Yeah I am looking for Abomination as well, but up a thread in the trading section, no responces yet. :(

No, people want an arm and a leg for it.  A few show up on the spawn.com trade section (toys) but same deal, sell me your soul and you can have it.

No Nick, no rimshot yet.  Give it time. :P

Action-figure.com has a little story (w/pics) up of the Sinister Six box set.  I really hope that this shows around here, because I am really looking forward to it.  A great way to pick up a nice Spidey and several villains in one swoop.  Especially for me, I don't have any Spidey villain figures yet :P.  You can check it out HERE

Looks like they didn't get rid of Sabretooth's elbow spikes for Venom.  Not the end of the world, though.

Black Cat looks fugly.

They should have left the Doc Ock out and replaced him with some one else, especially with his ML figure coming out later.

Sandman
Vulture
Doctor Octopus
Green Goblin
Electro
Kraven the Hunter??????

I still want this set, my most looked forward to thing from Marvel this year (besides Hawkeye and Vision)

Yeah that pretty much sucks. I wouldn't mind getting it off ebay, but the shipping prices is what kills me. That is what holds me back on alot of auctions.

I agree, I would have liked to see some of the "real" Sinister Six made too, and replace some of the others in this set.  Black Cat looks a little iffy, and I would have just as soon they waited and put someone else in Doc Ock's place since the upcoming Legends one is far superior from the looks of things.  I'm still really looking forward to this set too, Toy Biz seems to do a pretty good job with these Marvel Legends box sets, as opposed to many of Hasbro's TRU Star Wars box sets ::).  I'd definitely like to see a Sandman, Mysterio, Vulture, etc. get made eventually though.

Yup, Black Cat is off.  It's mostly because of the cruddy job they did on the mask.  I think I've read comments, here or elsewhere, that they had to do the mask like that because it was a particular artist's version.  Well, IMO, they picked the wrong version.  I'm still pleased she's in there, but a crappy one than not at all.

Much to my dismay I found I missed the wave with black Spidey and Rhino.  I was at TRU yesterday and something weird caught my eye.  That weird thing was the spiderman with the interchangeable Peter Parker parts.  Dang.  I had no idea they would be here already and all the other retailers are focusing on the movie line ::)  Speaking of which, the Doc Ock wave showed up.  It's a very well done figure, but I'm not overly attached to the movie versions.

As a third note, I took back my defective X-men Legends set, the one with the funky Legolas headed Magneto.  Given that Amazon/TRU had dramatically dropped the price, I figured there would be no way anyone would pay me enough on ebay to make my money back.  I would have had to list it for around $40 US and didn't see that flying very well.   :-\

Well if people really want a Black Cat figure, they can always go for the Marvel Select version.

Yeah, but that one takes it too far to the other extreme.  If I want to buy an adult superstar toy, I'll just do that.  They are nice pieces and all, but I enjoyed the character, the storyline AND the artwork.  I didn't pick up Spidey issues only with the black cat and only with her breasts hanging out.

Sorry, but that era was the switch in comics (mainstream) from a focus on good writing to bodacious tatas.  Suddenly a surreal, pornstar body came with all superpowers at no extra charge.  This is of course, just my opinion, but it was one of the reasons I stopped reading comics.

I found the black costume Spider-Man at K-Mart yesterday. Ultimate Rhino was long gone.

Morgbug- I'd love to get a Carnage from you. Please LMK if you find another one.

Thanks.

I'll have to keep an eye out now that the Black Costume Spidey/Rhino series is hitting.  Out of curiosity (I got into Spidey figs a little late), they haven't actually done an "Ultimate Spider-man" Spidey yet have they?  Now with this Ultimate Rhino coming out, and I believe and Ultimate Lizard coming up, I was wondering if they had actually done Spidey yet.  That's a figure I wouldn't mind seeing done.

Will keep my eyes open for Mr. Carnage for you Ben.  MOMC or opener?

I'm not sure we need an 'ultimate' spiderman.  We have so many and I worry that it will be packed with some ridiculous accessory like the new black spiderman ::)  Spidey uses a glider when?  Oy.  It would be interesting to see what they can do with one, but you could snag the Urban Legends set for super cheap and get the parachute spidey repainted.  A few here such as Scott and others like it the best and I think the paint is better on the UL set.  The daredevil paint is certainly better than the original spiderman release, but it's hard to find a plain, red daredevil.  Everyone wants him to be burgundy for some reason.  Weird.

I ordered the X-men Legends box today btw.  $22 and change after shipping but I used my gift certificate to keep it cheap.  Still not sure about the urban legends box as I already have the white elektra.  I presume some time down the road I could sell the second one off and probably pay for the entire set at that price.  Still mad at Amazon for not filling my Red Skull order :'(

Cross pollinating threads here, but the There and Back Again LOTR set was on sale for $19.99.  Getting better.

Whichever comes first, as long as the figure is in display-worthy condition. :)

I might have to pick that UL set up, for the Spider-Man and Punisher. $10? Can't beat that with a stick.
