Who would you rather be more like, 'do wise?
Billy Corgan, or Steve Martin?

If I get "old" and I still have hair, I don't mind if it goes gray.
If I get "old" and I start to lose it however, I'll gladly surrender and shave it all off rather then suffer through a comb-over or another "look at me, I'm going bald" hairdo. All or nothing on the baldness thing for me...
-
I'm headed towards Steve Martin, myself.
Grey hair at 19 years old is rediculous.

I'm shooting for a mix. I've always had a high forehead/widow's peak. I was teased about being bald in 7th and 8th grade. But, I don't think I've really lost any inches up top since then. However, I've started to detect some silver on the sides of my head. Could just be really blonde hair but I don't think so
So, call me Al Lewis

Distinguished grey streaks on the sides would be nice... It'd make me look important.

Or Paulie Walnuts from The Sopranos

Your image isn't showing, but I know Paulie Walnuts all too well... Love the Sopranoes.
I'd take that hair... You see that hair coming and yeah you want to laugh, but at the same time you bite your tongue and realize that whoever has that mop attached to his head is also capable of beating anyone to death with a ballbat and stuffing them in the trunk of his gaudy Cadillac.

I am of the exact same mindset.
I've got a little grey patch just above my forehead (think Bonnie Raitt). I wouldn't mind going totally grey--not that I would enjoy it, mind you, but I would certainly prefer it over going bald.
And if the day ever comes where I'm starting to lose it, I'm like you--it's all gone. I've shaved my head bald--totally bald, like smooth, Kojak bald--several times over the years, so I wouldn't have a problem with doing it permanently, I don't think.
-
My hair line's not where it used to be but I still have a full head of hair... I cling to it. I'd dread going bald as I have an oblong head I think. I would dig having this much hair when I die... I don't care what color it is so long as it's a natural color. I fear bald.
-
If I had to be both bald and grey, I'd want to be like this guy:

Grey hair at 19 years old is rediculous.
It might also be ridiculous as well.
As for me, I'm opting for the Dorian Grey approach myself.
-
I'd prefer gray, but I don't care much one way or the other. If I start to go bald I'm just gonna buzz it all off.

Don't worry he does that all the time. ;)
I think I'm unfortunately headed down the bald route myself, I've got a little bit of a receding hair line, it has been in the same spot for quite some time though, so I think I've got some time. I've been a skinhead (minus the normal skinhead "attitude" of course) before so I guess I could go down that road again, because I have no intention of ever using te comb over.
I guess there is always http://www.bosley.com/ ::)
-
I'll go gray long before I go bald.
I have the hair genes of my mother's side. My grandfather passed away at 80 with a full head of hair, and not all of it was gray.
However, I'm a blonde, so I'll go gray quickly, when it starts to happen.
-
I've had baby thin hair all my life which in itself sucks, but I had some long locks back in high school that I was quite proud of even if it was thin. I also was told by many that I'd be bald by 18.
Well it's been 10 years and I still have most of my hair, though it continues to thin (on the top only) and the years of stress I put on my body has caused quite a bit of grey to sprout up (on the sides only).
So I'm just waiting till it thins out a bit more to go with the que ball look.
-
Since I have long locks myself, I think I'll go with gray

A man need look only as far as his maternal grandfather to get a good idea of his hair future. Genetically speaking -- if your mom's father was bald/prematurely grey chances are pretty good you will be too. As a woman, I think the key is for you guys to wear it with confidence. I like the attitude a lot of you guys have shown in that you won't mess around with comb-overs and the Micheal Bolton bald on top, long on bottom dumbassness ::) Baldness can be very sexy -- so can a head full of grey on a younger man. Look at Anderson Cooper -- he's one of the hottest things going right now :) Confidence is sexy -- not hair -- or lack thereof! ;)

My Mother's Dad(grandfather) was balding in his early 20's, by his 60's he had a slick back few hairs that were white and when the wind blew there was a few 6 inch white strands wisping up there. So I guess you could call it a 'comb back' not 'comb over'. I'm really in no danger of losing my hair(although my kids WILL be hitting their teens soon) but have plenty of silvery/white right now-And I'm way past the point my grandfather got hit with his hair loss. Wouldn't mind a full head of silver/white at all :).
This is why I never believed in the " you follow your maternal grandfather side for hair loss" BS-which is exactly what that is ...ole wive's tale BS. ::) Heard many doctors say that "isn't an exact science"--IMO it isn't exact science?then it isn't fact!
I certainly don't look at whether I have hair or if I'm confident in my hair to be a factor of what is sexy-Inward, I don't care what's sexy-I don't TRY to impress anyone. Outward, I do look at other things and deem them "attractive/unattractive". Impressing others?...beyond it.
"what's sexy/not sexy" ..how you should feel 'confidence' is good info for someone in their early 20's. Don't get me wrong I'd still like to get some but I'm not some "walking hard-on hormone person" like I was in my early 20's. I'm quite beyond that now and don't require any "tips" ::)

What in the world gave you the impression that I was talking to you? ::) I would never dream of giving you any "tips" -- you obviously don't need them -- what with all of your charm and winning ways :P

Back to the topic. . . .
I think when I grow old I'm going to let my silvery hair grow out long and straight like an exiled Shaolin master from old martial arts movies ;)
...or could that be like my postman :-\ ?

Bald or bust baby!

You used a cleanser to shave your head? What'd you do, dissolve it all away?
-
I'd chose bald. Then I could substitute shampoo for Turtle Wax.

;D ;D ;D
I know, I know...I shouldn't be laughing my ass off here and encourage him more, Jesse, but I just can't help it. ;D

It was a side effect. I didn't have a brush and needed to clean the toilet bowl.
BTW, thanks for nothing, Beth. >:( ;)
-
It looks pretty good Jesse -- but what the hell is that thing sticking out of your right ear? ;)

I don't like to talk about it. I'm very self conscious about my TV antenna birth defect.

The Aurra Sing experiment gone horribly wrong.
I'd bet it'd win first place in the Rebelscum Halloween Costume Contest. ;)

I've noticed one or two grey hairs lately. I blame my recent wedding. ;D
I know that if I start losing my hair, I'm going to shave it close. Those guys that try to hide being bald with hats or combovers are just silly. I'd rather just embrace it and go 100% cueball.
-
Well, I am going bald, at the ripe old age of 30 mind you. So I keep my hair short, usually a #1 buzz. Not really greying yet, but I'm sure it's coming.
-
I've got plenty of greys, especially along the sides. Many are from my wife. Many are from my children. Most are from my students.
I was surprised when I grew a beard about a year and a half ago just how much grey was in it. Lots of wee white whiskers poking through along my chinny chin chin.
Oh. .. and it would appear that I'm getting a fair bald spot on the crown of my head. Nice.
-
My hair has thinned and receded. I'm too self-conscious and insecure to NOT shave my head.
I noticed that most of my (male) friends my age, with full head and shaved, are graying. I guess it's some consolation that whatever hair I have still has full pigmentation. :-\

My pastor had a funny story in his one sermon about how he had no clue he'd had a bald spot. The man's been our pastor for years and he's had the bald spot as long as I can imagine.
Anyway, he said in his story how he had just found out a week or two before when his sister was out from New Jersey to visit him, and she said, "Oh my Ed your bald spot has grown a bit since I saw you last"...
How's that for letting you know you had one in the first place. That's just funny.
BTW if God's listening, please don't make me go bald now... Guys, check the traffic, is Greg(g) on?

I'm bummed about that too Bill, and I really hope Stern does some kind of tribute to him Monday because Al Lewis was a HUGE part of the Stern show for years. I know he considered him a friend and was sad he couldn't make it to the farewell K-Rock show due to his health.
The guy was a riot on Stern though, very funny.
