The Vintage Collection / Re: 2020 TVC 3.75" Carbonized Collection

I likely would have passed had I not blinked and missed out on the Mandalorian pre-order last December. I know there are currently 2nd-chance offerings online, and the potential of it hitting regular retail, but $14 + shipping -- for a regular! -- is more than the $18 for one carbonized.

Too bad Walmart's free shipping doesn't kick in until $35. So to capitalize on the freebie delivery, I had to get a 2nd figure. I mean, if you think about it, Walmart's practically giving away half of one figure.

And, well, 2 is already half way there, might as well get the other two.

This is the way.

Yeah, I didn't see the Mandalorian become available until 1:09/1:10 Pacific.

It'd be funny if bots grabbed them all only to have those orders cancelled by Walmart and figures put back in stock.

A Haslab Cantina might also be a vehicle to get some of those "blink and you'll miss them" Cantina aliens that have been eluding collectors for a long time as well.

A cantina playset wouild be great. I was thinking, though, that it could be released through regular retail as connectable bite-size portions ala the Jabba palace, carbonite, and Tantive corridor sets.

I believe you are referring to the work over at "Star Wars Plastic Playsets." That Death Star is truly an achievement.

Yes, that's the one! Thanks.

A guy from a youtube video source of mine says that the project will be a playset/diorama, and it's not the Death Star.

That said, several weeks ago I happened across someone's facebook page. He designed and 3d printed a Death Star playset. It's like the Emperor's version of the Malibu Dreamhouse.

He has a couple of minor misgivings, but this thing is still impressive.

I'll try to hunt down the page. He uploaded the files for anyone ambitious enough to spend the next few months printing it out.

I think Nick just came up with Hasbro's latest product -- edible action figures.

Oh, dang. The disappointment and scorn after she brings it in then realizes it's a toy spaceship for you.

On the positive side, it's back in stock online.

I am loving this. I can't get enough of different astromechs so those are easy buys.

As action figures bb droids are meh. I pretty much had my fill of them after the Disney 4-pk and I've avoided last year's holiday release and the upcoming Halloween droid. But I like the deco on these and will pick them up.

The low price point does worry me. Were they able to reduce the cost because of the bland packaging -- I'm an opener and don't care -- or did they use inferior plastic? (Looking at you, jawa from the Disney sandcrawler.)

Look at the prices of boxed Mandalorian speeders and the Mandalorian Assault Transport.  :o

I passed on extra speeders for $6-$7 each at Ross. I bought the assault transport when TRU sold 2 vehicles taped end-to-end. And I remember being annoyed at having to pay $27-$30 -- which was more than the cost of one vehicle -- because I didn't like 2nd ship coupled with it. Hahaha.

Stranger is that this is EE's LEGO booth. Out of place but intentionally included. Maybe just Entertainment Earth's own creation of the DS playset using LEGO? A collaboration between Hasbro and LEGO for a LEGO Death Star playset? Or Entertainment Earth just trolling?

Snooze. Lose. That's what happened to me. Well, I actually woke up in time but just completely forgot about the pre-order.

Oh, well. Hope there are more. I can't be the only one still looking to get one.

Cool. Everyone should have a shot at getting our favorite space pirate... and I'm not talking about Captain Shakespeare of the Caspartine. (Though I would buy a 3-3/4" figure of him in a heartbeat.)

This is Galaxy's Edge themed? Ugh, now I want one.

Hopefully Hondo isn't exclusive and sees widespread release.

I would go for a 40"-45" Tantive IV. But it would need a lot of play features to entice me. (I buy toys, not models). Cool things would be: ejectable escape pods; lights and sounds; sliding corridor doors; command center; missiles; and certainly a magnetic overhead and rebel trooper  ;D.

My money's on the RazorCrest being the next HasLab project, but I got to wondering if Hasbro will dip into the Jabba theme one more time. Maybe a larger erectable playset of his *palace* on one side and the dune sea and sarlaac on the other.

The fan reaction is great.  About 3700 now when it was just over 1700 this morning. Stimulus money? Great timing Hasbro.  ;)

While large, the size makes the postal rate more reasonable than Jabba' barge to send to Haslab buddies overseas.

I was thinking earlier that $350 was crazy money to spend on a 26" figure and glad we don't have that in Star Wars. Now I'm shaking my fist at Lucasfilm for not giving us an iconic mega-large character that can be made into a super cool action figure. And no, Warbot does not count.
