So weird to see this figure selected. I forgot all about that repaint fiasco where they messed up the deco on the first try, promised to correct it and then only released the "fixed" version outside the USA. Better late than never, I guess.

I was surprised by this one, too. And it’s odd seeing Hasbro trying to make good on releasing this some 5+ years after the original release. But man, does that trooper have a serious case of RBF!

So I've finally received mine and was able to compare him to the Coruscant Landing Platform Clone trooper which is the closest figure to this one in comparison.
First off, no backpack antenna and a removable helmet. BTW, this removable helmet is pretty solid. Although this makes the newer version just a bit taller.
Paint apps are a little different too. On the Legacy collection figure, the rank on the chest are five dots whereas the TVC figure has four hash marks also the markings on the forearm for the Legacy figure are five squares and the TVC figure are more rectangular. Also the accent stripes on the biceps, forearms and thighs are thicker on TVC figure and the grey on the shoulders, hand guards and shins have a more weathered look. They also used a brown for the soles of the boots as opposed to great like his been walking out in dirt.
The sculpt is quite different as well. The TVC figure looks thinner, especially in the chest and thighs. They also updated the shoulder joints to better hide them.
Overall I really like the new figure, but I will have to display them in a way that they are separated from my Legacy figures a bit to try and mask the changes....these are supposed to be clones afterall!

No, I got mine at BBTS. I believe Dorkside has them as well.

It is a "shared fan exclusive" so not at big retail like Target or Walmart, but maybe someplace like GameStop will eventually have them.
