numerous occasions in the past regarding pre-orders and why they haven't been followed through on when stock arrives. Standard, lame excuses have been given, but I thought I'd give another opportunity.
I placed an order on January 29, 2006 and the Amazon.com order number is xxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx. I noted those items were listed as "in stock" and available for online ordering on May 26, 2006. It is my understanding that individuals that have placed orders on that date are now receiving shipping notices for items ordered that date, yet my order, placed nearly four months earlier remains as unshipped.
I can only presume that the pre-order option at Amazon.com is a useless waste of time. I find it frustrating to say the least given this is not the first time that you have been unable to actually deliver a service you are offering. Is there any point in actually making a pre-order with you folks or is it just some sort of in-joke at Amazon so you can laugh at customers down the road?
I anxiously await yet another "standard" answer indicating you cannot follow through with a service. I suspect it's time to take my business elsewhere and make the same recommendation to anyone else I speak to.
I really, really like the Pyro figure and wish we could have gotten an Avalanche figure to go with it before TB gets done.
Thank you for writing to us at Amazon.com.
First, please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience that
may have caused to you for the delay in delivering your order.
I've checked into your order and see that the shipping instruction
to "group my items into as few shipments as possible" was selected
during the order process. This option can extend the estimated ship
date for your order beyond the individual item availability
estimates which are listed on our web site.
I have made a one-time exception with your order, and have changed
your shipping option to "ship items as they become available" and
the ship method to "Next Day Domestic" at no additional charge. Also
waived off the complete shipping charges on this order to compensate
for the inconvenience caused.
Currently, we are waiting to ship your items until we
receive "Marvel Legends Bring On The Bad Guys 6" Action Figure:
Unmasked Green Goblin."
This item is not available. This item typically takes longer to
obtain from our suppliers than the other items in your order.
The items in your order are now estimated to be delivered by June 6,
2006. Whenever items are shipped, we will send you an e-mail message
to confirm the date, contents, and method of your shipment.
We have several fulfillment centers across the United States,
meaning the items in your order may be stocked at different
locations. Whenever you place an order, we display an estimated
shipping date based on inventory's proximity to your delivery
address, as well as how quickly we can obtain and assemble your
shipment. This estimate takes into account the fact that available
items may be held for shipment until we have assembled the rest of
your order.
I apologize for any misunderstanding. Please contact us again by
visiting http://www.amazon.com/contact-us if you do not receive a
shipment confirmation by June 2, 2006.
Not rare at all Brian. He sat on the pegs for a considerable period of time both up here and in Fargo to the south. If there's demand for him, I expect it's because a lot of current ML collectors missed the first 5-6 series and are trying to back fill their collections.
I'd suggest looking around the boards and trying to find a loose version from someone somewhere. It's bound to be way cheaper than the MOC stuff that goes on ebay
As for the First Appearance stuff, I'm not overly enamored of those versions myself. I do like the Spidey, but otherwise it's neither here nor there. I'm not dying to see the first appearance of many characters simply because they evolved into better drawn versions down the road.
I'll confess to a little befuddlement with the Face Offs Series 2 - 1st Appearance Wolverine vs Sabertooth version. Is this supposed to be the 1st appearance of these two characters together? If it is, it's hardly a first appearance for Wolverine, he'd been through half a dozen costumes by then. If Wolvie is in his first duds, it makes no sense, so obviously they're taking some creative license with the notion of first appearances anyway.
Hydro-man - saw only one, but it sucked royally. Left him on the pegs. Unimpressive figure with an odd look on his face. Pass.
Anyways, just curious how tough the Surfer was to find, or if there is anywhere online where he could still be picked up. Maybe ebay will be the best option.
As a side question, did anyone pick up the Abomination from the Hulk Classics series? I'm curious how they compare? Are they identical or do they vary in sculpt (doubtful) or paint apps? I must say I'm quite pleased I opted to go for Absorbing Man at the time since Abomination turned out to be re-released.
It was a really bright yellow and blue, not the tan uni.

The HC Abomination is horribly underscaled. I'm glad I held out and waited for the vastily superior wave 13 Abomination.
Series 14 up at toysrus.com (http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=marvel%20legends&origkw=marvel%20legends&f=Taxonomy/TRUS/2254197)
Picked up Abomination today at Target putting to be Series 13
I keep passing on She-hulk because I don't like the sculpt. And while she is She-Hulk, she still seems to disproportionate to the other female characters.
Thanos I have to snag yet. I did grab the Watcher though. Otherwise I have a hard time with them because of differences in scale.

Take a walk back to TNI and look at the Toybiz section for MArvel Legends. It seems like they plan to release a WHOLE LOT more before Hasbro takes over. Alot of stuff never mentioned before.
and the best part X-BABIES COMING SOON!!!
They mention rumors that the comics will be going away from ML starting with the Hasbro waves,Read: cost saving measure, nothing more. The comics are going because Hasbro can't deliver the same quality of product that ToyBiz did at the same price point. The easiest way to cut costs is to offload that comic.
Heroes" line (of Hasbro) might be switching to 5" scale after the first wave or two, and the figures might be available direct from Hasbro online. With the same readily available supply as Scorch ::) I'm fairly certain I'll be able to go pick up Thor V4.2 online at any point, for more than I can snag the pegwarming retail version and at a price $2-3 higher than regular retail, but why would I want to?
Blob is an eight figure BAF? Why?
Rhetorical question, I know why. It just sucks that I have to buy 4 figs I don't want (enough with the Thors and Wolverines already and movie figs in ML waves suck - see movie Daredevil, Punisher and to a lesser extent, Blade) just to get the fat bastard.
A local clearance store had the FF box set available for $19.99. A pretty good price and I even saw the variant box with clear Sue but didn't opt into buying. Don't need yet another Thing or Human Torch.
(and 5" scale I believe),

Damn I really want the variant set. If they still have it, interested in picking it up for me

Please tell me you don't want this shipped in the box. ;)
Hokay, I'll start looking for a box that will accomodate this. Unless you're ok with fabricated boxes and bubble wrap to protect. I make a mean custom box. Looks like crap, protects great.
I just want the Bobby Drake figure. I hope i find one. Maybe Avalanche is a come across one, but i am not going crazy for it.
I didn't have the ML version with me, but this version seemed smaller and more cartoony.
Even looking at the top 50, there is probably only 5-6 more I'd buy. To me the line is really almost complete with the first two Hasbro Waves and Toy Biz Wave 15. They really did a lot of cool stuff this last year and nailed a lot of home runs.
It looks like Kang and Dragon Man are currently in stock at TRU.com, for $8.99 each. Decent deal for anyone who is interested, since they are so tough to find. Our stores don't even carry the Fantastic Four line, aside from the one Mr. Fantastic on clearance at TRU :).
I didn't have the ML version with me, but this version seemed smaller and more cartoony.
I thought this Colossus was just a rehash of the previous ML one, just slightly modified (new shoulder pads for example). I don't have both to compare (or even seen the new one), but the new one being smaller would surprise me.
I dunno, maybe I'm just insane.
Still no Mojo wave in MN that I have heard of.
Still no Mojo wave in MN that I have heard of.
Well, they are here now... I saw about 67% of the wave at Target this AM. ;)
It looks like the latest ToyFare had images of ML 15 (and its variants). Not necessarily anything new, but if you are interested someone has posted scans in this thread (http://www.superherohype.com/forums/showthread.php?t=250053).
Now I just need to find a cheap Kraven somewhere, and I think I'll be pretty much caught up with Spidey's villains :).

Sweet. Thanks kindly. But you made no mention of the Psylocke variant :P (kidding). I await the PM.
Changing topics slightly, does a Psylocke variant even exist, outside of toyfare pictures? I checked ebay and sure, some are being sold, but they are pre-sales with no pictures. Same for already sold items, doesn't seem to exist. I can find the Zemo and Falcon variants for sale, but not the others. Curious.
Mikey,
I can probably lift off the spares you get in your box if you want. You didn't mention the wasp variations so if you're disinclined, I'd take those. I guess one of each, so I can BAF ::) if you have them to spare. If not, no worries. I might try and track down a case on my own. Where'd you order from?
Case was
2 Beta ray Bill
1 yellow Wasp
1 red Wasp
1 Mar-V
1 Genis
1 black Moon Knight
1 grey Moon Knight
1 Destroyer
1 Thorbuster
1 Julia Carpenter
1 Jessica Drew
All even, except for the extra Bill and the missing blue Wasp
Did I say yet Canada sucks? Just burns my arse that I can't even have patience and go look for these damn things. You have to know as soon as I acquire all the figures I want through help and ebay, they'll show up locally ::) Ah well, maybe I'll find them in Hawaii.
Makes sense to just flip them around like that. It would make the two Wasp variants less common than the other chase figures though. Might not be an unreasonable thing to do, given female characters often don't sell as well.
Won't be happening since Canada is not supposed to recieve ML 14, 15, X-Men 3, the latest Spider-Man waves, etc. Some canadian collectors on other sites I go to are complaining that ToyBiz is "abandoning their non-US customers since they don't care now that the lisence is changing hands". I see it as a logical step if you look at how far behind Canadian stores can be at times (last wave I saw at WalMart was ML 11, Zellers I have yet to see ML13, TRU is caught up to the Giantman and 13 waves and the Young Avengers/Monsters box sets)
In other, cheery news.... >:(

The reason being they wouldn't be able to deliver the product to the Canadian distributor until about mid-December and supposedly all ToyBiz (pre-Marvel) stock must be moved out of the distributors possession before January 1st. A two week window just isn't enough, especially when you consider delivery would essentially be post-Christmas. This is a little silly when you consider I saw waves of X3 back in August and I think ML14 has been floating around since September. Why the delay from shipping between September to December is a little baffling. Three months lag time? Yeah, sure.
This also includes delivery of product to Canadian online retailers as well as box outlets so I can't even go online or expect it at local comic shops. >:(
I just bought the last three pieces I needed for Mojo on Saturday, and I still haven't found 13 again. I still need Loki, Abomination, and Blackheart from that series.
Is the Kitty Pryde figure really hard to get at this point? I'm only collecting loose anyways, and I don't really care about variants.
Is it worth it to buy the Rogue figure from the X-Men gift set, or should I wait for a better version?
Is there a Jean Grey figure yet (aside from the Phoenix)?
Where can I find some good info and pics of these figures? Is there a Jedi Defender for Marvel Legends?
Does anyone have a link to the picture of the Psylocke variant?
And why doesn't the Psylocke figure have her psychic blades???
Thanks! I guess my wallet is ****** now. :-[
Is it me or are people going insane on the Modok wave variants? I know I want them very much but am not dropping 35.00 - 50.00 each on them. :o

People are impatient. This wave looks to be hitting in greater numbers now (although I've not seen any hint of them yet). If I see any variants, I'll grab them and if I happen to luck out and get a variant case from BBTS, all the better. Maybe I can use them to trade for a Dragon Man and Kang.
Packaged pics of Hasbro Legends here. (http://i.toynewsi.com/g/index.php?mode=album&album=Hasbro%2FMarvel_Legends%2FSeries_1%2F&dispsize=600&start=0)
Oh yeah. I want a Moleman.
I'm actually interested in building a Sentinel figure, so I can take that arm off your hands. Is there a good place to acquire the other parts? Should I try fwooshnet?
I had some decent luck with SMC this weekend. I picked up the "House of M" Spider-Man at WM. It now has a "light up eyes" feature, with red eyes. I don't remember that happening ;). Also, I was able to pick up Electro and Toxin at our local TRU - so I think I'm caught up (or I guess, finished up) with Spider-Man Classics now. Now we wait and see what the "Origins" line brings beyond the first couple repaint waves. Still no sign of ML 15 in town, but I did see some of 14 at both TRU and Target.
Oh yeah, well my Electro doesn't have a lame action feature (ok, just justifying my purchase of the box set )
I have Cap and he is one awesome toy...one of my favorites of the year
Looking at that list again, if there is no BAF or if it doesnt interest me, I may skip that entire wave. I really only see myself buying Marvel Girl, but even that is a stretch.
I would just like a Sentinel BAF sold on its own. I'd get a couple of them.
BBTS got 14, 15, and the Face Off Series 2 packs in.
Our local WM has four pegs packed full of that Sentinel wave right now, and nothing else. Well, aside from the Face Off packs, there are quite a few of those as well. Which in a way is surprising, because they are very nice figures and a pretty good value.
Adding credence to my Psylocke variant doesn't exist theory (btw, thank you all for not outright stating I'm a loon) I was just looking at the backing card for the Iron Man figure and noted that the variants for Falcon, Iron Man and Zemo are all represented in the usual fashion - a small circle. Neither Luke Cage nor Psylocke have these circles. Has anyone seen the Luke Cage variant in other than Toyfare or other promotional representations?? And if those variants exist, why didn't Longshot get a variant, considering everyone else in the series did?
crazily yours....
I don't remember reading anything on this, but I thought I would share...
I was over at Wikipedia just doing some reading and found that they had a page for Marvel Legends. If you go to their Site (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Legends#Wave_3) you can see a list of the stuff for the Hasbro Series 3.
Astonishing X-Men Cyclops
Danger
Ord
First Apperance Storm
Cosmic Marvel Girl (Rachel)
X3 Colossus
X3 Angel
Here is what they say about the list on the site...
"Hasbro has not yet indicated which other figures will be in wave 3, but a list of characters confirmed to be in either wave 1, 2, or 3 was shown on message boards. After series' 1 and 2 were confirmed, these characters were left."
--------------------
Personally I had no intention of getting any of the X3 figures, but they are making it harder and harder not to.
Well good luck then
BTW, anyone elseuse the Pile of Loot feature over there? It is wonderful. Instead of getting 2-3 things a month I get one big package every 6 months or so which lessens the grief w/ the Mrs
I think right now I have FF Wave 2, ML 15, a bunch of Galactic Heroes for my boys. Then if you don't want the stuff any more or find it retail, you can cancel and get store credit. Its probably the best shipping feature I've ever seen at a retailer and mucho kudos to them for coming up with it. I think after some of my Final 22 orders come in, I'll finally ship my loot
Very much liking Wolverine VS Sabertooth.
just for the hell of it I took a UPC code from a Face Off set and scanned it at Target. It came up in the system (087 06 1643). Minnesota didn't have any and neither did LA, but it is entirely possible that Target could carry these toys.I never saw the first series at Target, so I doubt they would atrat with the second series. I also had anemployee check with their hand scanner and it reads active, not on planogram and has no further info on it.
Personally I wouldn't bet on it.
I found two of the three variants I needed at a TRU today. Now I just need a Destroyer, which unfortunately seems to be the one everyone wants.
But riddle me this everyone...Has anyone come up with the Face Off 2 Iron Man/Mandarin variant set yet? The reason I ask is that some people I know were speculating that the variant set was actually James Rhodes in War Machine armor and not Stark in some other Iron Man armor.
Also, as a side note, our local TRU has the "Superhero Squadron" Galactic-Heroesque figures. I just happened to spot them as we were leaving the store, just hanging on a small wire rack near the video games actually. They had the first series there, and as a fan of the GH line, I had to pick up one (Cap/Hawkeye). I thought about getting them all, but haven't decided whether I want to collect this whole line or not. But, they are out there if anyone is interested.
Hasbro Marvel Legends have been found in the stores. Someone over at TNI has pics up.
I found a Demogoblin last night.
Picked up series 1 and 2 of the 2-packs for the Marvel Superhero Squad. I was surprised to find some of the figures had more articulation than there Star Wars counterparts. These should do well with kids so hopefully more are scheduled after series 4. Im pretty disappointed that they chose to use the movie versions for the Spidey wave.
Series 1
Wolverine & Sabretooth
Iron Man & Hawkeye
Cyclops & Magneto
Angel & Colussus
Series 2
Daredevil & Elektra
Hulk & Wasp
Ghost Rider & Punisher
Iron Man & Thor
Series 3
Mr Fantastic & Skrull
Thing & Submariner
Torch & Silver Surfer
Invisible Woman & Dr. Doom
Series 4
Spidey & Green Goblin
Spidey Unmasked & New Goblin
Black Spidey & Sandman
Spidey & Venom

I have been looking, but haven't seen them anywhere. Where is everyone finding them?
Only ones I'm picking up are Planet Hulk and Hercules.
Brian, you want to get rid of that X3 Beast Annihilus piece, just let me know.
I've seen a bunch of the Spiderman Origins figures so far. Uck! The paint jobs are not good. They're way too glossy.
Picked up Hercules today. I thought Planet Hulk has a silver left arm. ???
I saw them put out a case yesterday and the 2 Hulks both had green arms. I didn't know there was an IM variant so I didn't look :-[
Haven't seen them yet, so I can't comment Brian. Ask again in March ;)
Scott, third picture, behind Kang, beside Electro, in front of Lizard. Is that Absorbing Man and if it is, what version?
Oh, is anyone seeing the Spiderman from the Sentinel series around?
Scott, third picture, behind Kang, beside Electro, in front of Lizard. Is that Absorbing Man and if it is, what version?
I'm still pining for the box set, online retailer exclusive Spiderman set that includes:
super articulated Spiderman
classic comic version Mary Jane Watson
classic comic version J. Jonah Jameson
classic comic version Robbie Robertson
classic comic version May Parker
classic comic version Betty Brant
If anyone is interested, HasbroToyShop has both the Iron Spidey and Spidey 2099 figures (http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/ProductsByBrand.htm?BR=805&PG=3) (as well as other Origins figures) in stock for $7.99 each.
BTW, the conspiracy theorist in me says there is not nor will there be a variant of Psylocke. I still cannot find anything on ebay outside of some pictureless "promise" auctions. I'm wondering if the same can be said of the blue Wasp figure. Same deal, no real auctions, though one guy is selling the scanning code for the case it supposedly comes in ::)

Well.......
I guess I'm not surprised. It shouldn't be too hard of a custom either but I feel for those folks that bought one off ebay on the promise that it existed. Weird sort of end to the ToyBiz side of things.
Does the no more ToyBiz bit mean they're done shipping now?
Why is Banshee's head so fat? Based on this picture, the only figures that look horrid are the two figures I most wanted from this series: Banshee and Emma Frost. I'd much prefer the Select version of Frost now, but rots 'o ruck finding her anywhere. Damn fanboys :-X
From that picture Planet Hulk, Hercules, Beast and IM don't look so horrible. Annhilus is down right tiny for a BAF though.
If Blob is in that size range (6-7") I'd be ok with it, he doesn't have to really be that huge to fit my recollections of the character. I'd like him to be in the size range of Juggernaut, but much fatter obviously.
It would be nice if they did a Juggernaught piece that stood taller than the rest of the figures. He is suppose to be bigger than them (rought same height as Sasquatch/Wendigo) and they didn't make him taller.
Rumored series 3 lineup has been posted on the TNI and Fwoosh forums (http://www.fwooshnet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35553&sid=0459b4b0b203fc44214d970dbcaef7a9), grain of salt and all that though:
Bucky
Captain America
Marvel Girl
Black Knight
Hydra Soldier
X3 Colossus
Cyclops (Astonishing)
Danger
Who knows if this is accurate or not. Some of the X-stuff was rumored before, so we'll see. Just thought I'd post as food for thought.
And I probably buy everything in that wave except Colossus
I'd say they are doing based on raw material costs

Wouldn't it just be easier to bump the cost of the toys by $1 or so? I appreciate no one likes price increases but really, collectors will adapt. Yes, you'd lose some to a price point increase but I'm guessing you'd lose less that way than by altering the scale.
Just for the sake of reference (and for a change I'm not complaining), Marvel Legends have always retailed for $12.9x CAD up here. After our taxes they're near $15 a pop. Some retailers sell them at $14.95 more recently so the market will bear the increased cost, at least once collectors get used to it. My recollection is you guys pay in the range of $6.95 to 9.95 for these things (plus respective taxes), would bumping it to $10.95 really affect you that much? My impression is you still get a fair bit more out of this line (plastic-wise) than say Star Wars which is pushing the $7-8 range now down there so couldn't the increase be reasonably justified?
I'd also question the need considering there's been a step down in size with the BAFs (I know, I'm comparing ML vs SC). Of course with Iran and Venezuela conspiring we may see price increases anyway.
They have already hit us with the cost of raw materials.
I was going to say the same thing, I'd say its more the license than the raw materials. I know they have scrapped some stuff over the past year over said materials (X-Babies, Henchmen pack ins etc)They have already hit us with the cost of raw materials.
Or the cost of Hasbro paying for the license.
;)
I'm most curious what scale they are in.
I'm most curious what scale they are in.
They look to be the same scale as the Superman Returns figures - close to 5".
But that's just an educated guess.

Anyone need the arm and leg BAF from Emma Frost?
Anyone need the arm and leg BAF from Emma Frost?
I do. ;D
If there's any doubt that the world thinks the Marvel Legends Emma Frost looks like a piece of crap, just ebay past auctions for the Select version. :o And not the 'ice' version either, that can still be had at moderate and reasonable prices. $100 for MOMC ::) I'm living without that character, either until they re-release the Select version or forever.
Yeah, but that's pretty much an indication that the ML version is a POS too. Brand new, MOMC Marvel Legends Emma Frost: $10. Loose, abused Marvel Select Emma Frost: $40.
Regarding the Marvel Legends line. Does Hasbro plan on going back and releasing any of the older figs that Toybiz made?
Had it been a 4" (3.75") scale from the start, I'd have been ecstatic given how much less space it would have taken up. But even a switch to that preferred scale won't convince me to start anew or dump the old stuff. There's just too much money spent already on the original scale.
The others seem to be peg warming already.
The others seem to be peg warming already.
Did you doubt it ! ?? ! lol.
Hasbro's making it really easy to stop collecting this line. Who the hell wants a silver Wolverine? Might as well give him a surfboard and call him Galactus' new herald. ::)

I could be convinced, but it'll depend on the figures in the wave. If it's a bunch of X-heavy rehashes then I'll pass. If there's enough interesting and new, then I'd be in and probably buy one or two more Marvel Select Brood/Skrull packs for fun. I'd be a bit worried about scale between Legends and Select as well. With Select being a bit larger and Hasbro tending to have smaller BAFs, it would look pretty silly to see the regular brood figure being as large or large than the BAF queen. I'm hoping they keep that in mind. I'm not counting on it, but I'm hoping so.
I think it's been confirmed that the Brood / Skrull pack will be in scale with Legends and won't be of the same scale as previous Select pieces.
I guess its ok for the movie lines though.

>:(
No, it's not. Angry is not for you, I'm just disappointed with the scale shift. My wife won't be. My wallet won't be. But I am. I didn't have any plans to stop buying these but they've made the decision for me. I suppose that's an indication I was ready to stop buying them anyway.
Like you I was buying at least one Spidey and the villain from the movies, but if the scale is different, that will stop too. I know with respect to the movie figures my dollars are entirely meaningless, I'm just surprised by the switch.
Mephisto (http://photos.superherotimes.com/showphoto.php?photo=13967&cat=1439) looks awesome. I love the throne set up.
Two questions:
1. What are the little black discs for that are in the M.O.D.O.K. wave?
2. Does the blue Wasp exist or is this another Psylocke-ian, imaginary variant?

I believe the discs re for the backgrounds, to hold them up. Or did this wave come with cards, either way they are stands.
2. Nope, just the one sample that got out i believe. Another Psylocke situation.
I was reading through some stuff at the Fwoosh forums yesterday, and it sounds like the rumored Fantastic Four BAF wave (possibly comic-based) is now rumored to be a Ronan the Accuser BAF wave. Who knows if this will be true or not, but I think someone found some listings on the Hasbro site that led them to this conclusion. Hopefully we'll find out more about the future waves of Legends in the coming weeks - I've read rumors of more being shown either via ToyFare (the magazine) or at the New York Comic Con later this month. We'll see I guess.I got the latest ToyFare yesterday there was nothing in there about Marvel Legends...not even the three variants

Scorpion - yes, multiple paint jobs in various versions
Venom - at least three times
Doc Ock - at least twice, not counting the movies
Electro - once in a box set and more recently with an action feature
Green Goblin - too many times to count, including various artist versions plus the movie version
Hobgoblin - once very early on in SC line
Demogoblin - on the shelves now but it's just a repainted Hobgoblin from the early waves
Manwold - Nope
Lizard - multiple versions including one on the pegs in a repaint now
Vulture - only in the Sinister Six box set
Shocker - very recent release (last fall)
Carnage - once in a box set, once carded, slightly different paint
Kingpin - only in the face off two packs with Daredevil (white suit and variant black suit)
Hydro - hydroman is a craptasticular figure released in the same wave as Shocker
Morbius - very early SC release
Mysterio - early release but repaint is out in the 2007 line
Scarecrow - nope
Rhino - multiple versions including a repaint out now. Ultimate, classic and other versions exist
Beetle - yeah, but a horrible figure
Sandman - yes he's out, earlier SC release, might be a repaint about, will be a movie version
Kraven - early release in SC line plus in Sinister Six box set, repaint out in 2007 line
Black Cat - only in the S6 box set; also an expensive Marvel Select version
Punisher - comic and Thomas Jane versions exist, also released in a box set, plus the face off two packs
Bullseye - marvel legends release (series 8?)
I'll add more detail but that's all I had time for now.
Meh, no big, good mental exercise.
Off the top of my head, I can't think of anything that wouldn't be considered a crossover villain that you've missed.
Can someone help me identify all of Spidey's villains that have been released thus far in the 6" range? I have been only a casual collector for the last few years and have not followed the various lines (ML, FF4, Spiderman, etc.) as much as I would have liked to. This is the current list I have:
Manwold
Could anyone link me to the photo's of each of the "Goblin" figures issued in the Marvel Legends scale? I'd like to complete a Goblin Collection, before I start on Venom.
Love,
Kevin
There's also this Hobgoblin (http://toybiz.com/2006/72195_thmb_lg.jpg) from SMC 17, depending on what type you are looking for:

Fake Edit: Anyone know if some one makes stands for the Goblin Gliders, like that fellah at Fwoosh made the psycic blades for whats her name? Cheers.
I'll put out my call for help for wave two already, because the figures ain't showing here before I die. ::) Somebody send me a She-Hulk, puhlease.

Do you want it loose or in package? If you want the She-Hulk and not the Blob BAF piece. I will split the cost with you. I can have it shipped up to you with one of Jeff's packages for you.

Well, I want the Blob BAF but I'm not prepared to buy all the figures to do so. I guess that means I'll either ebay the pieces, the whole thing, or not own it at all. So yeah, I'll split the cost with you because a loose figure is fine by me.
If anyone else is just Blob-ing it, I'm also after the Yellow Jacket and Quicksilver figures. I could be convinced on Jean Grey as well as I could give that figure to my daughter.
Has wave 2 started hitting?I believe Wave 2 is an April release

I agree with what Brent is mentioning in regards to how to set up the waves of figures. With the Spider-Man line switching to 5" and movie/video game likenesses, just incorporate the villains (Chameleon, Hammerhead, etc.) and supporting characters (MJ, Aunt May, etc.) into the Legends line - little by little. I know we'll see some complaining if there is too much of that too, but more balanced waves would be good with me too.
With what we've seen of Wave 3 here, I think the figures themselves look pretty nice - but the lineup just isn't that exciting. Granted, we're not seeing all of the rumored lineup - at least not so far - with 1st App. Cap, Bucky, and X3 Colossus missing (is that right?). That makes some difference. Of what we're shown here, I'll probably pick up the Astonishing Cyclops, because I like that version, and possibly Black Knight. The Marvel Girl looks like a pretty nice figure, but I don't know if I'll pick it up or not. I read the "Danger" arc in Astonishing, but still could pretty much care less about the character. If the rest of the rumors for this wave pan out, I'll probably be picking up 3 of the figures or so.
Again, I don't think the quality is necessarily terrible, just the character/lineup makeup is kind of boring to me. I guess so much was done in ToyBiz's 15 waves (plus Face Offs, box sets, etc.) there really isn't a whole lot left to do that isn't getting way down the list in minor characters or variations of characters. Like Mikey said, I'm not necessarily all that excited for the same characters in different outfits ("but she has a new hat!"), so that is part of it too. The list of characters I'd like to see is shorter and shorter now, so maybe it will be time to wrap things up eventually. That said, I'm still curious to see if these rumored F4 and Spidey BAF waves pan out, because I'd like to see some all new comic versions of the 4, Doom, Mary Jane (if possible), Mole Man, Namor, etc. I wish we'd get more word on those rumors. Anyways, nice to see some new stuff, but a bit of a "meh" to me, just because of the character selection shown.
I'd ask for your Brood pieces, but it sounds like we'll be buying the same stuff Mikey.
3 Angel figures - blue, red and the Apocalypse version
2 Cyclops figures - regular and chase
8756 Wolverine figures, a couple only because Scott sent them too me anyway >:( and a couple because I needed the BAF parts >:(
2 Phoenix figures, red and green and they even re-released the green figure
2 Beast figures, one with labcoat, one without
2 Magneto figures, one with an open mouth, one closed ::)
Its taken us this long just get to a She-Hulk, Yellowjacket, Black Knight, Quicksilver(!)...there's lots yet to make.
As for the 5" Spiderman figures? I have to admit that I'm somewhat impressed. I took some pics last night and hopefully I'll get them posted soon, but these looked really sharp. Whether or not they'll sell is another item entirely.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'll keep my eyes open for it. Can't look worse than the regular does.
Yup. I'll just snag whatever I can and pass them on. Jeez, I might even get one for myself.
Maybe Target will start clearancing wave 1. I still need Annihilus' head and don't want to pay $10 for it. Half that and I'll pounce. Until then, Annihilus will remain headless.
Wizard has "press photos" (http://www.wizarduniverse.com/magazine/toyfare/003823909.cfm) of ML Series 3 up, as well as some other upcoming stuff (Silver Wolverine, Clear Emma, and future SuperHero Squad).
Local MN TRU has the Diamond Emma Frost and the 25th Anniversary Silver Wolverine.
Brent do you want me to get them for you as well and I can see if Jeff will add them to the other stuff he is baby sitting for you?
I went to Walmart, Target, and TRU today and didnt find anything i wanted so i ended up buying the silver Wolverine. ::) I really had no intention of buying it but i was so frustrated not finding anything i needed to buy something.I think you need help :P

I can't figure out what Hasbro was thinking when they went to a 1" smaller scale with the SM3 figures. They're just smaller enough (grammar? pshaw.) to look ridiculous displayed next to every other 6" figure.
I really could care less anymore because the list of stuff I want is so short, Legends could end after Wave 3 and I'd not even blink an eye. Not having to buy 4 toy lines for the last two years has been a relief. Sure I've probably branched out a little on some higher end SW stuff but its nowhere near the sheer physical amount of stuff that was coming in to my house. Thank you toy companies for making horrible business decisions!

The Legends can't go 6 inch until we get Gladiator dammit!!!! Damn where is the pimpest among all the Shi'Ar Imperial Guard??? >:( Once he's done, then the line can end or switch!!
I wonder why the decision to go 6" was made to begin with. The 90's Toy Biz Marvel stuff was all 5" was it not? Now if only they made a Venom to go with it...
Has anyone seen the exclusive Venom or Spidey at Walmart?
Also, our local store has lowered their prices since Sunday (from $8.67 to $7.88), but the "exclusive" Spidey was $9.96.
Thanks for the pic, i like the shiny look.
Yeah ! Here you go ! I know I want these !

I'd love a set of these too but unfortunatly there are none in my area and they all seem to be on ebay. They say these were limited to 3,000pcs and I find that hard to believe with an exclusive, Hasbro figure. If I can't find one at retail I'm not messing with them. They seem to go for about $10-$15 on ebay right now. Something just doesn't seem to add up on these. Limited to 3,000 but no one is really jumping on them on ebay? They have to be more common or else no one really seems to care about these.
In regards to my most wanted list, this is what coincides with their top 10:
Black Bolt
Nova
Jean Grey
Adam Warlock
Dazzler
Jubilee
Adam Warlock, Black Bolt and Nova are very near to the top of my wants, the others a I would happily buy.
All they really need to make is Tigra, Mockingbird, Photon, and Quasar at this point. Then they can switch over to 5" figures to match the spidey line. ;D
Movies must be a lot more profitable than I think because I'm just shocked Hasbro would shell out that much cash for pegwarm city and a dying toy line :-\

A better question would be: "Has anyone seen a KB Toy Store on clearance?" I don't think we have any KB's left in Minnesota.
Albertville & NorthField Outlet malls.
I'd probably only buy Tigra and Black Bolt but only if they were making more of the Inhumans. Not much else in the top 50 I'd even buy:
01. Black Bolt
06. Tigra
14. Ultron - classic version
23. Enchantress
31. Wrecker
42. US Agent
47. Arnim Zola
And as I've said before...I really don't care that much anymore. I've gotten pretty much every single last thing I ever wanted out of this line. We're in gravy territory.

I wouldn't waste my time going out to Albertville. We stopped there on the way back from Minneapolis last year and it sucked big.
Canadian TRUs got in the diamond Emma Frost and promptly jacked the price up to $14.99 before taxes ::) I'll confess this version looks better than the regular, but it's still wearing a diaper and I just can't get past that.
I prefer the Marvel Select Emma Frost over the former WWF Wrestler Chyna (Jonnie Lauer) inspired Hasbro Emma Frost. I hope that the Rachel Summers in Series 3 is more feminine looking.
Still waiting on series 2 to show up here so I can snag my She-Hulk :-*
One of the local drug stores brought in the Monsters box set and after taxes it was only $16, so I picked it up. They're supposed to be bringing in the Young Avengers set as well, but I'll pass on that one.
I saw Yellowjacket in person tonight. Definitely one of the better pieces from the new wave. But at the price that KayBee is offering HML for ($11.99 each), I'll be passing on this until I see it somewhere for a better price.
$12?! That's crazy. >:(

$12.95 - $14.95 at regular retail up here. The lowest they ever were is $9.99.

That's in Canadian dollars though, right? What is that in US $?
First point would be that I get paid in Canadian dollars ;)
Second point would be $11.37 - 12.85 before taxes. I think you metro guys pay 6% but we pay 13% up here, so pretty damn near the same even after you work it all out.
Stepping gently off my soap box now...
Never forget that on top of that 13% 'sales' tax, I also lose about 33% of my paycheck off the top to various taxes including provincial (= state) and federal income taxes. There is merit to the health care benefits, but it's not nearly so rosy as some US politicians would have you believe. The system is pretty damn screwed up for the most part. Oh sure, it's free but my wife waited 8 months for an MRI and another 5 on top of that for her ACL (knee) reconstruction. I believe in the US that would all be accomplished in under a month.
As for property taxes, I doubt they're lower. I pay about $5K a year for a 2300 sq ft house (on a lot that's about 70x130 feet).
And remember, I pay taxes on toys that you friendly neighbourhood Minnesotans send me too in the form of "customs" fees.
But no, I haven't paid a penny for my kid this year with respect to health care (which doesn't include dental).
The US health care system ain't great, but ours isn't the one to aspire to have either. Somewhere in the middle.
Stepping gently off my soap box now...
I actually didn't think W1 was that bad outside of Emma.
Does anyone have an extra black spider-woman? it is the one variant that I really still want from the end of the TB line.
Clear, diaper-clad Emma Frost and silver Wolverine are sitting at our TRUs right now. I'm guessing Hasbro underestimated the intelligence of the ML buyers. Presumably they were thinking they are all star wars collectors and will buy anything with silver spray paint so long as the logo is correct. Whoops.
I saw via the Fwooshnet forums that CornerStoreComics (http://www.cornerstorecomics.com/af_marvel_clearance.html) is having a big Marvel clearance sale, with a lot of past Legends and other stuff on clearance. I've personally never ordered from them, so I don't know much about them, but I thought I would pass it along in case anyone is interested.
Anyone want to save 25% and get free shipping at hasbrotoyshop? Enter code FNFSPR7 at checkout. I just used it to order She Hulk, Yellowjacket and Quicksilver. Total came to just over $23.
I'd imagine it would work on anything.
Obviously the strategy is to get you to buy everything in the wave to build the BAF. If there's stuff you wouldn't normally have bought, but you did to get the BAF, then their marketing dept. is doing their job. ::)
This is no different than having to buy one of each vintage style SW figure to get your mail-away Lucas is it?Actually, yes, it is. Unlike Star Wars, the Marvel Universe entails a bunch of stories, over a rather lengthy (40+ years of real time) period of time that isn't really always well hinged together. I'm familiar with all of the Star Wars stories, but it would cost a massive fortune to keep up with all of Marvel's titles that are eligible for the Legends lineup. Xorn? Uh, no, thanks. Some folks like Avengers, some folks don't. Same holds true for the X-men, Fantastic Four, etc. Relatively few people buy ALL of the titles, so it is very different.
And yet people whine that they have to get a few extra figs for the BAF. You know, Hasbro could just stop putting BAF parts in with the reg figs. They'd charge the same price, you'd still get the figures you want, but instead of having a chance to build a BAF you'd have nothing extra. Then they could make Blob a Target exclusive and charge you $25 for him. Orrrr, you could just spend a few extra bucks to get the couple of figures you really don't want, use them to make Blob, and get rid of the extra figures on here or Ebay or use them for customs or whatever.

Wow, didn't mean to get you so riled up man. I disagree with most of what you're still complaining about though.
1.) Star Wars has lines with EU stuff verus movie stuff. I know for a fact that a number of people collect only movie figures. Other people just collect figures they think are cool, but not every one of them. Still others like to keep their stuff sealed. Its really no different than the Legends stuff - if you want mail away coins or Lucas Trooper or whatever, you need to buy everything offered to get it.Ok, no. First, yes, lots of EU, but how hard is it to figure out a blackhole stormtrooper? Darth Revan? Wow, that's tough. But who says I'm buying it? Maybe some I am (bhs) but some I'm not (Revan). Same philosophy as my approach to Legends.
More to your point, compare the number of SW figures to the number of legends and I would argue that its ten times easier to follow the backstory of every legends character made to date than it is to figure out the story behind every SW figure that is released. And if you're really struggling that much on who xorn is, a simple google search will tell you in about 30 seconds and its free!
At least you get a BAF with Legends. What do you get free with SW stuff? Mini chess pieces, a coin, a stand? I'd rather get a BAF of some kind, regardless of its size. You could get nothing at all. If you only want three of the eight figures, then just toss your extra Blob pieces and be done with it. Or...
If you really want the Blob, you can buy the extra figures or buy a loose Blob on Ebay. Either way costs you about $50. If that's more than you want to pay, then don't buy it - at least you have an option. I would really like the C4 McQuarrie exclusives and will probably have to pay twice the price to get them, but that's life. At least witht he BAF you have a chance to get the figures at retail. If there was no BAF parts and Blob was a convention exclusive for $50, would you be happier?
I don't think anyone likes every figure in every line of any kind of toy that's released. Look up the forums on the TAC waves and you will find dozens of people that don't want a Scuba Trooper or another Han or repainted clones. There are others, both kids and collectors, who do want those figs and maybe they don't want some of the ones you would consider cool. Hasbro will never please everyone with an entire line of figures - SW or ML.
What it all boils down to is this - you're getting something free with your collectible figure and complaining about it, and that's what I have a problem with. I think if you take a moment to think about it this way, maybe you'll be a lot less upset about something that should be bringing you joy. ;)And obviously I disagree. I think Hasbro should have released Blob as a regular figure, it's important enough to do so. With ToyBiz, they were releasing figures that were considerably larger and not practical to fit into a regular package (Galactus, Sentinel, Giant Man). There was merit to it and I sucked it up to complete those figures too. I didn't really want or need even a second Thor figure but I bought it to get the Giant Man figure. Throwing a third at me this fast? Nuh-uh.
Ok, no. First, yes, lots of EU, but how hard is it to figure out a blackhole stormtrooper? Darth Revan? Wow, that's tough. But who says I'm buying it?
I'm not sure how you can seriously compare the SW universe to Marvel's universe. For the most part you're talking about 12 hours worth of movies versus thousands of issues of comic books. Sure, the EU not withstanding messes it up a bit, but I'm not jumping all over the EU stuff, so my argument remains consistent.Well, I can't argue for what fits with your personal preference. Maybe I only like the EU stuff, or maybe I just collect imperials. What if I say that the Avengers storyline is the only one you need to pay attention to and you should skip X-men villians like Blob or skip villians all together and only buy heroes? Your point was that its too difficult to follow who all the ML characters are, but there are 10 Pote Snitkins in the SW line for every ML Xorn.
Previous Celebration exclusives have been retoolings or a minor change by adding a different head or accessory, but not totally new. Toyfare Vader was just a repaint when it comes down to it. No, if you wait a year, you'll be able to get the same darn figures in a regular assortment for $7.
I think Hasbro should have released Blob as a regular figure, it's important enough to do so. This just isn't the case with this figure that is a fairly important figure in the comic books. And I'm really unclear how exactly this constitutes something "Free"? You don't think the price reflects this piece being in there? I'd rather they drop the BAFs and pull the price back down.
The point is that sometimes you need to buy something you don't want to get what you do want.
Well, I can't argue for what fits with your personal preference. Maybe I only like the EU stuff, or maybe I just collect imperials. Your point was that its too difficult to follow who all the ML characters are, but there are 10 Pote Snitkins in the SW line for every ML Xorn.Kinda. But those Pote Snitkins don't require me to buy anything else. I buy them or I don't. I don't lose out on an accessory I want or a BAF or anything at all. I just leave it on the shelf and keep the money in my pocket. That's not the choice I'm given here with Blob at all. The worst part is I own three parts I can't even assemble to pretend it's a dismembered Blob that Wolvie got pissed at. ;)
Not sure where this insight is coming from. When exactly will Hasbro be releasing the Jorg Sacul figure with the rest of the line? Or the Lucas Trooper? Or the C3 Vader with talking base? Are you suggesting that I can just repaint or make customs of anything that's too expensive? If that's the case, just take a Hulk, put some clay on the belly, and swap out the head to make your own custom blob.Sorry, I explained that poorly. I keep thinking you're inside my head and know what I'm driving at but thankfully you don't suffer that fate.
If you don't realize this is "Free" then you obviously don't work for a major manufacturer. I think the average Legends figure today costs $9.99 at retail? If Hasbro dropped the BAF parts, what would you pay? You'd pay $9.99. They consider the piece as an investment spend to get you to purchase more product, but there is no way that they would lower the price to $9 if they took that piece out. Sure, their margin per figure would increase or the retailers margin would increase, but show me an example anywhere in the history of toys when a manufacturer took out an 'extra' portion of the product and lowered the retail price. If anything, you might pay more if they took out the BAF pieces, because they'd sell less overall and would probably need to jack up the price to make the line worthwhile.
I also would argue that Blob is not a major character in the Marvel U. I collect ML figs (mostly avengers/some X-Ment and Villians), but have no problem keeping this guy out of my collection. What you're basically telling me is that you specifically really want this figure and are irritated that you'll have to pay $50 to get it. I really wanted a Flip up visor Biker Scout, but not the TRU exclusive AT-AT - not much you can do about that.
Talk all you want about the size of the figs or whether or not you buy the comparisons to star wars... at the end of the day, you would be paying the same amount for the core line of figures you want with or without the Blob pieces, so all I'm saying is that you shouldn't complain about a freebie. It's not free. How is me buying an additional $50 worth of toys I don't want to get the extra bits inside free?
So, wanna hook me up with some half price Order 66 packs ;) :P
A few more pics of the Stan Lee figure at the TNI forums (http://forums.toynewsi.com/index.php?s=710082f986f9ed931cfc5917308b9849&showtopic=2037299). Still rumored to be a SDCC exclusive, so I really hope I'm able to pick one up (or they put it on HTS or something).
I hope its a clear diamond She-Hulk or a Silver She-Hulk! That would be great! Then I can promptly add it to my list of stuff I'll never even consider getting.

I'll be right behind you on that. If it is a FF variant, that'll be neat.
Is the Stan Lee figure a Legends style or is it more the Mego-style type of figure? I'd be up for the former for novelty sake, but not the latter.

ML4 will still have an 8 figure line-up.
5 characters are all new/never been done before in ML, while 3 are different versions of previously released characters.
The Line-UP:
1.) FA Storm - already said it
2.) Black Bolt - already said it
3.) only Avenger in this series
4.) Shiny!
5.) NON-616 character; (not from ultimate universe either)
6.) a marvel mainstay gets a new version
7.) an icon gets shrunken down
8.) Highly requested character! (sorry that's all you're getting...)
BAF: maintain that he/she/it's a 90's x-character...not strong guy.
This thread (http://www.fwooshnet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40299&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15) at the Fwoosh has pics of the She-Hulk exclusive, and it looks to be a Lawyer She-Hulk/F4 She Hulk combo (or F4 She-Hulk with a soft good jacket and brief case to add. There is also a different head sculpt.

Mmm, green goodness. Different feet/shoes too? Cool to get two decent Shulkie figures right in a row like that. Unless of course this devolves into an Emma Frostian fiasco :-X Must stay positive.
I didn't need a Human Torch, Thing, Silver Surfer or Doom figure though because I'm satisfied with the ML versions.
That FF lineup does look promising and hopefully they aren't all "movie style" (are they?).
I don't know if these lines can handle the huge launches the way Star Wars does for the most part.I'm sure this is just a difference with our retail up here, but Star Wars, whether Episode II or III, didn't have near the launch of product that the POTC, Transformers, Spiderman, Superman had in the more recent years. It was more on the scale of Shrek toys and even those have been more dependable and easy to find on the pegs than Star Wars has been since about 2000. Clearly the Episode I glut scarred many retailers, at least up here, and never recovered. But as far as our Walmarts go, they have been horrible for Star Wars for about six years now, even with a movie release. Jeez, if they put out as much Star Wars product as they did Hulk product, I'd have been in heaven. My point being on this side of the border, retailers viewed Star Wars as the weakest movie of the bunch relative to the recent spate of sequels.
I remember there being an article or comment that Hasbro found that research showed kids like 5" figures better
I'm confident the statistical analysis of the results said something like 72.4% of children preferred the smaller scale because of they fit in their pocket and they are more suited to smaller hands.
I think you're right on the mark Brent that kids could really care less what size the figure is. The kid is psyched for the Spidey movie (or whatever movie) and wants the Spider-Man. I don't think they necessarily care if it is 3 3/4" or 6" or whatever.
Have any of my fellow ML collectors found Wave 2 variants at retail yet? Targets around here are just starting to get the regular assortments of W2 in.
I totally disagree with that. Maybe if this is a kid's first few action figure...then I could see them not caring about size.
Have any of my fellow ML collectors found Wave 2 variants at retail yet? Targets around here are just starting to get the regular assortments of W2 in.
hee-hee, up here we haven't even seen wave 2 at all. At regular retail, it's in comic shops, but no variants there at all.
I thought the 5" scale product wasn't that bad looking, just the wrong scale. How hard can it be to just scale those up by an inch without screwing it up entirely?
HML Emma Frost (regular and "diamond" exclusive) - $2.50 each
Pics of Hulk wave 2 (http://www.thecomiccrypt.com/viewtopic.php?t=807)
Much, much better than the ****fest that was the movie Spidey wave. I assume we'll see wave 1 and the big ass Chinese dragon in purple underwear at SDCC.
I'm really curious what the future will hold for Hasbro Legends.
They look showdown size to me, pass. I cant wait to see the FFF wave.
The Cannonball/Domino pairing makes some sense, but why Marvel Girl and Cable?
There's a run-down of the Marvel Q and A with Hasbro at Action Figure Insider (http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/main/). It sounds like Wave 4 will be the first 2008 wave, and the F4 wave is due in October. They also mentioned that characters like Shang-Chi, 1st App. Storm, and more Inhumans are on the way in the future. It also sounds like Hasbro has been discussing 6" scale, articulated Star Wars figures in the Legends style, according to this Q and A. Yikes, this could be interesting if we'd have two Star Wars lines/scales out at once.
The Cannonball/Domino pairing makes some sense, but why Marvel Girl and Cable?
She could be considered his mother. Technically, Madeline Pryor is Cable's mother, but since Maddy is a clone of Jean, close enough.

MarvelousNews (http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=23&itemid=11058) has a short article discussing the number of waves/figures for 2007 with Hasbro. It does sound like we can indeed expect Series 3, the Spidey movie series, and the F4 series before the end of the year. Wave 4 was delayed until 2008 so it wouldn't be "overload".
I am thinking of getting out of the ML line. Just losing interest. Any suggestions for how to best get rid of them. I have almost every figure from Series 1 through 15, minus a few variants here and there.
I just don't want to dump them piecemeal unless I have too. Thoughts?
If you have any of the following - I'd pick them up for a reasonable price:
S8 Black Widow (either version)
S1 Stealth Iron Man
S1 Gold Iron Man
S7 Phasing Vision
There was a store with a Black Widow about 1/2 hour south of me not so long ago, I'll take a look next time I'm in that town.
MarvelousNews (http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=23&itemid=11080) has some carded and loose pics of Wave 3 of Hasbro Marvel Legends up now.
-I'm pretty much assured that Marvel Legends will die in Canada with the first wave. It started out with only Walmart getting in bizarre cases with Planet Hulk and Beast only. It progressed to some actual regular cases coming in with the other figures, though still too many of Beast/Hulk. Today I saw more figures from a single wave of Marvel Legends than I have ever seen in the whole run of the line :o TRU must have dropped about six cases into a wire basket and another two on the pegs. Superstore, which carries no toys after Christmas put out cases of them. Walmart had them stacked like they were McFarlane hockey figures :o >:(
It is insane, these will never, ever sell. I can't imagine these being anything but mass clearanced at $5 by spring and we won't see any re-orders after that. The only place that might carry them would be TRU, but their policy of not marking stuff down will burn them hard yet again, so they'll be clogged with these forever.
So tell me again why Hasbro bought this license?
Ok, I'll take it then :-*
Brian,
If you're not going for Ronan, I'll buy your BAF parts from you. It would save me buying Doom and the Silver Surfer at the very least, both of whom I don't need.
I ordered a set of the FF figures from my comic shop, December arrival date apparently for him. So either I don't need your guys parts or I can sell you just the figures if you like. Whichever.
Also finally saw wave 2 ML up here this morning. Not widespread, but they're about. I've seen a green Quicksilver on ebay from a Canadian seller too, so maybe I'll have a little luck there.
Yeah, that can work for me. I'll probably end up liking her ::) so I'll buy a second if I do. But as long as my Comic Book shop comes through, you'll see her later this year.
Can I vote for none of the above...come on! No Avengers or their main villains? ::)
Go Northstar. Wonder if he comes with a bar of soap.
This thread (http://www.thefwoosh.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43594) at the Fwoosh has a list of a possible lineup for Wave 2 of HML in 2008. Not sure if it is accurate or not, but here is what is listed:
Spiral
Adam Warlock
Silver Savage Silver Surfer
Spider-Man (Black Suit)
Union Jack
US Agent
Marvel Legends Black Queen? (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2674695&cp=&sr=1&f=Taxonomy%2FTRUS%2F2255956&origkw=marvel+legends&kw=marvel+legends&parentPage=search) Uh, did we know this was coming? It's up for pre-sale at TRU.com. ???
You mean Diaper Frost? I still haven't bought one of those either :-\ It looks a little less bad on the black queen, but I'll still hold out until I can score a decent Marvel Select Emma Frost on ebay.
You mean Diaper Frost?
Not the regular HML1 release, but the diamond variant exclusive to TRU. It's her and Silver Surfer Wolverine clogging the pegs at my TRU. Save for a few Hercules, there's no other Hasbro ML hanging on the pegs.
Hoping HTS.com gets the next wave before the online code expires.
Don't know if you guys have seen them yet but they had the new 2 packs at Walmart this evening.
Don't know if you guys have seen them yet but they had the new 2 packs at Walmart this evening.
Which two packs and in what area do you live? ???
The Domino/Cannonball and Cable/Marvel Girl 2 Packs. I live in Southern California.
Nice to know these are out. I was thinking of getting MJ from this wave - what do you think of it in person?
I did get Cap, Bucky, Black Knight and Cyclops and the pieces of Brood are yours Mikey :-*
Did HTS.com crash for anyone else? Server not available?? A big shipment of hot My Little Pony come on line or what ???
Who are the warmers of the Spidey ML wave?
Who are the warmers of the Spidey ML wave?
I don't think it's been out long enough for there to be warmers just yet, at least in the 6" scale (the 5" scale would be everything). I only found them at one store period.
In ML news, I found the Black Queen tonight at TRU, of course. In US packaging so I'm surprised I haven't seen reports from youse guys yet.
MarvelousNews (http://marvelousnews.com/database/index.php?itemid=1073) has a number of pics up of HML3, if anyone is interested. It might just be me, but something about the Bucky in this series just doesn't look quite right to me.
I like the smaller lineup, but why not go with 2 Tigras and one Punisher for multiple obvious reasons. ::) At least with the smaller lineup we might see more than 1-2 waves per year.
Not sure why it took 4 weeks for them to ship the damn things, I got my free Titanium Hulk two weeks ago already
I'm really wondering what to do with the DCU Classics line. At first, I thought I'd go whole hog from the beginning - then this big Star Wars push hit the last couple months and I realized I wouldn't be able to keep up with that with more SW next year (and Indy/Marvel). I plan to get the Batman stuff and the "Leaguers" for sure (the bigger names at least), but I'm on the fence with the rest. There are some of the announced BAFs that I'd like (Grodd, Grundy), but I don't know if I can go into another line buying figures I don't necessarily want to get BAFs. It would be nice to actually "cut back" a little more in these years where I think I'm going to ;). Plus, it seems stressful enough at times just keeping up with/finding Star Wars, where I don't know if I'd need the headache of a Mattel line :).

Not real bad I guess but I really have no interest in what most people want anymore I guess. Methinks next year be mostly spent on DC and getting at least all of the original Super Friends as that is my only real exposure to said universe
I'm still just itching to have a nicely done, comic based "Friends & Family" based Spidey box set.
Classic Mary Jane
May Parker
Robbie Robertson
Gwen Stacy
J. Jonah Jameson
Throw in a Tombstone and a Spidey figure to round out a nifty box (May's too small to count as a full figure, or drop Gwen) and it's a guarantee. How do I get that done? EE exclusive? C'mon, help me out here Hasbro.
West Coast Avengers:
Hawkeye Resculpt
White Vision
Mockingbird
US Agent
Ultron Rescuplt
Wonderman Resculpt
Scarlet Witch Resculpt

Not surprisingly the Marvel50 code does not work :'(
Is anyone seeing the twopacks at stores anymore? Series two stuff I mean. I didn't see any when I was down in San Diego.

You mean the WM 2-packs? I've never seen them at retail...
The Hydra soldiers (both versions) are currently available at HTS. I've no idea if they'll actually ship out the variation or not, but I ordered one of each.
Is there a third two pack in the series? I'm interested in the Domino set for sure, less so on the Cable pack but cannot recall the third. Variants always welcome :P

Brent...do you still need these? I picked up a set today in case you do...I also have your Metamorpho :)
I am so stoked about this line. I wonder what 12 figures they will start with. I hope this line continues like the legends line and produces 100's of figures. my top picks for the first twelve are
Wolerine
Spiderman
Thing
Green Goblin
Magneto
Punisher
Capt America
Hulk
Nick Fury
Silver Surfer
Rouge
Cyclops
The selections for this line are endless
I can't wait to see a nightcrawler and Iceman the same scale as Darth Vader and Indiana Jones. Now this brings me back to my childhood when all figures were made in the same scale. Now if Hasbro had and Did Battlestar Galactica and DC Heroes in the scale I be in debt far worse then I am now. Throw in Star Trek and I would be selling blood by the Gallons.
Ah, but it's only a matter of time before DC figures come in that scale too. They'll have to run with the 6" scale for a while, but if the Marvel Legends in 3.75" scale are a success, I think you can all but guarantee we'll see a DCUC in that scale as well. :-X
I hope Mattel does, I held off on Both 6" lines on Marvel Legends and DCCU because of their size.
I also wonder if this isn't the death knell for the 6" line? It hasn't done well for Hasbro I suspect, through a combination of some crappy looking figures (and some nice ones) and spotty distribution. Plus if they open up the smaller scale, they'll have every figure to do all over again and wouldn't have to tolerate people like me griping about the 4th Thor in a short time span.
True. We've seen frequent re-use of parts at least by toy-biz for many of the figures, so there were cost saving measures available.
I do know I'll go nowhere near a 6" line of Star Wars figures. Nuh-uh, not gonna happen.
The 3.75" marvel legends are very disconcerting on the other hand. Must say no.
Oooh, give in Mikey. I could see not doing DC before because of all the different lines with different scale issues, but now with DCUC you almost have to, especially with ML winding down.
As for the 3.75" stuff, I really hope they screw that up as badly as they did the 6" line. No animosity in that statement, but if the first few figures look like crap, I'll be able to stay away much more easily. ;)
Of Course my Wallet and Wife will say different.
For the most part, Hasbro maintains that the 6" is still being sculpted by all of the same old sculptors that Toy Biz uses. The big difference is that the articulation has went down AND they have also reduced paint apps and paint washes. That has been huge. Some of the newer stuff looks horrible when you put it against some of the classic Toy Biz sculpts. Take for instance the Original Doc Doom vs the recent FF Wave one. By all means the detailing and sculpting is far far superior...just check the paint differences w/o the wash and I think it looks terrible

We've already heard it, but ToyFare (http://www.wizarduniverse.com/magazine/toyfare/007267511.cfm) has confirmed that Spiral will be in HML Series 5, and they also have a pic. They say "stay tuned to WizardUniverse.com soon for the rest of the pics", but I don't know how "soon" that will be. Figures rumored for this wave include: Black Costume Spidey, Adam Warlock, Silver Savage, USA Agent, and Union Jack.
...and the Silver Savage, which is what the Silver Surfer was called when he fought in a gladiatorial match against the Hulk during the “Planet Hulk” storyline, where he carried his surfboard like a shield!
From the link:Quote...and the Silver Savage, which is what the Silver Surfer was called when he fought in a gladiatorial match against the Hulk during the “Planet Hulk” storyline, where he carried his surfboard like a shield!
I might be the only person alive that enjoyed the Mojo sub-story, so I'm ok with Spiral coming out. I'd suggest they're reaching to suggest this is a Legend of some sort, but that's really just a semantics argument.
I'd probably pick up the Adam Warlock and then just look at the rest before deciding. Of course wave 5 is so far out for me it's ridiculous, we still haven't seen wave 3 up here at a regular retailer.
Iron Spidey was pretty recent and should probably be pretty cheap on ebay. Same for the Blade figures - they sat around here for quite a while. I still maintain that Deadpool is too much of a stretch for them to re-do.
I picked up the rest of the FF figures tonight :-X Silly, I know, but for $21.50 for the whole set (plus $8 shipping, I couldn't pass). I got the Invisible Woman and Namor to pull a head swap on and I can probably sell Mole Man and Reed for the same amounts again locally.
Anyone's stores clogged with clearance wave 2 Hasbro ML? I'm still hoping to get the last pieces to build Blob. I still need the Xorn, Juggernaut, Wolverine and Jean Grey pieces. Ugh.
I still have yet to see W3 figs or FF ML figs at retail.

Haven't seen these on clearance, but those figs are at almost every Target around here if you want them at full price. I still have yet to see W3 figs or FF ML figs at retail. ::)
I saw this pic (http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e43/NeonDiscogod/Has08HulkBAF.jpg) on the Fwoosh forums, which is apparently from a Hasbro guide that was given out at UK Toy Fair. It shows the rest of the Hulk wave, including a She Hulk, Absorbing Man, Wendigo, a Hulk (End), and the Fing Fang Foom BAF. Not the greatest picture in the world, but I'm sure we'll see these at Toy Fair in a couple weeks as well.
EDIT: I see later in that Fwoosh thread, it is said that the Foom pictured in the guide is actually someone else's custom that Hasbro must have used. I don't know, just what I'm reading :).
Meh. Nice toys for kids, but too many shooty thingies for me. Cool to see the toys in advance and a sneaky way to get in on them, so I imagine they'll disappear shortly. I've a couple Iron Man figs around and I think I still have a War Machine which is probably nicer than that anyway.
Someone over at TNI just posted some Target DPCI numbers for Marvel products. Looks like the Hulk figures will be a little expensive

My WM still has a few Invisible Womans left if you want me to pick one up for you. None of the packaging was in good shape though.
I also have a regular variant (not the backwards one) of Marvel Girl if anyone needs her (cost + shipping of course).
Well I hope Hulk (Ed McGuiness Style) is replaced and not Red King or ValkyrieKnowing Hasbro, they'll probably dump the Absorbing Man figure first :P I swear that's on most people's want lists, so it would go first.
I didnt see Valk or the 3 3/4 line on display.
I have not been reading the storyline but Skrull Elektra (http://i.marvelousnews.com/g/index.php?mode=view&album=2008_Toy_Fair%2FHasbro%2FMarvel_Legends%2F2-Packs&pic=00_ElektraVariant.jpg&dispsize=600&start=0)
Just looking through some Toy Fair pics, and although I know its for the kiddos, I just get a kick out of this:
Like Iron Man would get in his suit, then drive around in a car - just seems funny. The "Ironmobile".
Right, its exactly the same thing - and like I said, I know its for the kiddos, so that's fine. Its just kind of funny - same deal with the constant stream of bump n' gos, and characters like Flash and Green Lantern riding motorcycles in the earlier JL line. But, its not geared towards us, so no biggie I guess.
I'm just not impressed with the Hasbro ML offerings. Scale is off on many of the figures; paint apps and sculpt are crap on some (clearly not all, they run about 50-50 it seems, some are quite good) and the new plastic feels cheap. I'm so happy to have been on board with the ToyBiz stuff. To Hasbro's credit, I think if I didn't have the ToyBiz stuff to compare to, I'd probably be ok with these. But a couple are just so bad in comparison to earlier releases, it's impossible to overlook the flaws.
I was so cranky earlier that when I found Cap and Bucky at Walmart for a couple of bucks less than other stores, I didn't even get them to finish out the Brood Queen. I think I can get her on Ebay for less than I'd pay for them both. I wouldn't mind a Bucky figure for the collection, but that want doesn't outweigh the lack of need for another Cap figure (which is admitedly quite a different sculpt from the others).
I think it's safe to suggest I'm pretty much done with ML for the future. I love what I have and I'm interested in a few of the figs, which I'll pick up. But so much of slide since the ToyBiz in so many areas that they can account for. That makes me sad.
It sure seems to have been a lull lately in all things Marvel. I think the last time I bought a Legends figure was before Christmas (the F4/Spidey/HML 3 waves), and I haven't heard anything of HML 4 showing up anytime soon. It might be due to Hasbro taking over the license, the character selection dwindling, or just so many lines out there these days - but it is starting to seem like DCUC is taking that area's thunder a little bit. I mean, Marvel had its time with the 15 mostly great waves from Toy Biz alone, so I can understand any shift in attention there might be. Plus, Hasbro does seem to have plenty on their plate these days with Star Wars, Indy, Iron Man/Hulk movies, Transformers, Joe (not to mention movies for Joe and TF again next year).

I grew up more of a Marvel fan, although I've always enjoyed both universes, but I have to admit I'm a little more excited for the DCUC line lately. Of course, I think a lot of that may be because I already have my "ultimate" Spidey, Cap, F4, X-Men, etc. and we're still looking forward to pretty much all of the "big guns" from DC, outside of Batman and Superman. I'm curious to see what the Legends line holds for this year beyond HML and the Hulk waves, like what we'll see in the 2-packs. Is anyone else's interest dwindling a bit? I'm sure once the new stuff starts hitting, things will change, because I am looking forward to long-requested figures like Black Bolt and Tigra. Anyways, random thoughts, just noticing a quiet down on the Marvel Legends side of things lately.
It's similar to Power Rangers. Those god damn toys have been clogging shelves since the mid-nineties. **** must be selling to stay on the shelves for 10+ years. It's obviously the kids buying that crap because I don't think I've ever seen a collection of Power Rangers toys (and I've seen people collect some weird and **** toys over the years).
Collectors may not buy the TMNT stuff, but the kids eat that **** up. Both my son and nephew love those ******* toys (Me, I'm waiting for NECA's version).

MarvelousNews (http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=23&itemid=11398) has pics up of the SDCC exclusive Shanna/Kazar/Sabu set from Marvel Legends.
On a side note, does anyone know everything (in the 6" scale anyways) that will be out for the Iron Man movie stuff this weekend? I'm only planning on picking up a Mark 3 version for my Legends display, but I was curious what exclusives there were. From memory, I thought it was:
Target (Silver Centurion repaint of Mark 3)
Wal-Mart (War Machine repaint)
Is that right, or does TRU have something as well? I'm curious how "big of deal" the Iron Man launch will be. I'm looking forward to having a nice, shiny Iron Man in the collection though (I just have the Face Off version).
I'm wondering if Target isn't waiting until today to unleash their Iron Man stuff, taking the Easter holiday as a chance to stock things and change the action figure aisles and all of that.
That has to be a joke (and a lame one at that).
Is thefwoosh.com down for anyone else?

It was indeed an April Fools joke. Too bad i would like Speedball and Lockjaw figures.
How much are they? I plan on getting M2, M3 & Monger. Maybe M1.
I started buying up the Iron Man figures. Iron Man had always been a favorite of mine, from the comic series through the animated series, the original Iron Man Toy Biz line and onto Marvel Legends. The figures are actually pretty cool so far. I managed to get both exclusives. Not sure if I'll buy everything, but so far the 6" figures have been pretty cool. Although I think the Iron Monger should probably be larger.
If you still need a Wal Mart version give me a shout. I have an extra one that I can send you.

It's been bandied about (and some legitimate info has slowly trickled in through distributors and those who buy their Hasbro through distributors) that HML 4 & Icons 5 and 6 have been cancelled.
Well now it's official. Hasbro has stated that their marketing department has decided NOT to move forward on either of these lines as they were previously solicited. Not TOO cryptic, eh?
NO details were offered with regard to the FUTURE of these waves (or the line as a whole), so let's not panic just yet...
To clarify:
THEY DID NOT SAY ANYTHING SPECIFIC ABOUT EITHER OF THE LINES BEING CANCELLED IN THEIR ENTIRETY. [MOD EDIT: bolded for clarity:) ] They very carefully chose their words to target "these waves as they were originally offered" (summarized) rather than the lines as onging entities.
This isn't a surprise to me. In fact this is a blessing in disguise. This line was worst than bad since Hasbro took it over. My hope is that it is the death knell for the entire series so we dont' have to muck around with this crap anymore.
And the ML variants...it didn't take me long to realize that Hasbro's are pretty bloody lame. ;)
And the ML variants...it didn't take me long to realize that Hasbro's are pretty bloody lame. ;)
...And rather impossible to find. I've seen some of the W3 variants, but never ever a green quicksilver or gold yellowjacket. >:(
I saw in this thread (http://forums.toynewsi.com/index.php?showtopic=2052564) at the TNI forums, someone found pics of a couple more of the 2-packs (and Hulk figs) at the Wizard Magazine toy shop. The 2 packs include:
Elektra and Ronin
Cap and Nick Fury (Ultimate)
Mr. Fantastic and The Thing
Wolverine and Forge
Pics at the link, if interested.
The Sunfire is up for preorder at HTS, dont forget to use the GETOUT20 code.

NYCC Mrvel Legends (http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=23&itemid=11454)
I know this belongs in the SuperHeroSquad thread, but it looks like this line is getting a comic Mary Jane before Marvel Legends:
I'm glad they reverted to the 6 inch scale for the movie lines, they fit in well with my ML collection.
I saw the Hulk movie toys today.
Thanks for letting us know about the two packs Brian. As usual, I'm torn on these. I want Ronin, but have two Elektra figures already. Pretty sure I can pass on the Cap/Fury pack though.
Are these exclusives or wil the two packs be available at retail?
Does anyone have one of these for sale or trade?
I'd even buy it loose w/out the Sandman piece.
I saw that this thread (http://www.thefwoosh.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=49691) over at the Fwoosh has a scan (from Lee's Toy Review) showing the upcoming Target wave. Nothing new that we didn't see at NYCC really, although I guess there is a Tiger Stripe Wolverine (variant?) that I wasn't aware of before.

I don't know if anyone here is on the lookout for these, but I noticed that one of our Wal-Marts in town had the newest wave of Marvel Mighty Muggs. I believe I saw Doom, Hulk, Cap, and Thing - but I didn't look real closely.
Marvelous News (http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=23&itemid=11573) has carded and loose pics up of the first wave of 2 packs (Wolvie/Forge, Ult. Fury/Ult. Cap, Elektra/Ronin).

I saw the movie figures, i was looking for the Fin Fang Foom wave. People over at Fwoosh have found them so i figured i would take a shot.
Not much in the way of Hulk figures at retail at all. It seems that once the movie hit the figures flew off the pegs. At least that's what I've seen. Iron Man seemed to go the same way as well.
The Fwoosh (http://www.thefwoosh.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=987&Itemid=96) has a "first look" up at the SDCC Exclusive Savage Land box set (Ka-Zar, Shanna, Zabu) on the way later this month. There are lots of pics, for anyone interested.
I found King Hulk, Abosrbing Man, Doc, and Grey Hulk. There was another Grey Hulk and abosrbing man on the pegs, not sure if they are shipping together though but i think that both assortments are out.
MarvelousNews (http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=23&itemid=11590) has a closer look at the upcoming Target exclusive Red Hulk BAF Wave, which is due around September from the way things are sounding.

Only picking up the Wolverine (All versions) and the Spiral from this set. Anyone want my Hulk pieces?
Yup.
If you're not getting Adam Warlock or Union Jack, you're welcome to their pieces, Brent.
Now, who's going to help me get She Hulk's, King Hulk's, Grey Hulk's, Hulk the End's and Skaar's Foom pieces? :-*
For all you guys thinking about passing on the King Hulk figure, reconsider becuase its probably the best Hasbro ML figure out there and the best Hulk figure next to FO. I think when you see it in person you will agree.
Brent -
Just like that you have nearly all the pieces for Red Hulk now.

We'll see. I'm almost always open to things when I actually see them (I did actually buy the Black Queen figure, so how discriminating am I really?) but the trick of late for me is seeing them. Stores are still stuck on HML series 1/2 up here. It's been horrible.Brent -

Uh-huh, pretty cool.
HULK PIECES for Brenty:
Wolverine - Ryan
Spiral -Ryan (you can keep this or give it to someone else, I'll be buying her anyway)
Adam Warlock - Mikey
Union Jack - Mikey
Shadow ;) Spiderman - Justin
Silver Savage - Brent
Anybody buying a Silver Savage figure :P Or does anyone want a Silver Savage figure? Ryan or Mikey? I'll buy the figure for the piece and you can keep the figure?
For some reason that doesnt seem to bother me as much it did in the past. I am more than ready to going back and buying just what i like. I am a sucker for a BAF and tend to get the whole wave.
Someone over at thefwoosh mentioned that after the FFF, Red Hulk, Holocaust and Ares waves, the BAF concept will be retired and any future ML will be coming out in two packs (similar to the Kree/Skrull, Shield/Ninja, etc. we've already seen).

Saw the first few figures of the Hulk FFF wave at a Target in Fargo. No She-Hulk unfortunately, but 8 figures to build FFF? At $15 a piece? Ouch. $120 + taxes + figures I already have or don't want? :-X
She is shipping but i think at only 1 per case in only one of the assortments. Kind of stupid for a BAF wave, they should be packed evenly
I saw She-Hulk at a couple Targets last Wednesday. Almost caved and bought all 8 between a few Target stores but in the end couldn't do it.
A number of these, including absorbing man, are up at HTS.com. Shulkie is out of stock, but Mikey found one for me anyway :-*
How much are the Target MLs? I want to pick up Spidey & maybe Wolverine.
Hit up several targets a few times this week, still no sign of the wave. People over at fwoosh are reporting they have bumped the price up to 14.99 for all ML at target.
I saw the Target ML wave this morning and they were $14.99. Obscene. They had the Wolverine variant but no Union Jack. Not sure if that's a case assortment or just what they happened to put out that morning. Good looking line, actually. I really dig the Spiral and yellow Wolverine and I think the Red Hulk will look good completely assembled.
I'm surprised people are shocked at the $15 price point.
A 40% price hike is not cool in my book.Neither was the 100% price hike in oil ;)
For those of you who still collect this line, would the $14.99 price be the last straw (if it ends up being the price across the line)?
A 40% price hike is not cool in my book.Neither was the 100% price hike in oil ;)
I was just reading through some info at Fwoosh about the return of Legends, sounds like Hasbro talked about it today in their Marvel presentation. Sounds like the line will start again with Figure #0, a new Modern Thor that will be a SDCC exclusive. After that, the first official wave will begin in January of 2012 (or possibly Christmas of this year) and will be back in the 8 figure, build a figure format. The build a figure for the first wave is Terrax, and the other figures said to be included are Bucky Cap and Ultimate Hawkeye (obviously with an Avengers influence with the movie coming next May).
....and rumors suggest that he will look more Ultimates-like in next year's movie.
I am so torn now. I loved Marvel Legends and now i love Marvel Universe. I really want a Terrax and dont want to support both lines. I have passed on all the Marvel Legends 2-packs, which wouldnt be a problem to catch up with since TRU has them all. What to do! ::)
I dabbled briefly with this line just to grab the Judge Dredd stuff, which was amazing. I really hope they offer up a few more of those in this latest carnation. Judge Anderson would be nice, and the rest of the "Death Judges".Wrong line...you are talking about Legendary Heroes ;)
Wave 1 will be in the case the whole show. Wave 2 will debut at Hasbro’s Marvel panel and then be in the case after that.
Wave 1 will be: Klaw (classic look), Hope Summers, Constrictor, Steve Rogers as the Super Soldier, Iron Man (one of his classic armors), what looks to be the new movie version of Ghost Rider, the Comic Con Thor and the Build-a-figure is Terrax
It looks like there's some great ML stuff coming out, and it's awesome to see it coming back. But when did Wolverine get the ******bag tattoos?
Damn, I saw the pack with Terrax' head and axe and it looked sweet. I just can't justify the expense to build the only figure I want. Will have to look for one on eBay I guess...he came out great.
You should have slipped her your number and then tell her to get the rest. :-*
Half way done with wave 2 technically if i dont want any variants. Still need Thunderball, Big-Time Spider-Man, Future Foundation Spider-Man, and one of the Madame's (Dont care which one)

Anyone have a definitive list of the variants? I know about Iron Man, but not sure about the others. I'm only looking to get a few of these, but would consider buying one version over the other depending on what they're offering.
I'm much more impressed with the Legends line this time around vs. when Hasbro first took over. I'm also a bit surprised as to how these are mostly sold out everywhere I go.
What do you think about the figures themselves Brian?
I believe the X-Force 3 pack is a Marvel Legends set, not Universe.
Damn, i cant find big-time spider-man anywhere. :-[

I found one of these at Target today and remembered that people were struggling to find him. He's up for grabs at cost for anyone still looking for one.
ah thanks
did this happen in the movie? I don't believe I ever saw the 2nd one. Still meaning to getting around to it.
a bunch of these on sale at amazon right now - looks like the newest wave too:
http://www.amazon.com/Marvel-Classic-Legends-Figure-X-Mutants/dp/B008FTFB0W?t=slicinc-20&tag=slicinc-20
these are still pretty cheap imo - http://www.amazon.com/Marvel-Classic-Legends-Figure-X-Mutants/dp/B008FTFB0W/ref=pd_rhf_sc_s_cp_5
I would be all over some/most of these at this price if I collected in this scale.

Nothing that I have heard. Same with the final wave of Iron Man figures.
Movie Mandarin, Pepper Potts in Iron Man armor, and I forget the third one.

War Machine
This probably isn't the place for it, but do any of you ML collectors here happen to need the torso/legs and tail pieces for the Rocket Raccoon BAF? I only wanted the Jean Grey figure, and figured I'd pass the BAF parts along in case anyone here might need them and didn't want or need Jean. Just PM me if you're interested in the RR parts.
All-New X-Men 5 Pack, coming to TRU in February ($85). Kind of cool, even if you aren't into the current comics, it is a nice set of the original X-Men as well:
http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=252&itemid=16925 (http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=252&itemid=16925)
Looks like there may be an (as of yet) unannounced wave of Legends on the way, with an X-Men theme:
http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=252&itemid=17506 (http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=252&itemid=17506)
The scan shows Stryfe, Magneto, Cyclops (Marvel NOW), Storm (Marvel NOW) and an unmasked Wolverine, with a Build a Figure Jubilee (which was shown earlier with a different wave, that was never released).
This post actually made me realize that there's no figure line based on the upcoming X-Men movie. That's actually something of a big deal.

I just hope this doesn't avalanche into me buying a bunch of the 6 inch Star Wars stuff.
Seems like the Target 3 pack is starting to hit stores. I'll check tmrw when I get to work to see if there are any in the area or atleast a set date.

Who is in the 3-pack?

Found the new Avengers series at WM tonight. I picked up the Witch, since the Toy Biz one was awful, but they all looked great. Thor looks really neat, and I might end up building Odin.
Cedar Falls, IA. Specifically, Wal-Mart. They must be early on their reset, since I never find these early.
Thanks! I am seeing the Ant-Man wave all over, but no new Spidey yet. There's no one in that wave that I'm interested in buying.
I would want them all but I went with Angela.

Wolf Cap (Red Onslaught wave) are showing up at Targets in Minnesota now.
Justin, any sightings of the Spidey wave (Absorbing man)? I have not seen a trace of this wave anywhere.
I haven't seen them anywhere on the West side...
Stopped at TRU over lunch and found they have all Avengers/Marvel figures buy one get one 40% off. When they rang up, the cashier was confused about some Marvel promotion that popped up. I looked it up online and there is supposed to be a $10 Civil War gift card if you spend at least $30. So I went back in to check. The manager said there was some problem with the cards, so they offered me 10% off my purchase. She rerang my receipt and gave me 20% off! So, I scored two Legends figures for $26. Happy May the 4th!
Found, and bought, the Civil War 3 pack featuring Spider-Man and battle damaged Iron Man and Captain America (with masked and unmasked heads). The paint apps are fantastic! It was pricey at $60 but I recently found an old gift card from Christmas that had about $20 on it, so I got it for a steal.

Actually, since my last post, Enchantress has been added to this wave, so that's my mistake. I think that the figures are evenly packed, although I'm not sure on that.
Check out the upcoming Marvel Legends wave for Thor - Raganarok (http://io9.gizmodo.com/building-this-massive-gladiator-hulk-totally-justifies-1796450701), complete with a Gladiator Hulk B-A-F.
Echoing McMetal's earlier post, but is anyone finding the Walgreens Mr. Fantastic yet?
I have checked out a few Walgreens here and there, but no sign of Mr Fantastic in Minneapolis just yet.
FYI if you missed it - many former TRU exclusives (Vison/Scarlett Witch (https://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HSE2118&id=JE-405087801), Ant-Man/Stinger (https://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HSE2115&id=JE-405087801), Hydra Dude 2-Pack (https://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HSC3993&id=JE-405087801)) are going back up for pre-order at on-line shops like EE, BBTS, etc today.
I think an eBay and Google search answered my question but has there ever been an Ebony Maw figure made before?
When is The Thing slated to be released?
Just out of curiosity, for those of you who actively collect Legends, do you display all (or most) of them? I've always had some packed away but have been considering even more as I redo our office display a bit. It is difficult, because I think most to all of them (especially these days) look great, but it is just so much. I was listening to a podcast this week where they did a bit of a retrospective on the Legends line, and they said that since 2002 we have seen roughly 850 figures. Sheesh! I don't have them all, but definitely well over half.
I've noticed that a lot of the people who used to collect and post here may have dropped out of this line, and maybe this is the reason why. Just so much to manage, as beautiful as they are. What do you do with your Legends, display or no?
Picked up the Silver Surfer at Walgreens over lunch! They had three on the shelves.
Incredible figure! So happy for this one! ;D
Ok, so The Thing is hitting now. :D
Gonna go ahead and ask now if someone could please post the WIC/UPC # if they have been lucky enough to find this.
I am planning to hit 12 different Walgreens stores at lunch today to find him and Veers, but I am not overly optimistic. This is my most wanted Marvel figure EVER!
Picked up the "First 10 Years" Red Skull for $5 at Walmart. Felt like a great pickup at that price.
Target is clearancing out the Deadpool wave of 6" figures, so I picked up Deathlok as I've always liked the character. Contemplated trying to build Sasquatch and then dump the unwanted figures but that would have been pure folly on my part. I'll never find a Cable or X-Force Deadpool now to complete the figure, and you can't even give those other figures away on eBay.

I might have the Deadpool BAF piece if you want to trade. Might have Cable too - I can't remember who I kept from that wave.
Quite a showing at TF this weekend!
Nightcrawler looked great. Nice to see them finally do Peggy Carter too.
The two things I was most interested to see were sadly the most disappointing. Nighthawk looked awful I thought, and I don't know what kind of crazy ass Dr Doom that was, but I was really hoping for the classic version to go with the FF and Surfer.
Is that a Doombot? I don't follow the FF that much. I will definitely grab a share of these and I like some of the ideas, but a little overwhelmed with how many 6" figures they're making for Marvel. Do we really need a Luis from Ant Man or 4 versions of Captain Marvel? Seemed a little over the top. I also don't love that they're remaking so many classic figures. Part me wants the new Hulk, Thor, Spider Woman, Scarlet Witch...but I already have versions of those figures that I don't have room to display. These new ones make some of my old stuff obsolete. I'm going to be very choosy with these - if they aren't an upgrade to replace my current versions on display, then I'll pass.
Not sure if anyone is looking, but while at WM looking for Luke/Yoda, I noticed that our local store had (finally) gotten in some of the “worthy” Captain America figures from Endgame. I had never seen one in the wild (and bought one on eBay), and they even rang up for $16.82. Might be worth taking another look if you are interested, an outstanding figure.
Hasbro guys love them some X-Men and Spider-Man.
As long as they are in the BAF reissuing mood, how about Annihilus?
Was there really a HasLab Sentinel announced or were people just joking about that on the comments thread?
90s Spider-Man TAS Marvel Legends Mysterio! (https://www.entertainmentearth.com/product/HSE9637)
I lucked out and was able to get the 2018 ML Mysterio for retail, but man, I love the colors on this one. I grew up on the 90s Spidey animated series and the ToyBiz toyline, so I went ahead and preordered.
OMG. This campaign just blew through the 7K mark, and it's going to hit 8K some time this afternoon. Hasbro hasn't even been able to post what the 8K level would be offering to backers yet.
9K mark has hit!
Found a random Iron Man 2020 on the pegs at Walgreens today, had no idea this was coming out anytime soon. It wasn’t marked as an exclusive or anything either, but also no BAF part.
I was a big fan of the Machine Man miniseries where the character first debuted, so I grabbed him immediately. Will look nice fighting MM in my Legends display!
Had to make a Walgreens run last night and wound up snagging the Walgreens exclusive Moon Knight for Former JediDefender Poster Famine. They also had a few Iron Man 2020s. Haven't been in a WG since last fall searching for the Clone Kenobis that never hit, so it was KIND of refreshing to see new stuff among the mountain of Jyn Erso and Ant Man figures
Finally found Moon Knight on Friday, and after holding him in my hands for a few minutes, ended up passing. May change my mind but so far not feeling much regret.
The 90s Retro Spider-Man case I preordered arrived today. I've only opened the Spidey figure, but it's a true work of art. Highly poseable, and the new sculpt hides a TON of articulation.
90s Spider-Man TAS Marvel Legends Mysterio! (https://www.entertainmentearth.com/product/HSE9637)
Is anyone here looking to buy some older Marvel Legends in the 6" scale? For customs or whatever. I'll provide a list if anyone is interested, just PM me.
Note there's nothing really great there I don't think, but I'm also not looking to charge an arm and a leg.
Just picked up the Retro Dr Doom off EE with Free Shipping somehow. Happy to scratch this one off the list!
I want that retro Human Torch figure badly, but not being able to use Brickseek or Popfindr anymore is a killer. I just can’t bring myself to drive around to multiple stores anymore. :(

I wasn’t sure if these deserved their own thread, but they are technically labeled as Marvel Legends on the boxes. These are the new 4”, 5 poa “retro” figures. I was able to find the first couple waves at Target recently (in addition to the Hasbro Pulse exclusives), and I really like them.
Again, very simplified figures, but comic accurate and they have amazing card backs. Kind of remind me of the current MOTU Origins in that they look and feel like toys, and remind me of childhood. Fairly reasonable at $10 each as well. Just pretty cool. Here’s who I’ve grabbed so far:
Spidey/Electro (Pulse Exclusive)
Cap/Black Panther (Pulse Exclusive)
Iron Man/Cyclops (Pulse Exclusive)
Spider-Man
Captain America
Carol Danvers (Ms. Marvel)
Hulk
Human Torch
Magneto
Daredevil
Elektra
Ice Man
Looking forward to more! Tough to know whether to open them, I usually open pretty much everything but I’m really digging how they looks on these card backs.
Finally found Sylvie from the What If wave…very nice figure. I really want to build Uatu but I don’t want the rest of those figures, may have to go the eBay route.
Another nice showing from the Legends team at PulseCon today, which is saying something considering how much they unveil on a weekly basis throughout the year. Plus they are very enjoyable guys who really seem to enjoy their brand. Cool things include an anniversary line for the beginning of Legends with all new Cap and Iron Man figures (Toad and Hulk are rumored to complete that original wave), retro carded versions of Scarlet Witch and Vision, MCU updates/re-releases of Endgame Cap, Falcon Cap, Winter Soldier, and another retro 4” wave. Plus, coolest of all, X-Men Animated Series figures that come in VHS tale style boxes. Wolverine and Jubilee are the first announced.

IIRC, the only new 4” Retro figures they showed were the Falcon and Mr Fantastic. Both looked great!
I can't find the info on the new Marvel 4" Retro wave. Who is included? I see a listing for a 2 pack with Marvel Girl and Wolverine, but that's it.

Any info on the new retro figures? I have seen something about the presentation crashing, but have seen Doctor Doom and Ghostrider with motorcycle. Surprisingly nothing really showing up with google searches on either one and definitely nothing about preorders.

Damn those Secret Wars Legends look great and I’ve been hoping for a Beyonder and Titania for years!!! Happy to see that line and hoping for a 2nd Wave
