The Legacy Collection / Re: Exclusives, exclusives, exclusives...
« on: September 16, 2009, 09:20 AM »

I've already picked up a complete set of the Saga Legends. If they weren't numbered, I think the only two I would have bought were Mynock Hunt Han and Chewie - technically that is the first time figures from that scene have been individually carded. The rest of the figures were all in the Blue/White legacy collection or released on a card previously. But the damn numbering is what got me.

I've also picked up all of the Clone Wars figures sequentially up to the Spacesuit Ashoka (I think she's CW#23). That's seven more figures I didn't need. And now the Legacy Collection figures are starting to hit and in the first wave alone there are six more figures I don't really need mixed in the first twelve.

And don't even get me started on the Comic 2-packs! I mean really, come on Hasbro, did you really need to make the first wave contain EIGHT sets but only have THREE of them be new?!?!

I have had the same problem with numbering thing. :-[  I was able to let go of it on the Legends line since there is just way to many repacks in that line and now I gave up on the Comic Pack repacks, since they are to expensive to be buying repacks of.  I can not seem to let go of the numbering system on the Legacy or Clone Wars lines though.  So far I have bought all of the repack figures in these lines because I don't want to break up the numbering system on them.  I know I should probably let go of the numbering system thing, but I am obsessed with it for some reason I can't fully explain. ???  So I hear where your coming from Pete.  You are not alone on this type of collecting.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Legacy Collection Battle Packs
« on: September 16, 2009, 08:27 AM »

The Vulture's Claw set is kind of the anti-that...  And then the stuff like the Palpatine's Office Duel set is pretty lame top to bottom and easily passed on by just about everyone.

I like a BP like the Palpatine Duel because as a non opener it let's "me" set up an important scene without actually opening any figs.

I totally agree with Nick, since like him I am non-opener of the Battle Packs and I love how they set up a movie scene perfectly in small box that does not take up much space.  As long as Hasbro keeps making these I will keep on buying them. 8) :)

For those of you with DirecTv, they are having a free preview of Sunday Ticket this Sunday.

I just got DirecTV and noticed that, but unfortunately won't be able to take advantage of it since I work 11 am to 9 pm on Sundays. >:( :'(

Picked this up on Sunday at Toys R' Us for $79.99.  I am very happy to finally own this, since I missed out on them on clearance after Christmas. :)  I was worried that I had missed my chance at getting one of these for a reasonable price.  This thing is very awesome! 8)

Found a Commander Thire & IG-86 set this morning at WM.  Is that new  ???

That is part of the new wave with Ahsoka/Goldie, Kit Fisto/Grievous with 4-Lightsabers, and Yoda/ARF Trooper.

What's a Vince Young?

I believe it's a term used to describe a crappy over-rated QB.

Also known as a Michael Vick. :)

One of my all time favorite filmmakers.  I have seen all of his movies many times and liked all of them.  He will be missed, R.I.P. John Hughes. :'(

I'm still voting for Minneapolis.  I know the MN guys would be bummed, but I could drive that one.

We would be bummed?  I would love it if it were here!

I second that!  Please have it here in Minneapolis!

This thing looks awesome!  I thought Hasbro said they would never make anything like this. :o  I am so glad they changed their minds.

The Goonies is one of my all time favorite movies and I would like to see a sequel made, if it is done right.  What would be even more cool is if they made some action figures of characters from the original movie. 8)  I would buy those in a Heartbeat.

Go for it.

Awesome! :o :)

A little bit of news about a possible Goonies sequel, with the originals in the roles as parents this time around.  They mention having to get around the problem of making an "outdoor" adventure in these days of internet/cell phones/ipods/etc.  It is too bad a simple concept/movie like this, that was a big part of many of our childhoods, can't really make it with today's kids.

Very interesting article.  The Goonies is one of my all time favorite movies and I would like to see a sequel made, if it is done right.  What would be even more cool is if they made some action figures of characters from the original movie. 8)  I would buy those in a Heartbeat.

Still no signs of the new wave in my neck of the woods which is pretty odd.  Stoopid marbles taking up my tite space!  I blame this on you!   >:(

Anybody know how many Indy tites were released?  I found five for $10 this weekend at Kmart and would like to know if I have a complete set.

There are eight total. They are: Hanger Rocket Sled, Jungle Cutter, Last Crusade Biplane, Cargo Truck, Vogal's Tank, Mutt Williams Custom Motorcycle, German Flying Wing, and Indiana & Henry Jones on German Motorcycle.
