Star Wars Line-Athon to Benefit Rupert’s Kids
It’s like a marathon, only with a lot more standing and waiting! Starting on Sunday, May 15th, the Indy Knights, Indiana’s Star Wars fan club, along with the Bloodfin Garrison, Indiana’s Star Wars Imperial costuming club, will be teaming up with Rupert’s Kids to line up for the premiere of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, on May 19th. For 75+ hours, we will camp out in front of the Greenwood AMC Park 14 to raise money for Rupert’s Kids. The lineup is just like a marathon: participants are seeking out pledges for their participation, either per hour, or a one-time donation. Rupert’s Kids will have one staff member lining up to help raise money, and we would appreciate it if you would sponsor him! If you would like to make an hourly pledge, or a one time donation, please email us at donations@rupertskids.org with “Star Wars Lineup Pledge” in the subject line.

Here are just a few examples of possible donations:
One time amount: Any
$.10 per hour, 75 hours: $7.50
$.50 per hour, 75 hours: $37.50
$1.00 per hour, 75 hours: $75.00
$10.00 per hour, 75 hours: $750.00

Please try to email us your pledges by May 13th. After the event is finished, we will email you with the total hours Rupert’s Kids participated in, and directions on how and where to send your donation.

In appreciation for your sponsorship, each individual will receive an autographed photo from Rupert, and your name will be listed on a special area of our webpage.

Make sure to stop by the Greenwood AMC Park 14 Theater on the evening of May 19th for the film’s premiere! Special guests will be in attendance, and you will also have the chance to enter drawings for cool Star Wars prizes, as well as a special event with Rupert himself! The theater is located behind Greenwood Park Mall,  just south of Indianapolis :

Jedi costumes?!

No stormie outfits! :P

None confirmed anyway. I heard a lot of rumors from people that Vader and Stormie armour were in the works: each would come as full armour sans helmet, which you can buy seperately (and MR is definitely making the Vader and Stormie helmets)

Same thing I was thinking...  Well done Beth!  ;)  Speaking of which, did anyone see Bail Ling on Sunday?  :o  Oh... my... god...  Some serious advertising for her upcoming Playboy pictorial.  I'm surprised she was allowed in the autograph hall at all that day.  Looked like they made her "cover up" later in the day though.

And where are the pictures damnit? :)

Ok, so who wants free Attacktix? Yes, free, no frills, just take em! I got a few of these, and promptly got burnt out. I just can't get in to them. I've got about 12-15, they are free for the taking. First person to reply to this post can have em. I'll ship em to you sometime this week.

"It was only at that moment did Matt realize that it was actually Chris Berry who masterminded the elaborate plot in an effort to bring new members to Jedi Defender. Heartbroken and feeling betrayed, Matt would later move on to exclusively join Galactic Hunter, where he felt safe and loved."

Check out the Captions thread for a nice group shot.

So when exactly did JediMAC aka Alice become the Jedi Defender super stud? I must have been gone when those pills got slipped into the drinks...

Come one, come all to hear the wonderful news: In 2006, we will finally see replica props from the second coolest trilogy of all time: INDIANA FREAKING JONES! That's right kiddies, soften up em wallets, cuz Indy Jones is in da hiz-ouse. Or is that Jay and Silent Bob?

Anyhoo, he's folks it's true: we'll be getting a Fertility Idol, Staff of Ra Headpiece and the best item of all: the Grail Diary!

Later this year we'll also be getting some wicked fresh Chronicles of Narnia props. And, coming soon: a Rocketeer helmet and a studio scale Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

If Star Wars is you're only passion, then you'll be happy to know that we'll be getting costume replicas from MR, starting with Anakin and Obi Wan from ROTS. From the rumblings I've heard these will be complete: boots, belt, the whole kit-n-kaboodle.

... although, there was one JD guy who did see under that shirt...

Hey, now...  I didn't see "under" the shirt, technically.  You lifted it up and flashed us from the street!  ;)

Sorry I wasn't yet hammered enough to return the favor though...  :P

Welcome back Alice!  ;D
