"Just show the characters fans go crazy for Maul and Mandalorians."

In reality, those episodes will air in March of 2013.

You know, there's a reason they call clips like these "Teasers".

;D

Thanks for sharing, Nick... Hmm, just the Maul brothers and Mandalorians so far... and the Etas.  Not much of a teaser, to get me excited, but I was hoping for some saber action or some bounty hunters.  I'm sure we'll see those soon enough.

Actually, those fighters looked more like the Mandalorian fighters to me than anything else.  I think we saw those in season 2.

This looks like it will be a cool set of droids.  The hat toppers are silly, but you have to figure they were part of the deal for Disney to pick these up.  And so the little hole in the astromech droid domes finally serves a purpose!

Wow.  The modern General Madine came out in 2003/04?!?!  I agree that it could stand to be resculpted.

There are several named SHIELD agents.  Obviously, Nick Fury, Black Widow & Hawkeye.  And you could probably include Maria Hill and Coulson in there, too.

As for a Helicarrier pack-in figure?  One does seem likely.  Hasbro did include that Iron Man figure with the Quinjet.  But I took a look at that particular Iron Man, and it is a CRAP figure.

How about the future in the short term?  There may be a summer reset in the works at WalMart stores in the next two weeks.  The focus will largely be on the summer movie season, but all properties are likely to see some new stock.

Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises are very likely going to be two completely different animals.  The Batman series has largely been a character study of Bruce Wayne/Batman by director/writer Christopher Nolan.  And the new film seems like a further development in that story that's been established by Nolan.

I just don't see how that's a reasonable comparison with Avengers which is the next story in a series of some 6 preceding films (with 5 directors) that developed the characters that we will see come together in this story.  The whole concept of bringing together these characters that can carry a movie on their own into this kind of format makes it a unique experience.

I get the feeling that I'll probably enjoy them both.  I think both movies have some great casts.  But I think I'll also appreciate the differences in the style of the stories.  Different does not necessarily mean better or worse.

I did a little refresher reading, and it seems that Meera & Jojen Reed could still come into play very soon.  Their presence at Winterfell in this week's episode may not make sense, since the storyline of the raiding Ironmen is only just beginning.  It was those raids that prompted Howland Reed to send Meera & Jojen away.  And Theon and Yara's ships were only just departing from Pyke in this latest episode.

The Reed children would have to turn up in the next few episodes if they're going to be a part of the series.  And considering their part in Bran's journey you would think they would get introduced.  And then there's the matter of how their story may eventually link up with Howland Reed.  His story may be interwoven with the a key story from Robert's rebellion.

4 out of 10.  Not bad.  And it looks like the Padme fetish is subsiding.

Curto even joked about that today, too.  Sounds more like it was "Broken News" than anything else.

Season 3 confirmed!  :D

http://grrm.livejournal.com/276653.html

I finally got around to reading this.  Of course the news that Game of Thrones has been picked up for a third season is fantastic news.  You certainly had to expect it since the viewer numbers have gone up significantly from the first season.  But this sentence from George R.R. Martin was great to read:

Quote
Like the first two seasons, it will be ten episodes long. This one will cover (roughly) the first half or thereabouts of A STORM OF SWORDS, the third novel in the series.

It looks like HBO is taking the long view on the series.  And splitting up the television series like this will definitely give George R.R. Martin some time to catch up writing book 6 & book 7.

It's definitely a little odd that it would be a seperate piece.
