Hasbro loves you.

Honestly, I'd appreciate some more "love" if they truly love me. I have yet to see the final five Saga Legends figures in the wild.

I can't seem to even happen upon a MOC Battle Damaged Darth Vader or Rahm Kota.

I would have preferred the Clone Wars cartoon figures be done in a "realistic" style to maintain overall 3.75" line cohesion.

So while they may love the fact that I get four of each trooper/droid/army builder, they kick me in the nuts every other chance they can get.  :-\

Got my order yesterday.

Nice enough set. Wouldn't mind it if Hasbro kept using this tube packaging for exclusives, I ordered five of them (four to open) and they all arrived in mint condition which is RARE for a SWS order. So in terms of durability, the tube packaging is great.

I wish they had just used the regular Clone Commander sculpt for the Shadow Trooper Commander figure - the chin of the Jango head is even more prominent when the armor is black, so for the one set I've opened and put on dispay, the Commander is holding his helmet. Oh well.

Otherwise, I think it's a great set. I can totally get behind exclusives like this, 100% repaint so if I get it great, if not, I'm not going to worry about it. I do like that Hasbro and StarWarsShop or HasbroToyShop have been making a better effort to make these convention exclusives available online.

But what motivation do the Separatists have for attacking the Larses? I don't think they even know Anakin has any connection.

If it's from the new film, more likely it has to do with Jabba's henchmen.

Actually, if you believe in the possibility that Count Dooku was the driving force behind the Tusken Raiders kidnapping Shmi Skywalker-Lars then there is a chance that Dooku actually knows the significance for the Lars family to Anakin - even if it's just from Darth Sidious instructing Dooku to arrange for Tusken Raiders to kidnap and torture a woman on Tatooine named Shmi Skywalker - when Dooku's operatives find out where she is, for all Dooku knows, Cliegg is Anakin's father and Owen is Anakin's brother. Dooku might be going to Tatooine to outright kill what he perceives is the rest of Anakin's family.

I have two guesses for this set:

1) ANH - Either a Dewback and 2 Sandtroopers or Luke and the updated Sandspeeder, the main dome structure with fire damage and two skeletons.

or

2) All new sculpts to support the short story in the Visionaries TPB.

The Legacy Collection / Re: TLC Millenium Falcon Upgrade

Well for me, it's the AT-TE as well. As much as I love the Falcon and the new features that this version has, the AT-TE is a vehicle I don't have in a scale for my 3.75" figures yet.

Also, I'm still convinced that the original prediction of a July release for the Falcon is off. Either that or SOMEHOW Hasbro has convinced stores like TRU (if the recent Rebelscum report is to be believed) to commit to a space for the Falcon from July through the Christmas season. That seems like an awfully long time.

Although, now that I write this, it almost makes sense, perhaps the reason WHY Hasbro was willing to do the big vehicles is because the box stores ARE willing to devote the shelf space to them for an extended period of time, extending the selling opportunity window.

Secret Wars makes more sense.

Don't they already have most of the tooling?

Well if it's Secret Wars then yes, the only nostalgia would be that it came with reprints of the old Marvel comic with possibly repaints of existing Marvel Legends characters.

I'm not sure when the series of comic books came out, but since I remember reading it in either 5th or 6th grade (which for me is '83 and '84) I wonder if they have something planned for a 25th Anniversary Tribute to the Secret Wars comic series. It was a great series, it was the first big Marvel heroes/villians cross over series that I was ever familiar with, featuring characters from the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Iron Man, Hulk & Spiderman books all facing off on an alien world if I remember right. I'm pretty sure it's also the first appearance of the Black Suited Spiderman.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Holographic General Grievous?

I wonder if they're going to start taking the approach that they did with the Iron Man figures.

Target (and I think TRU) has an Exclusive Iron Man figure, but it's packaged in a manner identical to the regular line and the only way you can really tell that it's an exclusive is that it has a sticker on it that reads "Only at Target". I wonder if for the Clone Wars, there will be exclusive figures to the big box stores and they'll just get mixed in with the regular assortments, this Holo Grievous being the TRU one.

Ooh, now there's an idea. But the Big H and LFL probably wouldn't like it as the collector/fan base would surely be dwindled... and then it'd have to be resurrected with the Rule of Two.  :D

How would that work? One to have the toys and the other to crave them?  ;)

If they do indeed introduce a new scale, I'll be okay with that since I can pass due to the scale change.

However, what if the "SW" in the item doesn't refer to "Star Wars" but instead "Secret Wars" - there was a Marvel Secret Wars toy line back in the 80s and a Secret Wars limited comic book series (10 issues I think, maybe more) - what if they are going to release the same number of two-packs as there were issues of the series and have the Marvel Legends equivalent of the Star Wars/GI Joe Comic 2-packs?

Just a thought...

Maybe they 'fell' off the truck.

No, they have them, sorry, I forgot to mention that I ran the DPCI #s for all three and they are in-stock in the back.

My local Target still has not put these out (nor have they put out their Joe and TF exclusives).  They have them in the back, but they aren't willing to sell them for some reason.

Ok that's just not right.  I'd go to talk to management and point out the "street date"  I still have a Target or two where I live who are reluctant to put the endcap up, but there's plenty of other stores that have them well stocked up front.

I'm in the DC area for training and to see my folks and I went to the Target by their house. This store too hasn't put out the Order 66 stuff or the GI Joe exclusives or the Transformers. I found this very odd.

WTF did this come from?

I do not get all the secrecy from Hasbro lately.......

Neither do I.

I am pretty damn excited by these shots on GH.

I don't mind spending $150 on this. This isn't the Falcon you suspend from the ceiling with spare figures in it (do that with the POTF2 release!) - this is the Falcon you leave out on display with your VOTC figures in it.  ;D

I'm kinda confused with the smaller ship that's hidden inside the Falcon. I can't imagine that it cost them less to develop this ship than it would have to develop another compartment for the figures to reside in. I guess this is Hasbro throwing a bone to the kids who will use it as a "base" and then go on "adventures" with the smaller ship.

I am surprised that they are going to have this on the shelves at the same time as the AT-TE. Seems like a big gamble Hasbro is taking here. I can't help but think that sales would have been better on both if they had staggered them by 6 months.

Seems kinda weird that they said NOTHING about this at Toy Fair. Perhaps that's just me.

You should have grabbed 2 more figures, divided the order into 2, and used 2 coupons!!

It's crafty, and you get 2 free figures.

 :)

I know, I know - I thought about it - the only problem was that there wasn't anything they had that I wanted. If they had brought out a case with multiples of the TFU troopers, I would have.
