Whatever happened to Gillian Anderson?  Man she must be type cast worse than Mark Hamill

She was back over here (she’s from the UK) doing theatre (you call it “theater”…not sure why ;) ) during the spring / early summer but when that was over, after we’d sent her away again, we received no further news of her whereabouts.

I would buy a Ford Sport Ka (about $25,000) to replace my Ka Collection

Basically I'm pretty happy with what I've already got  ;)

Hopefully there will be more mods to come…

…I thought when an ex-mod (i.e. myself ;D) voted for someone, then that would score highly with the big PW.  But apparently not  :-[

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Music of the Duel

Kevin, I've checked the extras disc, and GL talks to JW about reprising the Duel theme in the "Beginning" doc (about 58 mins in)  :)

Now that you mention it, you might be right…my TPM DVD hasn’t been near a laser for quite some time.

I’ve always thought that DOTF was one of the redeeming features of TPM, so I’d be very happy for it to return.  The light v dark theme of it would fit right in with ROTS I think.  In fact, because the upcoming duel is going to get really personal, it might work even better than TPM, where Darth Maul was a cool creation, but lacked something as a “character”...i.e he was hardly a well developed character like Vader (or Anakin in ROTS).

That made some sense in my head…sorry   ;D

I remember an interview with JW at the time of the Ep1 DVD release (in fact it may be on the disc) where he says the Duel Of The Fates theme was something that was always intended to be returned to in Episode 3.

Can you convert the wmv file to an avi file using TMPGEnc? If so, then this program can convert to mpeg 2, compile the vob files, create a DVD image file, and then burn to disc all in one:
http://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=230988

It only imports divx / xvid avis, so you’ll need to get TMPGEnc to convert the wmv file to avi first.

If not, then your idea about getting it on to VHS is actually pretty good, because unless the file is of amazing quality, it’s going to look much better in the lo-res that you get with video tape.

I’m not sure how you can get around the password issue, but it is possible (generally) to make a DVD from a wmv file.

Before you can burn it you have to convert the file to mpeg-2 (DVD players can’t read wmv files).  I use http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_download.html to convert my movie files to DVD.  This program does free VCD encoding, and SVCD and DVD encoding as a free trial.  You can then use your burning software (Nero would be ideal) to import these mpeg-2 files and create a DVD-video from them.

Edit: you also need a DVD-authoring program to compile the vobs (the files on DVDs) from the mpeg-2 files. It’s the vob file that you need to import into Nero. Tmpgenc also to a DVD-authorizing program, again as a free trial.
