Some very sweet jedi there my friend. My favorite is Hagen Daas. He's just so unique among all of the jedi. I wonder what his story is. Aalya leg armor looks great on her as does the skirt. I think I've seen the jedi clones before. Maybe it was just the idea of them someone else did. They do look familure thru. Great job Chewie! I'm glad to hear the computer is back up and running. Does it seem faster now?

Thanks Ripley, I'll take whatever you can spare.

Ok, i just finished a marathon weekend getting JLU stuff done for custom con.
5 figures in 2 and a half days.

I'm gonna take a few days off and then take a shot at Rykrof.
Hopefully i'll have something to show by the weekend.
March is an extreemly busy month for me (family wise)
So i hope it get some time to work on it here and there.

Phruby, simple and very effective version of Rykrof.  Now that you are getting into casting, try making a removable helmet for him.
Starkid, this may be one of the first customs i've seen you post. Sorry if i've missed your others. Very nice addition to the group project

Jeff, next month or so we are going to all be reading the back of our toy mags, and see the price of these Bearded Endor troopers has jumped!

Thanks Greg. The helmet is on my list.

I'm trying to get my GP and MCC done early this month so I can work on my Micromen figures. My fan fic alien is done. I read somewhere that you couldn't use a star wars head for this figure. It had to be something completely different. Well this is what I came up with.

His name is Ragu and is from the planet Anime. People from his planet are typically short with large heads, blue or green or purple hair and sometimes have eyes that take up two-thirds of their head. They are known for making extreme facial expressions to express emotion.

Ragu lost his arm thru a short lived experiment with the dark side of the force. He was trying to resurrect his dead wife thru a technique he found on a remote abandoned Sith fortress. He has since brought himself back from the dark side but still searches for a way to become whole again.

His only force ability is to throw force lightening. This is a fairly common ability among most Anime. Some are even good enough to compact it into a lightening ball.

Yah, watch it go up in price. Get it while the getting is good.

That's the technique I use now for curing sculpty. I microwave a cup of water for three minutes and then put the figure in the boiling water for at least five minutes. It works great and I never have a melted mess.

If I can't find some brown cloth or leather, I'll sculpt it. Cloth would work better over the jointed arm.

Group Project XI - The Rykrof Project. March 2006.

This project is based on a fan fic character created by our own Chewie. Chewie has made lots of photonovels base on this character. His character Rykrof Enloe has become so popular that some people refer to the bearded Endor Tropper as Rykrof Enloe. Check out Toyrocket.com search engine and see what comes up.

Group Projects X - Clone Wars TV Series - January/February 2006

The idea behind this one is to make a character based on a character in the Clone Wars cartoon. The only catch was it can't be a clone. Here is what we came up with:

Because of a suggestion by Darth_Ennis, I've started this thread to collect past Group Project entries. Group Projects are something I started over at RebelScum a few years ago. It has moved from FFURG and now to here. So far we have had twelve projects over two years.

The idea behind the group project is that we all create the same character based on any reference pictures we can find. We discuss parts to use and customizing techniques. We are suppost to post work in progress pictures of the character.

In this thread, I'm going to start off with Group Project 9 which was based completely here at JD. You can check out Group Projects 1-8 over at FFURG on this page: http://www.ffurg.com/casting_call/cc-48.htm

Here is a listing of past Group Projects:

Group Project 1: Biggs Darklighter in Imperial Academy Uniform
Group Project 2: Adult Clonetrooper in Kamino Training Gear / Queen Amidala's Handmaidens
Group Project 3: ANH Infinities Leia Organa / Kenny Baker as R2-D2
Group Project 4: KOTOR Mission Vao and Carth
Group Project 5: Crossovers (Muppets, Lunney Tunes, Peanuts, Simpsons, etc.)
Group Project 6: Santa Wookiees
Group Project 7: Mon Calamari Dancer and Fem-bot
Group Project 8: Snoova and Jedi Defender self customs
Group Project 9: Tonnika Sisters
Group Project 10: Clone Wars TV Series (minus the clones)
Group Project 11: Rykrof Enloe
Group Project 12: Ysanne Isard and Admiral Daala
Group Project 13: Jango Fett

That actually is a great idea. You should do a snowbunny Padme using the Microlady body. A cloth cape would be a definate must for that kind of project.

Jason (CoranHorn) over at FFURG use to collect them and put them in the Group Projects casting call page. Since these last two group projects haven't originated over there, these haven't been added to the casting call.

The reason we haven't had a group project over there is because of the low participation rate when compared to projects here.

Maybe I should start a sticky thread here as a place to show these off.
