I'm proud to announce that my wife gave birth to our first child, Darren, last Friday at 5:18 pm in Whittier, California. Darren came into the world screaming for about 10 seconds and then opened his eyes looking everywhere wondering where he was. He weighed in at 6 pounds 4.4 ounces and measured 19.5 inches.
Mom, baby, and I are doing great. My wife and I are still adjusting to the baby. It was an exciting but exhausting weekend, and we couldn't be happier! ;D I already had much respect for all you parents out there, but now I have way way more. I was bummed I had to give up my Star Wars room for him, but it was all worth it! May be now, mom will be more lenient on Star Wars collecting, hehe. Here's a couple of pictures of Darren. --Kingsley

Congrats to you and Queen Maul, King! Was Darren a week or two early? I may be brainfarting, but I thought you weren't quite up to your due date yet. I suppose this means we won't be seeing you on Sunday now, eh? I'll have to drop you a line and catch up, and figure out some alternate plans for swapping some loot with ya'.
Enjoy fatherhood, and good luck!

Awesome news King! Congrats to you and your wife.

Congratulations! Nothing's better than a happy, healthy baby. Glad to hear that mom is doing well too.

Congratulations on the little Prince! But beware, the Queen may be looking for a Princess to complete the kingdom...

Congratulations! Great news, and glad to hear that eveyone is doing great. God bless you and your family.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful and happy thoughts and comments. I asked my wife to read over the thread, and it brought a big smile to her face (and mine as well) this morning. She thanks you all! :)
We've learned so far that the baby needs a lot of diapers, feeding, and rest throughout the day. It's pretty much non-stop. My wife's definitely been a trooper.

Congrats ;D

Yup, Matt, Darren was 19 days early and caught us a little off guard. We were going to spend one last weekend tidying up the house and do some last minute shopping for him. We're good now though. As for Sunday, I'm still going to try to make it out there. I've haven't had any SW runs lately, and I'm missing my SW hit except for the occasional peek into the forums. Hopefully, my wife has seen that I've been a good boy and will be fine with it.

Here are a few updated photos of Darren (his 1st Halloween). He's 11 months old today! He weighs 20 pounds now, has 2 upper teeth/3 lower teeth, is just growing up so fast. It's just a joy to be around the little guy even though it's hard to get any quiet time or rest while he's awake. He doesn't like baby food in a jar, but he does like noodles, rice, and Cheerios. Unlike his pops, he takes more liking to Jedi than Sith :D.

Great pics! Oh, how quickly they grow.

Adorable.

What a cutie :) It's amazing how fast they grow -- enjoy every minute you can get with him.
-
Very cute.
Where is Daddy's Dagobah Luke costume? ;)

Thanks all!
Since Darren started crawling, he's getting into everything. We've been keeping a watchful eye, but it's so cool to watch. I'm sure he'll do well in a crawling competition. We'll really have to watch when he begins to walk!
