Yeah, we got spammed pretty good this AM.  The offender was banned ASAP and most of the damage was cleaned up, but unfortunately we can't clean up the PMs.  The PMs were sent out to just about everyone with an active account it looks like, so everyone "lucked out" with that image.

We have had a huge influx of spammers creating accounts and we are looking into more security/precautions to help avoid this in the future...

My local Target last night was nuts...  three separate groups of people camping out.   :o

1 - People camping out for the Exclusive "Cities 97 CD Sampler" (promo from a local radio station) that was released today

2 - People camped out for PS3 (Friday)

3 - People camped out for Wii (Sunday)

The local CBS Sports guy (Mark Rosen) was on our local sports radio channel this AM talking up the SD/Denver game they had scheduled for CBS on Sunday afternoon and how he was looking forward to it...  I guess he didn't get "flex-schedule" memo last week.  :-X

Are we all in agreement that OJ Simpson is officially the Worst Person of All Time?

O.J. Simpson to discuss killings - "If I Did It"

So, he's going to tell us all how he would have killed Nicole Brown, the mother of his children, if he did it.  Yet another way to cash in on the act of murder.  I really, really, really, hope he rots in Hell.

A bit delayed (thanks to a corrupted mail file), but fixed now.  From the Weekly Q&A last week:

isnt Tey How a woman?

Yes, EU stuff (RPG handbook) established Tey How as female.  Another interesting Tey How note - from StarWars.com:

In Episode I, Amanda [Lucas] provided the voice of Neimoidian pilot Tey How.

Incidentally, I threw in the Ross version of Green Lantern, in case Jeff is being forced to follow along at home.  It's a great figure, but I think a bit larger than the GL series of GL figures.

I must have missed this line amongst the big posts, but yeah - I agree.  I've got that Ross GL figure and he is a bit larger than the rest of the GL figures.  Seems to be that those Ross figures are a bit on the large scale.

Scale with DC stuff is frustrating.  Most of the Hasbro/Mattel stuff ends up being closer to 6" - 6/5" scale, while the DCD stuff is closer to 7" - 7.5" scale.   ::)

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 30th Anniversary Tin Collector Set
« on: November 14, 2006, 12:17 AM »
I got my Tins in the mail today from Amazon, and I must say I am much more excited over these three tins than the prequel sets.

In the prequel sets, I only kept 5 figures: R2-R9 (new repaint), Clone Trooper (Blue repaint), Jango Fett (kit-bash), Yoda (accessory kit-bash), and AT-RT Driver (White repaint).  I ditched the other 7 because they were straight repacks (the soft goods cloaks did nothing for me).

With the OT sets, I'll end up keeping 9 figures: Sandtrooper (new head), ANH Vader (new head/torso), Snowtrooper (new head), Hoth Han (brown coat, snow deco), Hoth Luke (snow deco, no damage face), Hoth Chewie (snow deco), Scout (VTSC with new head), Endor Rebel (new head), and Endor Leia (much nicer than PLC version).

It's surprising how going from liking less than 50%of the figures in the first 3 tins to liking 75% of the figures in the next 3 tins can change your opinion on these.   ;)

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: TRU exclusive Bantha & Rancor?
« on: November 13, 2006, 11:27 AM »
Yeah, I'll agree with others in here...

When this thing was first released, in a fancy window box packaging no less, it was only $30 and managed to see clearance in a few places.  To re-release it nearly 10 years later at a 50% price increase is pretty lame.... unless it gets a significant pack-in treatment (a la the Dagobah X-wing).  For $45, it should have at least 1-2 Tuskens and a little Tusken tent or something.
