So let the wishful thinking begin... Target is listing "Order 66 2-packs" as per our news story on the front page... So what could these be?
This is the kind of thing that I think could really be neat. The product info is 087-06-0884 - Order 66 2-pack - Price $12.99, and $12.99 seems just right as well for two figures, but what figures are we talking about here? I mean I wouldn't mind a crack at Bly again with the right paintjob, or could we finally see an accurate Gree with a Yoda figure?
I'm kinda "in" on those despite repacked Jedi snuck in. Though I do think these could be cooler than I'm imagining.
But what else could these be? Maybe I'm not being very imaginative in thinking of it being Jedi & Clones...
Thoughts(s)?
-
thats a great idea.....and instead of stupid action moves, they have a button to make the jedi fall over dead. lol but really great idea, can't believe they diden't do this instead of "greatest hits" (repack collection all time low). defently worth atleast 6.99, well by 97' price standards....
-
It's the right idea, but it'll probably be ruined but us getting one cool unique figure and one straight repack.
-
As long as they're coming to Target, I could care less what figures are included. It's bound to be clone/Jedi and clone two packs IMO. I'm just glad this is an exclusive that's not going to Wal-Mart.
-
I'm guess both are repacks...
Ki-Adi Mundi / Commander Bacara
Anakin / SA 501st
Aayla Secura / Commander Bly
Obi-Wan / Commander Cody
Plo Koon / ARC Pilot?
more?
-
It will be interesting to see what these are. There is a lot of potential here, but we might be seeing repacks once again. I'm thinking at least one of the two will be repacked either way. I think the Jedi/Clone setup sounds reasonable too. To be honest, even though we've seen plenty of them, the majority of both the Jedi and clones from the ROTS line were pretty well done - and if we didn't already have them, they could make pretty good 2 packs.
ROTS Ki Adi/30th Galactic Marine
ROTS Pilot Obi/Commander Cody
ROTS Yoda/ROTS (or new) Gree and/or BARC Trooper
ROTS Plo Koon/ROTS Clone Pilot
ROTS Aayla/ROTS Bly
Basically a few ideas that people have already suggested - but it might be a way to keep ROTS figures out there (like Hasbro seems to want to do) without having so many H/V and Greatest Battle assortments. Overall, the kiddos (and collectors) want clones and Jedi, so this might be a good opportunity. We'll see.
-
I hope these aren't Tatget Exclusives.
Plo Koon & Clone Pilot repaint as Captain Jag
New Stass Allie & Commander Neyo
-
We don't really know yet if they are Target exclusives or not. The Battle Packs most likely are (since they have unique DPCIs separate from the main DPCI #), but these may well be available everywhere.
Hopefully we get a bit more info soon because these could either be very cool w/1-2 new figures (Stass/Neyo, Yoda/Gree) or they could suck with 2-repacks (Anakin/Appo, Obi-Wan/Cody, Ki-Adi/Bacara, Aayla/Bly). :-\
-
Commander Faie/Quinlan Vos.
-
Figures you already have sans the uber cool packaging.
-
I hope these aren't Tatget Exclusives.
Why not? Because they'd be too easy to find?
-
Not for me, seeing how there's no Targets in my area.
-
I hope these aren't Tatget Exclusives.
Why not? Because they'd be too easy to find?
No, because they'd be impossible to find, and it would also mean you couldn't get them cheaper at Wally like everything else.
-
Ki- Adi Mundi (ROTS re-pack) / Commander Bacara (New,SA)
Stass Alie (New,SA) / Commander Neyo (New,SA)
Plo Koon (ROTS re-hash w/ New Hands) / Captain Jag (ROTS Pilot re-paint)
Yoda (Tin re-pack) / Commander Gree (New,SA)
Obi-Wan Kenobi (ROTS Pilot re-pack) / Commander Cody (TSC Holo re-paint)
501st Trooper (TSC re-pack) / Jedi Knight
Anakin Skywalker (Evo re-paint w/ Sith Eyes) / Jedi Knight
Luminara Unduli (ROTS re-pack) / Kashyyk Trooper (TSC re-pack)
-
IMO Bacara doesn't need a new sculpting. My ideas for Order 66 2-packs:
Infiltration Of Mygeeto
ROTS Commander Bacara & 30AC Galactic Marine
Massacre On Coruscant
SA 501st Clone Trooper (Repaint Of ROTS #41) & ROTS Zett Jukassa
Despair On Utapau
30AC Utapau Airborne SquadTrooper & NEW Tion Medon's Aide w/ Imperial Binders
Sabotage At Kashyyyk
VOTC Yoda w/ Lightsaber & ROTS Commander Gree
Purge In The Skies
ROTS Plo Koon & Clone Officer Jag (Repaint Of ROTS #34)
-
Yes he does, atleast get rid of the gay action feature.
Oh yeah, why don't you just remove the pauldron off of TSC Appo? What is it gonna kill you why you type on the computer!? >:(
;)

I don't understand your logic Starwax. Every single Target exclusive has been easy to aquire across the country, yet there's flaws in WM's distribution which leaves certain markets devoid of their exclusives. Rune Haako - It must suck with no Target in your area, but here in MN there's almost practically a WM and a Target across the street from each other no matter where you go. Especially in the Twin Cities...WM Sucks ASS out here w exclusive stuff. I CAN NEVER FIND THEM HERE.
I'll stop my rant as this has nothing to do with the thread, but I just thought I'd bitch about the problems we have out here.
-
Here's what would be nice:
-New SA Commander Bacara and 2007 Galactic Marine
-New SA Commander Neyo and New SA Stass Allie
-Correctly Painted SA Commander Bly and New SA Barris Offee
-New SA Commander Gree and SA Kashyyyk Clone Trooper
-Evolutions ROTS Anakin and SA 501st Clone Trooper
Here's what we'll probably get:
-2005 ROTS Commander Bacara and 2002 Saga Ki-Adi Mundi
-2005 ROTS Stass Allie and 2005 ROTS Target Clone Trooper
-2005 ROTS Aayla Secura and 2005 ROTS Commander Bly (wrong paint job)
-2005 ROTS Commander Gree and 2005 ROTS Yoda #1
-2005 ROTS Anakin #1 and 2005 Tactical Ops Trooper
-1999 POTF2 Cantina Han and 1999 POTF2 Cantina Han with Clone Helmet
-

Well, it sounds to me like we just have two very different situations. Out here the closest Target to me is a 20 minute drive and even though I do make the trip every week or so, their exclusives never seem to show up, but Wally's are always available in abundance and eventually clearanced out, both here in town and at other nearby Wally's I check.
-
Here's what we'll probably get:
-2005 ROTS Commander Bacara
The ROTS Bacara is a great figure. Besides, I doubt we'll ever see a resculpt anytime soon, considering it's a very minor character from a recent film...
-
Clones sell. Especally SA clones.
-
Bacara's one of the weaker Clone figures ever made to me... I'd disagree he doesn't need at least a little kitbashing going on. A #6 Clone Trooper body with Bacara parts on it would be "acceptable" in my book, but any Clone that can't bend its knees needs a bit of reworking to me so I have to disagree on that one. :) Scorch included in my rant.

Bacara would be an easy one to remedy with current parts available. I kit-bashed myself one from a #41 Clone, Bacara Helmet and Pauldron, but I also fashioned a soft kama - something well within the abilities of Big H's designers.

-
Great Custom jedijaybird :) I now going to do one.
Order 66 2 - packs (this is my theory what hasbro is going to do Clone Commanders vs. Jedi)
# 1 - Order 66 at Mygeeto
Commander Bacara vs. Ki-Adi-Mundi
# 2 - Order 66 at Utapau
Commander Cody vs. Obi-Wan
# 3 Order 66 at Kashyyyk
Commander Gree vs. Yoda
# 4 Order 66 at The Jedi Temple
501st Trooper (#41 Version) & Darth Vader
-
Ya, I'd really like an SA Neyo. its long overdue and an SA Stass the deluxe Stass SUCKED! ;D

So, in order to get Neyo, you have to get the Speeder Bike... ::) Some collectors could care less about vehicles and hasbro screws us by packing in something everyone wants with a vehicle.
And some of the pairings don't make any sense.
Glad to get some news on them, though.
-
Some of these 2 packs make no sense. I guess this is Hasbros way of screwing us with more of those ROTS "Lightsaber Attack" Anakins.
-
It doesn't make since to have both Anakin & Darth Vader (especially during Order 66, Anakin was Darth, but was not behind the mask.
-
I want all of those if they have good figures!
-
Who is Commander Bow? Anyway I think these 2 packs sound much better than I thought they were gonna be. Well a few of them at least. I'll take the Neyo and trooper with the bikes, Emperor with Shocktrooper (just for another shocky), and maybe some others. Of course it will depend upon what they look like and the price.
-
He is the commander of the 501st after Appo's death on Kashyyyk. The upcoming TSC Appo should really be called Bow. ::) My hopes:
Yoda (VOTC re-pack w/ Saber) & Kashyyyk Trooper (TSC re-pack)
Obi-Wan Kenobi (Pilot re-paint,soaked) & Utapua Clone (TSC re-pack)
Palpatine (Evo re-hash w/ New Head) & Shocktrooper (SITS re-pack)
Mace Windu (30 A re-pack) & Galactic Marine (30 A re-paint w/ Purple Deco)
Darth Vader (New,SA) & Commander Bow (TSC Appo re-pack)
Anakin Skywalker (Evo re-paint w/ Sith eyes) & Airborne Trooper (30 A re-paint,BF II 501st Sniper deco)
Since there hasn't been any Appo or Appo's Troops they have to be new. I may AB the Trooper.
-
He is the commander of the 501st after Appo's death on Kashyyyk.
I read "Dark Lord" and was confused a bit since Appo was in the book. I thought Appo bought it at the Temple when Jedi Lucas slashed him down. He was the one who stopped Bail, right?
-
Zett Jukassa slashed Appo but he survived. He ended up be decapitated by Jedi Master Roan Shryneon Kashyyyk.
-
My worst nightmare:
Yoda (ROTS repack) and Kashyyyk Trooper (TSC repack)
Obi-Wan Kenobi (pilot repack) and Clone Trooper (TSC repack)
Palpatine (ROTS #12 repack) and Shock Commander (GB Shock w/Pauldron)
Mace Windu (ROTS repack) and Galactic Marine (30A repack)
Darth Vader (ROTS #11 repack) and Commander Bow (TSC Appo repack)
Anakin Skywalker (ROTS lightsaber attack) and Airborne (30A repack)
EEK!!! :'(
-
My worst nightmare:
Obi-Wan Kenobi (pilot repack) and Clone Trooper (TSC repack)
EEK!!! :'(
What's wrong with those two sculpts?
-
My worst nightmare:
Darth Vader (ROTS #11 repack) and Commander Bow (TSC Appo repack)
Unfortunately this will probably happen as Bow is just a different charcter with the same look. And the Vader will either be the ROTS sculpt or the 500th Vader sculpt. I don't see them using the Evo one as he's ROTJ.
-
Zett Jukassa slashed Appo but he survived. He ended up be decapitated by Jedi Master Roan Shryneon Kashyyyk.
Thanks for that info, MetalJedi. I read Dark Lord and don't recall reading Appo surviving Zett's attack there, so I thought it was weird he was still around (though he is a clone). Where can I find more about that?
Now to be on topic... These 2-packs, I feel, are just going to be straight repacks except for Neyo who is new... and he is packed with a vehicle just so anyone who wants him has to by the bike as well. ::) Yes, I guess it's apparent that I don't like this idea. ;) I would prefer getting an SA Stass Allie instead.
-
I would prefer getting an SA Stass Allie instead.
*COUGH* never gonna happen *COUGH*
-
I'll definitely be buying a case or two of these 2 packs through Entertainment Earth. Although, if the figures like the lightning shooting EIII Palps start to pile up, I'll quickly rethink my strategy.
-
Time for another cynical "What Would Be Nice vs. What We Will Get" rant!
Yoda & Kashyyyk Trooper Order 66 2 Pack
WHAT WOULD BE NICE: An actual new, SA Yoda and a new SA Kashyyyk Trooper
WHAT WE WILL GET: ROTS Yoda #3 and TSC BARC Trooper
Saleucami Speeder Bike Assault Team
Commander Neyo: Clone Trooper, helmet & weapon
Saleucami Trooper: Clone Trooper, helmet & weapon
WHAT WOULD BE NICE: Totally new sculpts of each figure that would fit on the BARC Speeder bikes.
WHAT WE WILL GET: Repaints of the AT-TE Gunner who won't fit on the BARC Speeder bikes.
Obi-Wan Kenobi and Utapau Clone Trooper Order 66 2 Pack
Well, I think this one will hold no surprises. The Utapau Obi-Wan from wave one and the 2006 TSC Utapau Clone will probably be this, which isn't bad even though most of us already have them (or will have them by that point).
Emperor and Shock Commander Order 66 2 Pack
WHAT WOULD BE NICE: Totally new SA Senate Duel Palpatine and slightly damaged Shocktrooper from SITS pack (using the 41 Clone body)
WHAT WE WILL GET: ROTS Palpatine (yet again) and ROTS Shocktrooper repaint.
Mace Windu and Galactic Marine Order 66 2 Pack
WHAT WOULD BE NICE: 30th Anniversary Mace Windu (the SA one coming in 2007) and repack of the Galactic Marine
WHAT WE WILL GET: ROTS Mace Windu (yet again) and a badly repainted Snowtrooper
Darth Vader and Commander Bow Order 66 2 Pack
WHAT WOULD BE NICE: If this wasn't even released
WHAT WE WILL GET: ROTS Vader and ROTS Tactical Ops Trooper with a pauldron
Anakin Skywalker and Airborne Trooper Order 66 2 Pack
WHAT WOULD BE NICE: Evolutions ROTS Anakin with Sith Eyes and soft goods cloak and 30th Anniversary Airborne Trooper in Battlefront 2 colors
WHAT WE WILL GET: ROTS #2 Anakin with regular eyes and 30th Anniversary Airborne Trooper painted a ridiculous shade of blue
I'd also be willing to bet that Hasbro, in their infinite wisdom, doesn't ship the Commander Neyo and Saleucami Clone Trooper until the final wave, at which point the first two waves (which will both include multiples of the sure-to-be-subpar Vader and Bow set) will be warming the pegs to a degree that Neyo and his troops will be nigh impossible to locate.
-
I would prefer getting an SA Stass Allie instead.
*COUGH* never gonna happen *COUGH*
Probably not... but we can dream right. :D
-
I'm sure the majority of these, if not all, will probably be repacks. I guess, looking at the quality of the ROTS Jedi figures - and for the most part, clones - they could still be pretty nice. Sure, its figures most of us already have, but if it takes the place of "Greatest Battles/Heroes and Villains" assortments (except for that rumored fan's choice assortment), I'd rather see these. The clones are the only real big sellers in the current assortments, and if they want to stick an SA Jedi with the clones, I guess there could be worse ideas. The ROTS Jedi figures, along with Pilot Obi and Evolutions Anakin, are all very well done and pretty much super articulated - and, although they might not be as interested anymore, I think that would be a pretty cool 2 pack to get if you were a kid - a Jedi and a clone. I'm interested to get some more details on these (and hopefully pics).
-
As with most repacks, I'm sure the packaging will be the highlight.
-
Yep just go to a local toy store rght now. :P
-
(except for that rumored fan's choice assortment)
It's not rumored, have you seen the polls at RS?
-

The last time I recall voting in something to do with RS...
All you guys know what I'm talking about.
-
These sets sound pretty cool!
Can't wait!
-
Commander CODY had wider legs...suppose they kit bashed Neyo with those legs....with some minor changes...would he be able to ride/fit the speeder then?
--Slothus
-
I'd rather not see that though... A big gripe of mine was the ****** leg sculpt on Cody. Neyo with those swizzle sticks would look pretty ****** off the bike unfortunately. :(
The Quick Draw Clone, which wasn't bad, actually rides things fairly well due to the leg design and looks good standing/posed as well. I'd actually be ok with seeing a modified version of that figure first... Still an all-new sculpt would be preferred by me, that perhaps utilized ball/socket hip joints too...
-
stass allie and commander neyo would be my favorites
-
They should just give him articulated legs, it would add more articulation & a better figure.
-

no, ya think? ::)
-
over at www.4-inches.de theyve got pics of Cmdr. Neyo. looks pretty cool!
-
Theylook sweet! I'll pick up a couple of the trooper (If he comes with the speeder bike instead of Neyo)
-
Lovely. I'll take 2.
-
Finally. Is that the last "movie" clone to be made?
-
Yep. Unless you don't count Gree as being Gree.
-
Finally. Is that the last "movie" clone to be made?
I'm pretty sure. If so, finally the clone grubbers can shut up. >:(
I'll still be picking up this set though. :)
-
Nah, there's still an accurate 41st elite clone trooper they need to make. :P
-
Oh, and the Clone scuba trooper.
-
I can think of a bunch...
What about clone numbers 1 to 1 000 000 000?
They appeared in the movies! :P
Say...what about clone children?
-
What?
-
he has a point-
clone children, the little guy that came with lama su, id like a two pack of those. thatd be cool!
id love a clone scuba trooper, and some of those kamino not in armor red clothing clones. then, all clones would pretty much be made. ;D
-

He does? This was Anton's question:
Finally. Is that the last "movie" clone to be made?
So, since we already have the clone children, then they don't need to be made and...
Nevermind.
I'm off to Christmas festivities.
-
Actually, even though I'm getting tired of all of the clone repaints, I would like to have an AOTC clone in one of those red Kamino jumpsuits.
-
Actually, even though I'm getting tired of all of the clone repaints, I would like to have an AOTC clone in one of those red Kamino jumpsuits.
Same here. It's really one of the last unique kinds of Clone Trooper that's yet to be done. I could go for that or an ARC Trooper Pilot like the one in the first episode of Volume II of Clone Wars.
-
I love clones but we need more Stormies. I mean Sandtroopers who appeared in 1 movie for only a little bit get more figures. Come on Hasbro! I'd personally like to see a 2-pack with a random jedi & stormie.
-
I don't know if I should or could link, but Neyo is in stock, loose, via one of the Asian sellers on ebay.

Well, here's the hostage photo:
And this is my favorite part:
"You are bidding on a Star Wars New Commander Neyo Loose action figures. rare! "
Yeah, it's rare because it hasn't been released yet. And I'll refrain from the next logical deduction because we all know how he probably obtained it.
-
Pretty cool, but this figure doesn't jump out at me as being something I am dying to have... I'll still probably get 2-3 of them though.
;)
-
For the sense of completeness, he will be satisfying. Depending whether or not you accept the Kashyyyk clone as "acceptable," this is the last clone that actually appeared in the movie that needed to be made.
-
hasbro has really impressed me with its ROTS clones. :)
-
V-Wing Pilots... Come on guys, there's clones left! :)
-
V-Wing Pilots... Come on guys, there's clones left! :)
OH! yeah! well, they're bound to make it because of the vwing theyre releasing next year.
-
We never saw them in the movies.
The pilot who shot down Plo Koon he's different from the pliots we've seen so far. That's all in the movies besides the red clothes clone in AOTC.
There's still a ton from EU:
Scuba Clones
Black Armor Republic Commandos
White Armor Republic Commandos
Jet Trooper
Probally some other crap EU spits out too.
-
We asked about a V-Wing pilot over at The Jawa (http://www.thejawa.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=6273.0) in the Q&A's, but got shot down. Hasbro said the following:
However, we do not have a V-Wing pilot slated to go with the V-Wing as of this time. Eventually, it will be a figure we'll do but we do not have a timetable. Patience on that one
And regarding this...
We never saw them in the movies.
Hasbro did produce a V-Wing Pilot for the Attacktix game. And I believe there are illustrations of a V-Wing Pilot in The Incredible Cross Sections book's entry for the V-Wing.
-
dang! well, ill probably customize one then, cause unless it sucks im buying that vwing.

Hmm... I don't know. Well, that Utapau AT RT Driver sure turned up in a hurry, but wow. Those repacks SUCK.

Oh!Great! Toy Nazis again >:( ::) :P
-
Hmm... I don't know. Well, that Utapau AT RT Driver sure turned up in a hurry, but wow. Those repacks SUCK.
yep. spuffy, you took the words right out of my mouth. :( i MIGHT get the anakin/airborne 2pack, MAYBE...but still, damn! :P
-
There goes the budget...
-
Hmmm...pass, pass and pass. There's $40 saved! :)
The other three were:
Yoda and Kashyyyk Trooper (Green)
Emperor and Shock Commander (Red)
Darth Vader and Commander Bow (Black)
Another triple pass (although that Shock Commander might be tempting)
-
Oh my good God what a total bunch of garbage. I had some high hopes for these after seeing the Neyo 2 pack, which is very good. But these 3 are just flat out heinous...
Mace/Galactic Marine - The Mace sucks. He's 1/2" too short at the very least and has monkey arms. The sculpt is awful. Face it, it's a piece of ****. The Galactic Marine is nice (and I'll be assembling a platoon of 36 movie painted versions on regular basic cards), but what's up with the color? Was he fighting on a planet where Clorox rained from the heavens? 2 figures, neither of which were involved in "Order 66," as this wave is titled.
Obi Wan/AT RT driver - I must have missed those AT RT drivers on Utapau. What version of Obi Wan is that, the battler that came with the grievous guard? Yikes.
Anakin/Airborne trooper - This Anakin sucks. The Evolutions version is the only one that's worth a damn. The airborne trooper is good, but damn it I must have missed them at the Temple Raid.
??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
More money saved I guess.
The worst part of this is, I just know it, some of y'all will be hammering down Target's stockroom door for these, clutching the DPCI numbers, waiting breathlessly for the stock boy then running to the register in ecstacy to plunk down $40 for 3 crap items. Which is why Hasbro keeps pushing this on us in the first place. At least there's not even a single figure among these 6 that I care to purchase, so I'll be spared the $13 for a single figure I may have wanted in a 2 pack.
-
Well, that Utapau AT RT Driver sure turned up in a hurry
Some folks just know when to post a rumor... ;D
Very interesting - I love that they are Target exclusive instead of Wally or TRU - MUCH easier for me to grab via the DPCI trick. :)
-
The Obi-Wan is the #1 "Slashing Attack" version. :-\
-

It's hard to believe that you're even going to need it. It's true that you will, but hard to believe. Such poor taste in quality (and low standards) we have as a whole, we collectors.
-
The Obi-Wan is the #1 "Slashing Attack" version. :-\
Ah, okay. Good lookin' out. I wasn't quite sure which piece of crap that was, since I didn't buy anything but the SA version. You know, the only one worth the price tag.
-
Another triple pass (although that Shock Commander might be tempting)
nah shock commander'll just be a #6 shock trooper repack with a red pauldron. :P SOTS would be nice, but it wont happen...
-
It's hard to believe that you're even going to need it.
I don't mind the clones... :-[
The Jedi will most likely get dumped on to my loose figure "for sale" list, but I kinda dig the Utapau AT-RT Driver and the 501st Airborne Clone (for variety in my army).

It's hard to believe that you're even going to need it. It's true that you will, but hard to believe. Such poor taste in quality (and low standards) we have as a whole, we collectors.
Tell you what Dressel, you don't like them, fine. But take your holier than thou attitude and shove it up your ass. I'll agree with you that the choices in figures they used aren't great, even though I do like the idea of pairing up Jedis and Clones. If you insist on insulting board members, take yourself elsewhere.

There's no room in my ass for it. That's primarily a shot at Hasbro, and secondarily at us for empowering them to make the junk in the first place. You never do get what I have to say, just like the Watto's thread where the woman beat the hell out of a moron would-be assassin and you reamed me for posting a "fat joke."
-
I like the clones but If I want them I can just customize the ones that I will get when the Airborne and Galactic Marine come out. Glad other people like them. Im just wondering what the 1st, 3rd and 6th Order 66 pack are going to be since those are 2nd 4th and 5th.
-
I notice that the main page says that these 2 packs feature "both repaints and resculpts." I'm just wondering what precisely was resculpted here?
-

Wonder no more:
Yoda and Kashyyyk Trooper (Green)
Emperor and Shock Commander (Red)
Darth Vader and Commander Bow (Black)
-
I'll pass on all of them then. Thanks for the info.

I notice that the main page says that these 2 packs feature "both repaints and resculpts."
In the SW.com story, it says:
"The Order 66 series, which includes new repaints and some re-sculpts"
These are only three of the six packs... since we don't know what's in the other three for sure, maybe they have resculpts in them? Or, maybe it's Hasbro BS? Guess we don't know for sure yet...
-
To be honest, I like the clones... I like the AT-RT Driver because it "makes sense" despite not being in the film... Same with the others. I'll pick up the sets hopefully via the DPCI trick, and I tend to make a pile of figures I can donate to this or that, or use for customizing some... The clones are mine though, and the Jedi I'll simply pass off to someone's kid who wants them. The sculpts are weak choices for sure, but I've come to expect that in multi-packs generally.
To be honest I was thankful they used good sculpts in the tin sets... It made buying some of those bearable whereas I was really dreading picking them up to get one figure or two at most. :(
These seem kind of cool... About what I was expecting. To me, it could be worse really and the clones could be figures we already had, like Cody with Obi-Wan, or whatnot. That would suck really, at least to me.
-
I don't want to execute Order 66 with the wrong clones, so I will be passing on these and saving for the Comic 2-Packs.
-
I'm on the fence about these. I like the clones, and I'm sure I could dump the Jedi figures on someone .... but that puts each clone at $13 and I'm not sure I want to go that route.
-
13$?? Was that the rate? Eh, may have to pass-certainly am considering it anyway.
Like most I like 50% of the pack..so I'll pay 13 for it??!! Ugh. Well, IMO they're 50% better than the tins and at least I'll only get one figure I don't want instead of 3(which kept me from buying those). Will have to make an on-spot decision when the time comes...man, I hate doing those.
DS
-
They look pretty cool to have, I hope that they aren't exclusives. Because then they are to hard to get for me again :(
But then again, if I can get them, I will be one of the only ones in Holland ;D

Actually it says "repaints" and "new sculpts". I guess they're counting the Galactic Marine as a new sculpt as it has yet to be released and the Airborne Trooper as a "new" sculpt 'cuz it has only be available as of recently in the Windu BP and as the soon-to-be-released basic figure.
****, who can understand they're terminology/designations sometimes anyway, Mace was dead before Order 66 was issued anyway, but that's picking nits. :P

I have to agree with this- it boils down to another 13.00 + clone at target. I like the clones, but not that much.
I passed on the tins as well, even though I would have liked a few of the figures and a couple of tins. I did get the cantina band, because they were an upgrade over the last set.
Some of the battle packs provide both troops and value, these give you one troop and pick your pocket at the same time. I hope I find a few on clearance, because that is the only way these soldiers make it into my grand army. :-\

Well honestly no matter what they would have done with these 2 packs there would be bitching. If they repacked 2 movie figures like evolutions Anakin and 501 st trooper, Pilot Kenobi and Utapau Trooper, Mace and white clonetrooper with grey shouldder then the cry would have been "They are charging us $13 for figures we already have. Die Hasbro Die!!!" You know? At least with this it's something different for the die-hard clonetroopers entusiasts out there. If you are buying Mace and his purple squad or that SWExclusive grey SA clonetrooper then these should not be that far of a stretch to accept. At least they are not single carding these "new" clonetroopers like they are in the Final 22 wave. To be honest I like those non-movie clonetroopers to. I do not want 5-10 of them but they are nice repaints IMO. I'd rather have Yarna, Hermi Odle, ICMG, or some others of course but clonetroopers sell a heckuva lot better.
Do not get me wrong here. I probably will not buy the 2 packs because I want some other things instead. Although I may go for the Yoda/Kashyyyk Trooper. Especially if I can't find the single carded Kashyyyk Trooper which of couse I can not locate yet. But this is not really that bad of an idea considering what else these could of been...like Choppers (cringe at the thought). This just does not surprise me that much when I think about it. At least these troopers could be imagined just off screen instead of that hideous SWExclusive version. Yikes!
Besides, what did everyone expect with these things really? I would have liked Neyo and his clonetrooper buddy but I like their exclusive idea better with the 2 bikes (except for the fact that is an exclusive).
-
I'm kind of on the fence with these as well. I like some of the clones that are offered, but like others, don't need the Jedi again. Plus, after seeing the Vintage figures for the 30 AC, I know I'm going to need to free up some spare cash for extras of some of those. We'll see with these 2 packs though, they do look nice packaged up and everything though. I know its repacks either way, but it would have been nice to see figures like the 30 AC Mace, Pilot Obi, and Evolutions Anakin in packs like this. I don't think we'd be complaining as much that way. Like I said, I haven't decided how many (if any) of these I'll be picking up. I guess timing will play a part as well, but I might have to skip these as well - at least the majority of them.
-

I don't think that's the case at all. Take a look at this potential compared to what they're dumping on us:
Obi Wan/Utapau clone trooper:
SA pilot Obi Wan vs. the slashing one.
Evolutions 327th star corps trooper w/ removable helmet in Utapau paint scheme sans the kama vs. the nonsense EU AT RT driver.
Anakin/501st:
Evolutions EIII Anakin vs. the crappy EIII basic version
Evolutions 327th star corps trooper w/ removable helmet in 501st paint scheme sans the kama vs. the nonsense EU scheme airborne trooper.
Mace/Galactic Marine:
Should have been abolished altogether, makes no sense.
But they could have used the upcoming 30 AC SA Mace instead of that stunted abomination they gave us on the EIII basic card, and maybe the movie paint scheme Galactic Marine.
I give praise where praise is due, look at my posts. But these sets really suck. If they used something along the line of what I dreamt up above, I'd have bought multiple of each, like 2-5 of each depending on the pack.
Instead, I'm buying none of it. And I'm as diehard of an army builder as army builders come. I've got 50-100 of most of the well thought out, nicely sculpted, nicely articulated, movie trooper figures like the VOTC stormie, VTSC scout, wookie warrior preview etc.
Jesse can tell me to put it up my ass, and that's fine, that's his issue. But I'm going to say this anyway: If you buy this garbage, you'll buy anything with a Star Wars logo on the package, because these are low effort, nonsensical items with poorly selected sculpts.
:D
-
These make me want to quit being a completist. Horrible jedi re-packs and blatant "they'll buy them because they're clones" re-paints.
-
While I agree with the assessment that the Jedi they've chosen for these are far from desirable, and the combinations that they have come up with border on nonsensical, I'll still end up getting a few of these. I personally like the clone re-paints. Yes, they could have done better on the choices of base clone figures to use, but at least we aren't getting 'Quick Draws' or 'AT-TE Gunners' repainted. I'm not crazy about the choice of packaging, but I'll live with that too. In the end, I prefer to have releases like these than more SW Transformers, another round of Choppers, or re-hashed Unleashed figures.
-
I like the clone repaints, because they are more unique sculpts than just # 41 over again. But they could have done these like the comic book 2 packs, 2 figures and a story for 9.99. That would make it easier to stomach IMO.
-

I dunno man, I'm starting to think that those "Only At Target" labels on the package might be a pretty ominous indicator that only Target will be selling them.

My bad ;)

It would have been nice to give us the SA Mace, SA Obi Wan instead of the "craptaculiar" action ones. Hasbro gets a pass on this one from me for all the goodness they are delivering with the basic line. I will buy one of each. It would be nice to know who else is in the assortment.
-
But I'm going to say this anyway: If you buy this garbage, you'll buy anything with a Star Wars logo on the package, because these are low effort, nonsensical items with poorly selected sculpts.
:D
It's marketing, that's all. Give the collectors nice packaging, a 'new' (and I use the term loosely) clone and watch them sell.
They do it all the time - and will continue to do it until it stops working.
Why include two nice figures when you'll sell through with just one?
-

I think you forgot to get "overpriced" in there too... you know, really hit home how these cost $13 for two repack/repaints while you can get two new sculpts for $10 in the Comic Pack line. :P
Despite the helpful advice of everyone in the thread warning me that these are "low effort, nonsensical items with poorly selected sculpts" or "horrible jedi re-packs and blatant 'they'll buy them because they're clones' re-paints", I'm still planning on buying one of each set. You guys can buy what you like (or in this case, skip what you hate) and I'll buy what I like.
I mean, the worst thing that happens if I buy these sets is that Hasbro and Target make money and that inspires them to continue making new exclusives which you can continue to hate and not buy. The earth isn't going to stop revolving because I'm spending $83 to buy 6 two-packs of little plastic men.... is it? :-\

That's right. I'm starting to view this more as an illness, honest to God. Personally, I was cured around 2000. I used to be a completist for 3 3/4" figures and vehicles. As soon as vehicles were being reboxed in different packaging, I was cured.
When you're buying the same figures over and over and over and over again, especially ****** ones, that's obsessive compulsive. You gotta ask yourself, do I really like this? Is this worth it? Why do I want this? And why do I want this figure that's obviously subpar in triplicate or more?
New basic figures, especially well articulated ones, movie figures, I'm all over it. But there comes a point with repaints, repacks, rehashes etc. that you just have to physically look at the cash in your hand that you're handing over for this stuff, that you already have mind you, and realize what the hell you're doing. This is why I say that typically only about 50-70% of the wave is purchasable these days. That will change with 30 AC basic figures, most are new. Most are good.
I'm not calling anyone out, I'm not insulting anyone, but my personal opinion is that it's kinda an obsessive compulsive disorder. And an expensive one. Everyone's free to collect the way they want, and I'm free to talk about what I think about it. Even when JesseVader wants to place my posts inside my ass ;)
-
And I agree.
It is an illness - you're not sane if you buy the same figure over and over on a different cardback.
No offense to anyone that does it (I'm guilty)... :-\
-
Hmm, horrible Jedi figures (that I've already been forced to buy to get other cool items) combined with some repainted clones. I'm only buying AOTC era clones from now on (or new ROTS clones that were actually in the film) so these are big passes for me.
-

PASS, PASS, PASS, Hasbro kiss my @$$!
-
ill pick up 2 of windus for the marines 2 of obi's for the at-at and probably 3-4 if I'm able to find for the blue airborne trooper since hes my favorite clone. Hasbro's gonna be taking a huge chuck of money out of my wallet this year since there coming out with all the new clones and the new Stormie's since there my fav. Hasbro you smart mother F**ck r's ::)
-
I'm gonna be honest here, and say I agree with you in some part that collecting figures in a 2-pack like this where there's one you want (not everyone's cup of tea mind you, but a lot of people actually LIKE the idea of these clones that aren't on-screen... I do.), and one you don't want, can be viewed as a screwjob... Then again, $7 figures are a screwjob... $10 figures are a bigger screwjob... At least in my point of view where I get SA military figures for $5. There's definitely an element of unhappiness there even on my end.
That said, I think Jesse's point is it's NOBODY's right to criticize people for how they collect, what they like... And by our rules, questioning people's sanity in their face, and criticizing them repeatedly for what they want to buy isn't going to be tolerated. That's not gonna fly around our boards.
I'm being up front about this, honest... I don't think it's fair to label people anything because you think their collecting habits are wrong and yours are right... So the short of it is that we don't want to see it on the boards anymore.
Now, I'm with you DR on SA figures, new sculpts, good resculpts of figures that deserve, all that jazz... You know that about me I'm sure. I'm sure EVERYONE knows that about me. But a lot of us actually think these clones are kind of cool... Some of us liked Mace's battlepack... I dug the white AT-RT Driver in the tin set... Am I happy about $13 for a Jedi I don't want? No,but at the same time I'm going to give most of those away as gifts to kids I know who like these toys and would appreciate those figures... It works out for me because I found a way to make it work out for me (at least in my heart, if not my wallet).
On the bright side, Target's known for seeing their stuff hit clearance if it's not priced right or it's a bad mix of stuff... Case-in-point the Snowspeeder which wasn't a bad deal but still saw massive clearance. Hell it even offered a "new" figure. So I think people will see these hit clearance... I could be wrong, god knows that, but I think it's the safer bet honestly.
The fact anything hits clearance actually impacts the future of these "ideas" more than how we react... This idea was in the coffer a while ago and is out now... Target will buy and flub up maybe by buying too much, and they may say to themselves that they're making a mistake somewhere along the lines with these exclusives.
I mean, of the Final 22 I have seen, the non-movie Clones are some of the lesser selling figures (and the straight repacks), so I think there is a voice out there getting the point across that non-movie stuff isn't going to be quite as hot... This concept Hasbro has of repainting anything any way, definitely has a shelf life, unlike re-releasing SA Stormtroopers, E2 White Clones, or 501st SA Troopers or some such.
Anyway though I droned on some... To sum up what my original point is though, how you collect is your business but it's not cool to take frustrations out on our boards against how others collect... No labeling, no borderline namecalling, and all that stuff... Leave it go, and just dislike the clone repaints and don't buy 'em and all that... That's cool.
-
Obi/ AT-RT & Anakin/ Airborne only.
-
I like the choice of Anakin with the Airborne 501st Trooper. I wonder if this Anakin will have the Sith eyes variation?
As for the others? Not crazy about the Obi-Wan & AT-RT Driver. The choice of Obi-Wan is weak, but it probably has something to do with the factory producing these sets or Hasbro wanting to mix up the Obi-Wan's they're putting out. The AT-RT Driver just doesn't look good in these markings. As for Mace & the Galactic Marine, I'd prefer the new Mace Windu in this set. But I think Hasbro nixed that idea since it would probably lead to decreased sales of the new Basic Mace Windu. The Galactic Marine is cool though.
I'm hopeful for the other three sets, but I'm also realistic. I'd like to see a better Emporer, but I doubt we're going to get one. At least in this format.
If anything, I think that the exclusive completist in me is going to lead me to buy these. I've passed on some regular issue items, but I almost never pass on the exclusives.
-
And word or speculation on who 1, 3 and 6 will include?

Yes. All can be found earlier in the thread... ;)
The other three were:

Emperor and Shock Commander (Red)
Darth Vader and Commander Bow (Black)
You can see pics of the clones in this image...

Oh no, it just occured to me that the shock trooper commander is actually the evolutions clone. Lose the kama and shoulder pauldron and we have a removable helmet shock trooper. I might push the limits of logic and have to get that one. I'm sure the emperor figure will be the crappy Wave 1 EIII figure though.
-
Good eye DR, I think you're right on that. I haven't decided what I'll do with these packs yet, but I'll definitely get the Shock commander one regardless. I always liked those troops, and if we get a removable helmet version, that's even better.
-

Once you take the kama off, there was a waist belt included with the evo version that you could snap on instead of the kama. I doubt we're gonna get that with this figure though, unfortunately.
-
Hmm...I'm actually kind of disappointed with these sets, but not for the Clones. I would have definitely bought one of each had the various Jedi been the superior, SA versions, but now I'm more than likely going to pass on all three shown so far. The Clones in the latter three sets (the ones we haven't seen the Jedi figures from as yet) don't really impress me either, so this might be the first time I pass completely on a Clone-related item. :-\
I think the only thing that could get me to pay full price for one of these now is if the Palpatine included with the Shock Trooper was a new, SA Senate Duel version. Then again, that's about as likely as an SA Rancor Keeper at this point, since they have to milk the ROTS Palpatine mold at least once this year.
-
since they have to milk the ROTS Palpatine mold at least once this year.
Only to finally introduce the SA red-robed soft goods Palps briefly at $10+, then inexplicably revert back to the EIII basic version several more times. (see Lucas stormtrooper for prime example)
-
As much as I like clone troopers and stuff, I'm going to pass on these. I want the shock commander, Bow, and the 501st Airborne Trooper, but not for $13 each. I had already ruled out getting the set with Mace (I HATE purple clones), so I thought it's pointless to only get 5 of the six sets, so I'm going to pass on them. I hate these ideas that the people at Hasbro pull out of their asses.
-
I hate these ideas that the people at Hasbro pull out of their asses.
The following event take place from 9:00am-9:02 am
Hasbro headquarters
Gentlemen profits are down and we are running out of ideas, we need results and we need them now.
-How about repainting clones that were never seen in a movie or comic or book packing them with a good guy that we are just sitting on since our distibution sucks
*boardroom laughs*
-Sell them as a 2pack for Target who also sucks for distribution then buy 1,000 shares of a local gas company so we can reap from the fuel cost suckers will spend running around trying to find them all.
*Clapping*
-And of course we need at least one short pack.
*Of course*
I Tonphanan pledge not to but this figures until they are final mark down for clearence.
-
I Tonphanan pledge not to but this figures
That's pretty funny but what are you saying in the last statement? Pledging to not but this figures? :-\
DS
-
should have said Buy. I pledge not to buy any of these figures until they go clearence. Habro has enough of my money, I'm not paying full price for repaints anymore that's why i am passing on most of the final 22. I am a completionist of single carded figures and for me to pass up figures is a bold move that many more will need to do to let Hasbro know that clones are nice but we need new material.
-
i guess this new series is OK, if you don't have the crappy Jedi figures that go with the clones. If this set wasn't a target exclusive i would have most likely bought all but the mace set, considering i don't have that Obi or Ani figures. But o well not like these clones had any screen time anyways. ::)
-
They way I see it, I'm paying $13 for one figure that wasn't even in the movie. Not cool at all.
-
They way I see it, I'm paying $13 for one figure that wasn't even in the movie.
I heard/read a few things out there in internet land, so I thought I'd check for myself...
I was at Target yesterday and punched the Order 66 DPCI# (087-06-0884) into the scanner. The rumors are true - the Order 66 sets are now showing a $9.99 each price (at least here in MN).
$10 for these sets is much more reasonable than $13, especially compared to the comic packs line. In fact, at $10 each, I am even willing to buy extras for army building (the 501st Airborne, Utapau AT-RT, and maybe even the Kashyyyk Clone). I'll just sell the Jedi figures for $3 (to the neighborhood kids or customizers or whoever) and then the clones are really only $7 each, same as the rest of the basic figures. ;)
-
That price makes it much more reasonable to get all 6 of these, but I have to admit that I was getting them regardless of price. Now I'll be able to afford a few more $6.99 basic figures ::)
-
That makes it a lot easier to swallow. I'll definitely grab me an Utapau AT RT Driver then.
-
Definitely a more palatable price for some clone repaints there Jeff. I may even nab doubles on these at $10 each... I doubt I got ape looking for triples... doubles I can swing though. I'm going to, I think, give the Jedi away to kiddies... Maybe keep cloth robes though, but I know I can at least give the Jedi away if need be to kids who'd appreciate them. If they were 2-packs of just clones I'd go nuts buying them.
$10 is pretty decent for two figures so that's good news. I'll scan the DPCI at my Target too, to see what the price shows, but I think that was the price it showed for someone else near me. Some bright spots to the story!
-
Yeah, thanks Jeff. $10 is much more reasonable.
I wonder what the quantities on these are going to be compared to the $13 single figure exclusives?
-
That'll be an $18 + tax savings for me if I decide to get them all. Any savings on SW stuff is welcomed by me.
-
The $9.99 makes it more reasonable, but it is still buy one, get stuck with one for 99% of us. This makes it likely I will get a couple of these if they look good in person, but with all of the 30th AC out there at the time it may be hard to find the cash.

So, I'll be the first one to say this: where are those supposed "new molds" that Hasbro said were being used in these sets? I don't count a single new mold amongst the 12 figures, and I actually count five downright awful molds that should be retired completely (Mace, Kenobi, Anakin, Yoda, and Palpatine). See you in the clearance aisle, Order 66! ::)
-
Does Palpatine has some sort of cloth cape there? Anyway, I really am "cloned out" and have little interest in these.
-
It would appear that way, good eye!
Nonetheless, these sets remain a rather large pass for me.
-
The Clones are cool, but I am NOT paying $12 for those Sith/Jedi. Pass, unless I see them in Clearance for cheap.
-
So, I'll be the first one to say this: where are those supposed "new molds" that Hasbro said were being used in these sets?
Well, you're the second one to say it at least ;)
I notice that the main page says that these 2 packs feature "both repaints and resculpts." I'm just wondering what precisely was resculpted here?
-

Sums up this line perfectly.
-
Technically speaking, the only figure among the 12 that was involved in Order 66 is the Anakin because he led the march on the Temple.
The other 11 figures either had nothing to do with Order 66, were dead when it happened, weren't incarnated when it happened, or are the wrong paint scheme or EU altogether. Eh, I guess Obi Wan counts as a 2nd figure out of the 12 that was involved, he may have received the first shot fired as a result of Order 66.
Hard to believe Hasbro created something as cool as the Neyo 2 pack among what is largely a pile of crap comprising this Order 66 sub-line.
-
It looks the Evo Vader in that pack with Bow - which for $10, wouldn't be too bad a deal. The robe with the Palpy allows you to recreate the brief moment where he pulls his outer Sith robe over the burgundy get-up and gives Anakin his marching orders, which is also cool... but I don't know. I'm not sold at all on these yet. The Yoda fig they chose is awful.
-
Sets like these make one really wonder how much Hasbro works with the retailer... Target has a clone hard-on it seems... They get the clone battlepacks, the individual figures... It seems maybe Target's just requesting ANYTHING clone that they think will sell. Hasbro throws these ideas at the Target wall and they stick I'm guessing.
I'm still not disgusted with these sets... $10 eased the pain of the original price some, so I'm at least interested in them some at that price... It'll be interesting if these wind up on clearance or not. I guess it'll just depend how many get made really. The price for two figures though does help the appeal of these at retail despite our thoughts on what 50% of the pack actually is... They may still move just by looking like a "good buy" to casual buyers browsing the aisle.
-
The first three Order 66 sets did not peak my interest at all. Of these three new sets, only the Palpatine/Cmdr Thire and Vader/Bow peak my interest. Palpy for a posssible variation of his black cloak on the red outfit and Vader/Bow for Commander Bow. Of course, if Appo had lived, there would be no need for Bow. :P

$3 less than a single, specially carded Target clone for these two-packs? I'm not convinced they'll reach clearance. I'm torn on them and not all that keen, especially since I have to beg for help to get them. But I do think they'll still sell, especially to the MOMC crowd where the packaging counts for a fair bit. They look pretty and stackable, that's gotta count with some.
-
See you in the clearance aisle, Order 66! ::)
Yup --- absolutely! Garbage. I hate that legless-solid-plastic Palpatine mold.
-
I'm with Morgbug on these. Anytime retail can offer figure packs where the price per figure comes out to $5 or less, they tend to sell well. If they don't sell to collectors, I'm pretty sure Moms and junior will get a kick out of them. One hero and a clone for $10? That's a pretty nice 'reward' gift. Or birthday gift.
The comic two packs (seriously, why?) and Battle Packs are doing very well here and I can only assume they're doing as well in other places of the country.
-
The packaging thing I forgot to even consider... It's eye-catching for sure. I am with Brent that they have a lot going for them NOT to hit clearance right now.
-
But I do think they'll still sell, especially to the MOMC crowd where the packaging counts for a fair bit. They look pretty and stackable, that's gotta count with some.
I think you hit the nail on the head since it was the carded collector in me that was initially attracted to these. Sharp looking packaging that will stack and display nicely AND only 6 pieces so it is short-term and relatively easy to get a complete set -- wow, the carded completist has reared it's ugly head. :-X
-
Yeah, I'm thinking that with the price being around $10 now, you won't see many (or any) of these hitting clearance. Like everyone has mentioned, these will sell to kids/parents as well, since you can get two figures in a spiffy box for $10. I'm not sure how many I'll be picking up, but I might get a couple of them. I could see them appealing to packaged collectors, because they do look pretty nice from that aspect.
-
They look okay. I am wondering about the Vader/Bow one. Is that the evoultions Vader with Bow or the VOTC one ? it looks like the evolutions one to me.
-
The packaging thing I forgot to even consider... It's eye-catching for sure. I am with Brent that they have a lot going for them NOT to hit clearance right now.
I'm sure region is going to play a huge factor though. However, I have a feeling that the biggest problem is going to be clone swapping.
-
Yeah Anton, I think you're probably right. I wouldn't be surprised to see figure swapping as people swap out the new Clones for old Clones, especially with a fresh supply of old clones re-shipping in the Legends waves.
-
Rebelscum has boxed and loose pics of the 1st Order 66 set with the Evolutions clone decked out in Coruscant shock armor:
-
^ I gotta say, he looks pretty sharp.
-
Yeah, I think the the Palpatine/Thire and Vader/Bow look pretty good for the most part. I would be tempted to get them for the clones. That Vader looks kind of cool with the helmet. More than likely I will put my money towards the basic TAC 30 line. But I may pick up a few of these if I can. I don't like the fact that the Palpatine is not articulated better but they were just trying to put some more clones out and this is what they came up with. Either take or leave it I guess. It's just obvious to me Hasbro was not trying all that hard with these 2 packs. Just trying to put something out there that may sell well. Clones do. So...well...there ya go don't cha know?
-
"Just trying to put something out there that may sell well."
...um, that's what companies that are looking to earn money do! ;)
-
I have to admit, this guy looks pretty sharp. I'm thankful that he's a commander, so no urge to army build.
-
Some of them would be nice to have extras but yeah, singles of these will be good for the most part. Love the packaging on them though.
-
Yeah, I was initially thinking I'd pass on most of these, but these first two packs do look pretty cool. I always hoped to get the Shocktrooper commander (Thire), and Bow looks pretty nice as well. We'll see beyond that, but I do like the looks of these first two packs. Are these on the way fairly soon, since RS has some pics?
-
"Just trying to put something out there that may sell well."
...um, that's what companies that are looking to earn money do! ;)
I realize it and that was why I wrote that. It just seems that people were expecting more with these packs. I was just pointing that out trying to lessen the blow somewhat. It just seemed like a quick way for Hasbo to put out some more clones with minimal effort. I can not help but notice some people seem to be very upset with these 2 packs. Which is fine.
-
Personally I was annoyed that they keep re-releasing crappy (and I'm being generous here) sculpts of figures like red robed Palps and EIII Mace.
But since the EIII basic wave was unveiled at Toy Fair, I'm totally pacified.
I can just pass on Order 66 (except Neyo) and buy all the great basic wave figures. But they hadn't been unveiled yet at the time we saw these Target Order 66 2 packs. I thought all the stuff was gonna be that crappy, but besides these we're getting some pretty nifty ****.
-
I've received a few (unconfirmed at this point) reports this week of folks who are finding Targets on the West Coast (CA and AZ) with the 2-packs in the back-room. All three people who e-mailed had positive DPCI hits, but couldn't actually get them out of the backroom.
087-06-0884 - Order 66 2-Packs ($9.99)
I guess this is just a heads-up to all you "gotta have it now" folks (you know who you are ;)) as it sounds like these will be arriving with (or shortly after) the big toy aisle reset at the end of March/early April...
-
Shock Commander Thire is in a whole different league. Only one I'm excited about.
-
Aghhh, too much too soon. :o
-
I'm actually kind of looking forward to these. They're another thing that, the packaging alone is appealing, and the $10 tag isn't too shabby. I know there's some beef with the partner Jedi/Sith figures, and I agree by all means, but $10 for a Clone, a spiffy package, and a chunk of **** for the fodder bin... Eh. You could do worse. Namely, $7 basic figures when you think about it in terms of bang for your buck.
I'm really doubting I go nuts on "multiples" though... At least not at first. I could see amassing a little "team" of the various troops and 1 of the "Commander" type guys.
And I'm actually happy to get robes like the one the Emperor has, and I'm thinking I can use the figure itself for fodder... They're definitely more appealing to me. Love the Marine with Mace, that's a pretty nifty variant I think. And I am a fan of the Utapau AT-RT Driver. To me that's the kind of figure that, if it were a basic repaint, I'd be all about army building since it's something that just makes sense to me.
-
Aghhh, too much too soon. :o
Yeah, I need another break! The Exclusive Order 66 2 packs look cool. I think I'm going to skip the comic book 2 packs, and instead, spend my funds on these instead. Sigh...
-
I checked a few Targets today with the DCPI but none of them had them in stock. :-\

Dude. Vos. Removable helmet ARC clone. You won't be able to resist.
-
I might pick up the Purple Snowtrooper pack if it goes on clearance.

I know I say that now, but watch, when they come out and see how cool they look, and I'll be all over them. ;D
-
i went looking with DPCI number in hand but they didnt have them in stock yet. They said around april 4th
-
I only now want Thire set & Bow set. If I find AT-RT & Anakin on sale I'll pick it up, those two are cool but not worth ten bucks, more like five.
-

If I had to choose between Comic Packs OR Order 66 Packs, I'd go with Comic Packs in a hearbeat. Those new sculpts are oustanding looking... Vos... Kenobi... Alpha... etc.
:P
-
Found these tonight at a MN Target using the DPCI trick. Box of 12 - 2x of each (in case anyone was wondering) Packaging is AWESOME!! Can't go wrong here at a $9.99 price point. I so love my Crayola clones... ;D
-
If you get a chance to take a pic, we'd love to credit you on the front page. :)

Two good figures (Wave 2 & hopefully down, Han was the only good figure from wave 1) that would usually cost fourteen bucks & a free comic is way worth more than a clone & a crappy hero/ bad guy (excluding Vader).
-
I going to buy the Commander Bow and Vader for sure, because of 2 reasons
1. Its the Evoultions Darth Vader
2. I don't have him, so sweet ;D
I will probably get Obi/At-Rt Driver, Emperor/Shock Comm., and the Anakin/Airbourne Troop
-
I picked up all 6 of these today. Love all of them except for the Yoda/Kashyyyk trooper pack. That one's going back.
One thing that I noticed that I didn't see posted before, was that some of the figures come with additional accessories packed on the bottom of the packaging:
Palpatine comes with an additional hand and Sith lightning.
Yoda comes with an additional hand and a cane.
Anakin comes with his ungloved mechanical hand.
Obi-Wan comes with an additional hand and his lightsaber hilt. The AT-RT Driver comes with the battle damaged chest plate.
It still doesn't change the fact that these are not the best figures and that Hasbro could have given us better ones, but at least they added enough to these packs to make them ok.
-
Obi pack and Yoda packs sure suck! >:( >:( >:( :P :P :P
I'm only getting Thire and Bow packs, theyre in a totally different league from the others. 8)

Street date for these is April 8th?
I just had an odd conversation with a manager about these. Since I keep getting shot down on getting these, unlike some people (Crunchy Nug, I'm looking in your direction) I tried the civil approach. Since my local Target has these in the back room, I asked the manager how secure these are and if they'll make it to the shelves tomorrow. He was very nice, so I know the wasn't yanking my chain. He checked the DCPI, went in back, came out and said that they have lots, but the shelf day he has is 4/8. ??? So if these aren't out tomorrow, that could be why.
-
I had a really helpful guy help me out at Target this morning, but these were no shows. No word of a date on them. All the POTC and Spidey stuff went out on schedule (as did the 30AC).
-

Sorry DA, but he was yanking your chain. Just becasue someone's nice to your face, doesn't mean they're telling the truth. When I was checking for Target shuttles, I remember a very nice service desk lady who told me that the little red boxes on the aisles are rarely accurate and that there were no shuttles in back. Went back the next day and they were on the shelf, with the red box checker now indicating there were none in back.
Anyway, I went into Target today, checked their inventory machine ( I love those things ), and asked a red shirt if he could pull the O#66 items from the back because there were none on the shelf. Most guys go verify a shelf location, but this guy skipped that part, which is lucky since there was no shelf location even though the aisle had reset. He came back with the case, but before he would give it to me, he said he had to verify the street date and take the case out of inventory. After checking, he specifically mentioned that there was no street date assigned to these figures and sent me on my merry way.
-
I saw three of the sets today, and decided just to get Vader/Bow. The obi pack bothers me because of the repack I already have 4 of (thanks to needing to get several UGHs to complete the silver holo set). The Anakin set was a letdown with that airborne- why can't the helmet fit better? I would rather it wasn't removeable and looked decent. I may still pick up the Mace/Marine and/or the emperor set, but I'll have to see them first.

I've dealt with a lot of jerk managers. This guy could have been mis-informed, but I know he wasn't yanking my chain because he bent over backwards to get me an answer and told me to call him directly after the store closed to find out if they would be on the shelves tomorrow. Gave me his personal extention.
Hey, wait a second... he wasn't hitting on me was he? :o

Did he answer the phone "How you doing?"

Did he answer the phone "How you doing?" That is the give away.
He asked you to call him after work? Uuuuhhhhh.... :-*
-
Picked up my Order 66, ran into a "tough" stock manager but once she realized that we were honest people she was relaly cool. She started to describe a really bad scalper (one that I have had many runins with) and I said, ya dont worry we dont like him either and after that..she was really cool..Its a new store so its best to keep good realtions with the natives.
-
Had another Target tell me that Order 66 has an 4/8 shelf date. :-\
-
I just got home from Target and I used the dcpi on the order 66 packs to see if any Target had them and they had them and I got all six
-
I picked up Mace/Palpatie/Vader ..the Anakin one was "ok" the other two...well they are going to be self warmers I think. I was really happy with the Mace/Galactic Marine..
-
One of the Targets I went to today had them out on the shelf already. DCPI wasn't necessary to get them.
-
I checked both of the Targets in town this weekend, and there was no sign of them. Actually our closest Target (that we regularly go to), hasn't reset anything yet - and aside from the nerf footballs, didn't even have any of the new Spidey 3 or Pirates 3 stuff out this weekend. No TAC figures, exclusives, or anything. Hopefully things will switch over soon, and this stuff will start to show up.
-
Checked again, the report was not available in any targets in the area.
-
No street date at targets in my area. Picked up the sets but these would of been better if packed 2 clones to a set.
-
I went to two Targets today. The first store had an accomodating clerk who was nice enough to look up the DCPI number and check stock. He didn't say whether or not they had the Order 66 sets, but his price gun indicated the street date of April 8th.
From there I hit a second store. What do I find? One whole set of Order 66 figures. There certainly doesn't seem to be a great deal of consistency going on at Target about these, but then again it's just an exclusive we're talking about here. It's not something for a major reset, and I can see why these are making it out onto the floor at some stores.
-
Cracked all these guys open. Been trying to figure out how to intergrate the non-commaders into my armies since I'm only getting one of each.
The Marine will lead Mace's squad from his BP's packs.
The At-Rt Driver will get one of my At-Rt's and support my Utapau Squads (might have to pick up another At-RT) :P
The Airborne will be a 501st squad leader
The Kashyyyk trooper is the only oddball. Haven't figure out his place. :-\

Same thing i found today. No luck.

>:( I have yet to see these,or anything from Target. All they have now is some piddly Moff Jerrods(sp) whatever the bloody name he is :P
-
I purchased the Vader/Bow set from a local collector today. It is very cool, it's the only one I planned on getting, and after seeing all of them in person at the collector's store, I am going to stick to that.
Here's what I think of these sets:
Yoda/Clone Trooper: The Yoda was the worst possible sculpt they could've given us, and it looks like a sick Wookiee threw up on the clone trooper. The worst set of the bunch by a thousand miles.
Obi-Wan/AT-RT Driver: Once again, the Obi is the worst possible sculpt they could have given us. The
AT-RT Driver has been proven by Hasbro to only look good in its movie colors, because the one from the tin was appalling, and I'm gonna call this latest repaint, 'the candy corn clone' for obvious reasons.
Palpy/Thire: Thire is awesome, I really like him, but the innaccurate Palpatine? Come on, Hasbro! You could've at least given us the alternate post-Mace duel headsculpt that is just as easy. That bugs me.
Mace Windu/Marine: I have stated my opinion of this Mace Windu figure too many times to state it again. In short, it's bad. Very bad. The Galactic Marine is a good sculpt but the paint aps are way too cheesy to work. It's not as bad as the candy corn clone, but its not very good. However, this is the second best set out of the six, simply because it's not as bad as the other four 'bad' ones.
Ani/Airborne: The Airborne Trooper just looks hideous. It is not meant to have 501st paint aps, at all. Awful. The Anakin, eh, it could be worse, that's how I'll look at him, because it's not a bad sculpt but its not the best sculpt.
VADER/BOW!!!!!! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) : Excellent set. The only one that has two good sculpts. Vader is the best possible sculpt around unlike Yoda and Obi, and the Bow figure is, I'll use Hasbro's favorite word, 'sensational.'
-
FINALLY saw 1 today ;D, but it was the Yoda set :(. But to top it off someone took out the clone and put in the Green Clone Commander minus Pauldron and Kama and to add insult to injury instead of the clone commander head it had a Saga 2 Sandtrooper head :-X.
-
FYI You might want to check the end caps in front of the registers, I found them there today at my local Target. SO I have a feeling once these are gone..that going to be it..
-
I really think Hasbro put little to no thought on these, the best thing about them is the packaging design. They packed bad repacks with ridiculously made up repaint jobs. It's appalling, if this were Vegas, this'd be a sucker bet. They do it because they know people will buy a dog turd if it had the Star Wars logo on it. People buy them, they'll keep doing it. We can't even get an accurately painted Gree but we can get this tripe.
-

Wow! now dont hold back there...you get two figures for $10 bucks..if they were like 15-20 I would agree..
-
I half agree with Schneider, I half don't...
The half of me that does obviously would cite the pack-in Jedi/Sith you get in each set. Hasbro's got WAY better sculpts of almost all of them at their disposal... Palpatine and Yoda kind of get the shaft out of the bunch, though Yoda with a nice cloth cloak would really beef up that figure a bit to me... Anyway though, yeah they all pretty much suck as figures and didn't get much thought from Hasbro. Throw in Evo Palpatine, Evo Anakin w/Sith Eyes, and the like. That would've been a fast way to improve the sets in general.
The half of me that doesn't agree is on the Clone repaints... I totally get why some people hate repaints of Clones that weren't in the movies, but the fact is it's good business sense to DO those repaints because they'll sell well to the majority. I like them in general (the Clones), and for $10 the packaging, some custom fodder (you maybe don't want), and a Clone you don't have is kind of cool... Like I said, if they had better Jedi I'd be ecstatic really... It'd be a much cooler deal. As it stands now to me, it's just alright... I don't think Hasbro really only dropped the ball by rehashing the old Jedi figures that at this point they really must know nobody wants. And that Mace figure for the umpteenth time? You gotta be kidding. ::)
But the Clones I love actually...
I do think that kind of repainting can go too far at some point, and I think given the way the EU clones from the "Final 22" sold it wouldn't surprise me to see Hasbro rethink that stuff sometimes. At least around me you can find certain ones of the repaints pretty easily.
Still, if it's not an outlandishly dumb looking paintjob or whatnot, I'm ok with it... It just has to make sense to me. Like Airborne 501st Troopers, AT-RT Pilots in Utapau paint schemes, a Commander for the Shocktroopers... Those things are all pretty cool I think.
Plaid Trooper though... Quite dumb if (when?) it happens.
-
They do it because they know people will buy a dog turd if it had the Star Wars logo on it. People buy them, they'll keep doing it. We can't even get an accurately painted Gree but we can get this tripe.
The dog turd comment is extremely disturbing. Mainly because it's true.
Yeah, I too think that these 2-packs were a perfect place for them to deliver an accurate Gree, good point.
-
So, should these be hitting today since the "official" date was 4/8, but Target stores were closed yesterday for Easter? I've thought about running over to our local store today to check, but I'd hate to make the trip if they haven't reset things. I guess its not the end of the world if I missed these, but I'd probably pick up a couple of them if I found them.
-
Good call on the Gree guys. That would have been perfect.
-
I found these at the front of the store and had to pass. I can't justify $10 for a repainted clone these days.
Granted, the packaging was cool as were some of the clones but man, I already have enough ****** ass Vaders, Anakins, Yodas, Mister Windus, -- you get the idea.
I need to save my money for the Salecumi (sp) speeder bikes (and TAC Wave 2) that I'll never find! >:(
-
If i find these i will prbably buy them. I wont be able to check at a target til wednesday though.
-
I picked up three of the Order 66 packs at Target today (Thire/Palps, Bow/Vader, and Galactic Marine/Windu). They were on an endcap at the front of the store (by the checkouts), as others have reported. I think I'll likely pass on the other ones, but we'll see. I will admit, even as a loose collector, that they do look pretty spiffy in the "tubular" two pack design. Although I might be in the minority, I wouldn't mind seeing some OT-based 2 packs like this, if the right figures would be used. Something like VOTC Han/VOTC Stormtrooper, VTSC Endor Han/VTSC Biker Scout, VTSC Luke X-Wing Pilot/TIE Fighter Pilot, etc. Heck, the best combo would be super articulated duos of Rebel troops vs Imperial troops - if we ever see Rebel versions done :). The crappy repacks aside, it is kind of nice picking up 2 figures for $10.
-
I scored these a little over a week ago. They're definitely okay for the price. But individually?
-Palpatine & Commander Thire - The detail on Palpatine is cool. I've always liked that about this figure since it was originally offered in the ROTS line. But it's more like a big chess piece than a figure. I'd like to see this incarnation of Palpatine revisited at some point in the future. The addition of the cloak is cool, but I don't really like the fabric. It's a little too shiny for my tastes. Something with more of a matte finish would be cool, like the cloak that comes with the Obi-Wan in this wave. As for Thire? He's great. While we didn't see a Shocktrooper with a pauldron or a kama in ROTS, this works. Especially building it on the ROTS Evolutions Clone. The only gripe I have is that the chin tends to peek out at the bottom of the helmet. Otherwise it's all good.
-Anakin Skywalker & 501st Airborne Trooper - This is probably my favorite set in the Order 66 series. I've always liked this version of Anakin from ROTS. I thought that the likeness was much better than any other Anakin in the ROTS basic figure line. And IMO they improved it by ditching the excessive paint around the eyes for this release. It's not the best articulated Anakin out there, but I think overall that it's far better than the ROTS #2 Anakin that's been re-released numerous times. The Airborne Trooper is a cool addition to the growing ranks of the 501st. Sure, it wasn't seen in the movie but the unit is well established as are the Airborne Troopers. Combine the two and it's a pretty cool trooper.
-Obi-Wan Kenobi & AT-RT Driver - Eh. This is an instance where Hasbro should have used the ROTS Pilot Obi-Wan again. It's a much better figure than this one. Especially when you notice details like say, this Obi-Wan doesn't have the right lightsaber hilt in his hand. The softgoods cloak is something of a saving grace, but it can't save this figure. The AT-RT Driver is okay. But it looks so much better in it's green deco from ROTS than in the Utapau colors. I'm kind of wondering why they lost the strap for the gun, too.
-Mace Windu & Galactic Marine - Well, the 30AC ROTS Mace has really made me rethink how good this Mace Windu figure really is. I guess the trouble here is what other Mace Windu would Hasbro issue in this set? They certainly wouldn't want the figure in this set to make the new basic figure a pegwarmer. The Galactic Marine is a cool figure, but I think that this trooper is going to look somewhat out of place with the other Mace Windu battalion troops. That is, unless I buy more of these. And I'm not sure I want to do that.
-Yoda & Kashyyyk Trooper - Blech. They took what is probably one of the worst Yodas from the prequel lines and put it in this set. Why? Why not give us the same Yoda that was in the ROTS edition 30AC tin set? I would have been much happier with that. As for the trooper? Sure, it's the ROTS #41 clone, but the deco is just awful. It should have been much more like Commander Gree than this.
-Darth Vader & Commander Bow - Well done. This was done with minimal effort, but Hasbro nailed this set. The Evolutions Vader is a great choice, especially at this price. And Commander Bow has already been established with the Dark Horse Purge and Dark Times titles. Hasbro didn't have to overthink this and as a result it came out great. Well done.
-
Target sucks.
I went out today, looking for these, because it was SUPPOSED to be the shelf date, but once again Target failed me and had NOTHING.
Well, no Order 66. Oh well. I'll return a couple TSCs and titaniums in a couple days at another Target and try my luck there.
At least I found the camoflauge Battle Droids 2-Pack and the Camo SBD!!! ;D My meager CIS army is happy now!
-
The Airborne Trooper repaint w/Anakin was, unfortunately, cherry picked from every store I hit... why? Why this one guy? I'm confused on that but these aren't shipping in odd #'s where one's getting shorted so I dunno what this is all about.
Anyway, I got a full set of the others and 2 for my gf's son, but he really wanted the Airborne repaint because, well, that's his favorite trooper sculpt now so he wants all the repaints... S o now I gotta track down 2 of those damn things so I have a full set and he has his one he wants... I hit 2 Targets today though and neither had a full set of Oder 66 figures. One did have plenty of most everyone else, but not a full set. ::)
-
How many Vader/Bows have you guys been seeing?
-
I saw 3 today... It was the Anakin w/whoever (blue Airborne) that was 100% gone, from my personal experience here at 2 Targets in Pitt. Others though found complete sets really early in the morning at store's opening times.
-
I havnt seen any around my area which i am sadded by cause i really would like to get me a few or well maybe the whole 6 of them.
-
Don't forget to check the front of the stores for these people. None are being stocked in the SW section. They're on a register endcap with a Transformers exclusive.

Thats where I found my Mace/Marine set today, which Im very happy with. This set was one of the last few in stock, accompanied by two Thire/Palpy sets with icky gunk crud all over the packaging.
My Mace set was in great shape, though. I really like it. Very nice. Now I'll feel better about tearing open and army-building any Mygeeto Marines I can find, because I'll know I have a galactic marine in a package. ;)
Vader/Bow's still the coolest, though. Once I find a nice Palpy/Thire set, I'll be done collecting these sets.
-
I'm glad that I made a special trip over to Target on Monday to check for these. They had all of them in stock, several of each, that day - and today I stopped in there and there were five sets left on the shelves (1x Vader/Bow, 1x Thire/Palps, 2x Obi-Wan/AT-RT, 1x Anakin/Airborne). Still some nice sets left (surprised the Bow set was still there), but they really sold well in a day in a half since I was last there. I don't know if these will continue to ship/be stocked or not, but they seem to have been a success around here.
-
Yeah I'm experiencing similar finds. I went to the same places in 2 days and they were selling through pretty well. Only the AT-RT Driver is really getting shafted much, which is odd to me because he's the real "army builder" out of all of them (to me anyway). Well, so's the Marine and Kashyyk Troops I guess.
Anyway I got a 2nd Marine so I had a nice duo of them. I'll call it quits at extras there unless I can get some cheaper I think.
And I still need the set that has Anakin & the blue Airborne Trooper in it. :( I need two and can't even find one. This sucks.
-
I picked up the Vader and Bow set along with the Emperor and Thire set this evening. I could have bought four or five of each set if I had wanted to. I decided to stick with just Thire and Bow because I do not really like the Hasbro-invented paint jobs; with the purple clones being the worst paint scheme. I have only opened the set with Bow so far, and I am very happy with it. Two super articulated and well detailed figures for ten bucks is a steal.
-
Well, I broke down and decided to go for these, except for the Yoda one since the Kashyyyk trooper looks like pure shite in a can. I mean, he's the camo equivalent of the Covert Ops trooper (http://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=9711.0).
Believe it or not, I don't have any of the original releases of the "hero" figures in these sets (Palp, Mace, etc.), so two "new" figures for $10 is a steal. Even if some of the figures do suck. And while I'm not normally one to be impressed by packaging, I must say that the tube things are really well done.
So far I have just the Palpy and Shockie set.
-
And I still need the set that has Anakin & the blue Airborne Trooper in it. :( I need two and can't even find one.
Why is this one so popular? I think the Thire and Bow look so much better.

Not only that, Bow and Thire are the only 2 of the 6 that you can strip down within a couple minutes and actually make movie clones out of them.
The other 4 are completely worthless to me.
-
Okay, I came across a slew of these at Target today, here's my thoughts on each one:
Yoda/Kashyyyk - Passed. This should have been a better rendition of Yoda, since they have it, and a Kashyyyk trooper like we saw in the movie. I am not paying money for this under any circumstance.
Thire/Palpatine - Bought 3. Half good. The Palpatine figure sucks because it's a salt shaker. The Thire is great. I love the Evolutions sculpt, and I love that you can take the kama off and paint the belt red to make it a removable helmet shocktrooper.
Obi Wan/AT-RT driver - Passed. The AT-RT driver makes no sense and should have been an Airborne Trooper in Utapau scheme or a clone 41 in Utapau scheme. And the Obi Wan was a horrible rendition, and should have been either the Saga2 pilot or the new 30 AC version. Both figures are pointless. They have better Obi Wans, why use the old sculpt? Stupid. "Yeah we have a bunch of better version but here, take this ****** one." Not paying money for it.
Vader/Bow - Bought 2. Love the Evolutions Vader, what a bargain at this price. Best Vader figure ever, perfectly scaled in height, he's taller than other characters like he's supposed to be! Outstanding. And Bow is cool. He's non-movie, but you can remove the kama and binocs and you have a nice 501st grunt. This probably makes this the best of the 6 offerings.
Mace/Galactic Marine - Passed. The Mace is an abomination. 1" too short, horrendous sculpt, poor likeness. There is not one saving grace about this figure. Should have been the new 30 AC sculpt. I love the Galactic Marine, but not in this paint scheme. I do have 20 of the movie paint scheme already, and probably will buy more even. But I had to pass on this because of Mace. It killed this set.
Anakin/501st Airborne -Bought 1. Admittedly, I changed my mind on this one when I saw it in person. I'm normally not a fan of EU, non-movie clones. At least I'm pretty sure this guy wasn't in the movie. But the 501st Airborne looked cool enough that I can justify getting at least 1. I'm going to have him serve as an ARC-like advisor to Anakin for the temple raid. I am kinda fighting back the urge to get back in my car and go get a couple more of this, and the only thing holding me back is the fact that the Anakin that comes with it is horrendous, and should have been an Evolutions sculpt.
Let me ask this question, if they can give us the Vader Evolutions, and the Thire Evolutions, why then did we not get the Anakin EIII Evolutions instead of that saltshaker piece of crap they gave us in this set? I can't figure this out. And that's why I had to pass on more Airborne/Anakin sets, because Anakin is worth $0 to me and I feel like I'm paying $10 for the Airborne clone.
-
Kudos to you Dressel, I admire being able to resist being sucked into Hasbro's "way to make a cheep buck" sets. I didn't even give the Jedi pack-ins a second thought. To me, they were unimportant accessories. :P
-
That's a generally good point about not getting Evo figures in place of Palpatine/Anakin and such... I'd have dug it if Yoda came with a softgoods prequal cloak too. Would've improved him overall to me since they haven't really done that yet.
I still like the sets in general, for the price. And I've still yet to find Anakin w/501st-blue Airborne Trooper for me or my gf's kid... That sucks.
-
I picked up the Mace/Marine and Anakin/Airborne sets today. While I initally have been able to resist the temptation to buy them I finally caved. Those will be my only ones.
-
While stopping by Target yesterday, I noticed that they had re-stocked the Order 66 packs. I didn't look closely, but I think they had all of them. They sold out in about three days here last time, so we'll see how they last this time around.
-
I got the Ani/Airborne packs I needed from JACKOFTRADEZ yesterday so I'm now set on these and my gf's kid got the one he wanted the most. Yay! No more Target trips for these... for now.
I saved most of the others in the package incase there's a clearance of the Order 66 sets. I may nab extras of the RT Driver or Marine if they're left and a clearance comes about.
-
Found a huge gob of these at Target earlier today... Picked up the Mace Windu/Galactic Marine one. Wish they had put in the new 30AC Mace in place of the ROTS/TSC one, but the included Mace is actually fairly decent. Has one of the better Mace headsculpt headsculpts in recent years.
-
Hopefully I'll find an extra TSC Appo around the time I find Bow to do a head swap. Bow didn't have the thing on his head in the comics.

:o
My Target's have restocked these pretty ehavily so all sets are available now... I may actually nab extras of some, depending on availability and possible price cuts. I'd like another 501st Airborne, a few AT-RT Drivers wouldn't bug me either, and the Marine is really actually just a nice repaint. Makes for a nice little side Marine Legion.
The others though are really neither here nor there to me... I'm thinking if I have luck getting any extras for a sale price though, it'll be the AT-RT Driver. He was the only one shelf warming during the first shipment of these.
-
I have not even seen any of these packs yet. Kind of odd. I have not been "searching" for them but it's not like I have not been to a few Targets this month either.

Or, you can cut the little visor holder pegs off.

I've been seeing gobs and gobs of these things at every Target I visit which leads me to believe that there will be a clearance coming up pretty quick as Target doesn't seem to like stocking their exclusives for longer than a month or so at full price.
Too bad I can't find gobs and gobs of exclusives at the blue store though..or any for that matter for the most part ::)
-
Broem, at a Target I went to over the weekend, the Order 66 packs were up front towards the registers, nothing of the sort (or TAC figs) on the pegs in it's "home" location. If you don't see any around the toy aisle, check up front... hopefully you'll find them there.

Ahhhh, I will try that thanks.
-
Agreed, every Target I visit has these on shelves near the registers. That's 4 Targets I've been to of late... Don't fall prey to their new tactic of hiding **** in the store. ;D

Not to be rude or anything, but who in the world hasn't known this? ::)
-
I don't know how it is in other parts of the country, but these have pretty much all disappeared from our Targets now. They aren't at the "front register" locations anymore, and I've only seen one Obi-Wan/Utapau AT-RT driver pack lying in the action figure aisle. They seem to have sold quite well around here.
-
Ours migrated back to the toys, on endcaps or just on the shelf below the SW figures. Same price, just moving about it seems. After some restocking of them, they were all easy enough to find, however there are certain ones that have since moved on completely again. Namely Ani/blue airborne, and most Mace/Marine sets.
Loads of Obi/RT, Vader/BlueCommander, Yoda/Sneezed On Trooper, and some of the red Commander/Palps but not quite as many of them.
I'd love a nice 12 man squad of the RT Driver set but not at $10 a piece.
-
My Target never got these in. At least thats whatt eh computer said. I ended up buying a set on ebay slightly above retail.
-
These have disappeared around here as well. So much for clearance. :P
-
All gone. I was surprised at their availability in my area, they were around at least a month, although I never found a couple... :(
-
the Target I regulary go to still as the register end cap full of ORder 66 figs, but NO TAC stuff on the SW aisle.
-

A tad bit late with this reply, but as I stated before it's not like I had REALLY been trying to find those as the time. To be honest with you, no I never did see them at the front of the store. I found them...eventually...with the regular figures where they usually are located. Yes, I have found other figures at the front of stores before if that is what you were implying? Yeah, it was rude.
-
I found exactly 288 of these sets today at a single Target marked down to $4.98 on a toy aisle endcap. Not that I'm complaining, but I just don't understand Target's clearance logic sometimes. ::)

Did they have a bunch of Kashyyyk troopers??

288?
Can you fit that many on an endcap?
-
$4.98!? Holy Schnikes!!! I hope that price hits around here. I'm glad I held off getting those. I had a feeling they'd end up on clearance fairly quick.
-

Yups..36 per shelf x8 shelves = 288 ;)

Get me a couple Kashyyyks, and I'll give you something for your trouble. :-*

Even at $6.98 I passed.

I didn't see quite as many as iFett did, but I saw a real ****load of 'em at my nearby Target here a couple nights ago...
Just tons of them, seemed like maybe 2 or 3 cases worth, got dumped at once for the $7-ish price. They had at least 5 or 6 full sets I figure, though after I left I know I pilferred some of their Marines, Airborne, and AT-RT Drivers... Pretty nice at that price because I can dig the Jedi bits for customs and the like. Good times.
-
At $5, I'd be tempted to Army build.
-
288?

Yups..36 per shelf x8 shelves = 288 ;)
He's not kidding. The Target by my work has one full endcap of these. I don't think there were 8 shelves, but they were stacked 2-3 high per shelf, all the way to the back. They're all $5, so I grabbed about 4-5 of each. Seems cheap, but 30 of them still cost $150 plus tax. Anyway, I decided to go check out the Action Figure aisle and found two more clearance endcaps with O-66 on them! Not full endcaps, but about a full shelf on each. I was almost tempted to put my $5 ones back in the hopes of getting them evencheaper - I don't know how they're going to get through that many figs even at $5. :o
-
I found an entire end cap jammed with these last night for $4.98. I just decided to try to get a price adjustment on the ones I already bought and get my $30 back. With the Honor Guard, Death Star Trooper, and Snowtrooper out right now, there are far superior uses for my cash than to army build more clones that weren't in the movies.
-
Picked up a couple of Palpatine and Mace sets on clearance for about $7 each. These were available at 2 different Targets I went to today. I didn't see any of the other sets.
-
might be going to buffalo soon. hopefully ill be able to snag some of these.
-
These are flying of the shelves at $7 around here. No one is waiting for $5.
-
Yeah, they're moving well here too..
Think about it though. You're likely getting Jedi Robes you wanted for Jedi figures you have already, even with a crap figure, and you're getting Clones... There's some genuinely good figures in that mix too. THe Airborne, the shocktrooper commander, the Marine... Around me, even with dumping whole cases on the shelf where there isn't enough room, they seem like they're moving fast.
Even ones I thought would sit like Spinach Trooper.
-
$7......$5....... :o
Man... I hope these turn up in the UK. Some of the ROTS Target stuff like the Neyo Trooper did eventually show up in the UK at TRU.
-
These didn't last around here in Pittsburgh at the full retail price, let alone either discounted price.
Sucks too, cause I would have built up the 501st Airborne, Galactic Marines, and a few Utapau AT-RT drivers.
-
I'd be happy to pick a few of these up for people at the $5 price...I can't believe how many are still left at the stores near me. :o
-
I'll bet a rainbow colored clone that we see these 6 clones on individual cards at some point down the road.
-
JediJman- Would you be willing to ship them (postage provided of course)?
-
I ended up picking up the Anakin/Airborne trooper pack this weekend, and we had quite a few of them on the shelves at our local store as well. They basically just dumped them all on the shelf below the basic figure pegs. Its funny, when they were at the front of the store, they sold out and were gone for a week or so, then all of a sudden there was a huge pile of them in the action figure aisle. If they hit the $5 mark here, I might pick up some more, but we'll see. The funny thing is, the only one I didn't see a single pack of was the Yoda/Camo Clone one, which also sold out first when they were at the front of the store here. That wouldn't have been the one I would have guessed to sell well.
-
I think the Yoda makes it a more likely candidate for the kiddies- that and Darth. The other 4 sets all have a middle aged to elderly gentleman in the mix, lowering the kid appeal.
-
A Target near me was unpacking these directly from the box, placing $6.98 stickers on them, and putting them on a clearance shelf.
This Target never had the front endcap of them like some other Targets.
-

I think this happened a lot. I know of at least two stores where I never saw these on the front lanes. I assumed they came and sold out too quickly, but now I think its more likely that they estimated a LOT of sales by having these up front and it backfired because people were either not interested or the product never made its way out. That's why I think some of these stores have so much extra...if you got in 10 cases and never put them up front, you'll have 20 of each figure sitting around come clearance time.
-
Picked up another Palpy set and Mace set today, but I really want another Anakin set as well. Unfortunately they were sold out. Anyone out there still finding the Anakin/Airbourne sets in their areas? Please send me a PM if you're willing to ship one my way... Thanks!
-
Hey, can anyone help me out with scoring 6 Mace windu/marine packs?? On clearance preferably :P
I really need the marines for customs
Thanks in advance
Adam
-
I'm looking for Yoda/wilted lettuce trooper. Can anyone help me out?
-
At the $7 price most of these moved in my area already so not suprisingly I saw nothing between a toy run this past weekend and tonight. Not one O66 is left in my area it seems... We had dumped TONS of them too but they mostly sold before the big slash, then at $2.50 they were a deal even if you didn't want them.
I Am Sith is hooking me up nicely with a couple extras he got, so if someone can help him find that Anakin/501st Airborne, that would be a nice gesture if anyone got an extra.
I wonder though, did Target see these as a success or failure? To our eyes a failure seems obvious but the stores always have unique ways of looking at things... Will they do more 2-packs like this though, or is it a dead idea now?
The figures weren't all that bad too... The blue Commander's a little weak, the spinnach trooper is debatable, but some of them are downright great figures really with nice paint aps and things. And the cloth robes and stuff are nice accessories.
-

Thanks for looking out for me Jesse, I appreciate it. Every 2-Pack in this area is gone, and most of them were gone well before the $2.48 clearance hit. BTW, your figs will be mailed today.
-
These moved pretty well at the $6.98 clearance price here, with just a few Shock/Palps and AT-RT/Obi-Wan sets left. After reading reports of the $2.48 price, I was hoping to pick some of those up, but after the aisle reset, they were all gone. I don't know if they were bought up, or relocated somewhere else, but I didn't see them anywhere in the toy section. No big deal, but I probably would have picked up a couple at that price had I seen them.
I kind of hope they are viewed as successful, because the two figures for $10 idea is something I like. It at least sounds like everyone was able to find at least one of each, if they wanted them, and that's good to hear with an exclusive.
-
All the Targets in my area are clearancing these out for $2.48 now. Too bad they were all gone by $7.98. :P
-
Mine had a ton of these this morning finally marked down, this place takes forever. They were totally out of Yoda and Anakin though...
-

Did they have any windu sets?? If so, could you pick some up for me. If yah do pick any up, let me know how much and I'll send you the money :D
