The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Is Yoda a coward?
« on: September 15, 2008, 10:13 PM »
None of this even touches on the Skywalker kids (who I think Yoda did not want trained, but that is a different subject entirely.)

Hmm...if Obi-Wan & Yoda learn about the living force only after they go into hiding, how did Anakin learn about the living force (since his spirit appears at the end of ROTJ)?  Who taught Anakin?!

Shhh... You're making too much sense...

As a tribute to Rick Wright...

Holy ****, much like Syd, I didn't see this one coming. I guess this squashes any talk of a Floyd reunion.

Sad to see one of the greatest keyboard players for one of the greatest bands go.

RIP Richard  :'(

The newest rumor and speculation after Eva Longoria-Parker was seen/photographed leaving Marvel Studios offices with some Avengers comics is that she may be playing the Wasp in the upcoming Avengers movie (or possibly cameos in other movies?).  Nothing confirmed at this point, but you'd think she would have to be at the Marvel Studios offices for a reason.

Hell yes!

Saw the remnants of this wave at Target, a lone Salaucami Trooper. Also saw some Evo Troopers with RA-7 parts.

Well, I finished listening to Death Magnetic my first time around last night. I'd have to say, it exceed my expectations. While there are some songs that sound like the Load/ReLoad era (Cyanide, Unforgiven III), most of the other songs are full on classic Metalli-thrash. My favorite tracks are That Was Just Your Life, Day That Never Comes, All Nightmare Long, and the Battery/Damage Inc. esque My Apocalypse. Overall, I think this album is worthy standing up alongside Kill 'Em All, MOP, and RTL in any metalheads collection.

Sorry to hear about this, but best of luck to you. You and the rest of the JD staff have really done a bang-up job with the site.

It's really good.  :o

Agreed. I can't wait for friday, I plan to pick the album up after work and get right to listening to it.

In addition to the new Death Magnetic tracks, I've been spinning this...

Saw these guys open at the Priest concert back in August, they put on a great show. I wasn't familiar with any of their back catalogue, so I picked up their newest album, The Formation Of Damnation.
