I am utterly amazed they took the time to change the color and the pilot. I was expecting the bare minimum effort they gave to the TRU TIE exclusives ("now with dirty paint ops!"). Really surprised to see some actual effort in this repaint.

I couldn't distinguish that much detail from the image to say if the pilot was male or female.

It’s the same fig as the other one had, and they’re all female because Hasbro didn’t want to sculpt a new pilot... at least that’s what I’m assuming since all protos showed the same pilot figures... that one looks a tad different tho. A diff color jumpsuit (and hey, change the race of the pilot too?) would’ve been cool but either way I’m glad to get the variant ship which is at Black Spire too. 🤷♂️

I see on Yakface.com (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2019/04/03/walmart-ee-exclusive-red-resistance-a-wing-hitting-ross-for-7-99/) that the former Walmart exclusive Red A-Wing is showing up at Ross for $7.99 before EE's even had the chance to fill their $30 pre-orders.
I can only imagine how many EE pre-orders are getting cancelled after this news. Way to work with your fan channel partners, Hasbro! ::)

I got the same cancellation notice along with a cancellation for the 5-pack with Kylo Ren, Rey, Poe Dameron, First Order Snowtrooper & holographic Maz Kanata.
And these things are turning up at clearance outlets? SMH...

I haven't seen anything about the Maz set showing up (also got the cancelation notice, just posted in the thread for that item) at discount outlets...
I went straight to eBay and bought the cheapest A-Wing I could find just now, it only cost me about $10 more than it was going to cost with EE... I've been walking to the Ross near my office every day for a couple weeks now and while they do have some weird random clearance SW stuff, no sign of the A-wing at mine.

I was referring to the A-wing showing up at discount stores. I couldn't find the 5-pack thread until you bumped it up.
And I just did the same thing on eBay. I don't have the time to hunt at every TJ Maxx and Tuesday Morning. We don't have Ollie's, and Ross Stores aren't exactly around the corner.

I do... A-Wing is my favorite, it's classic red, and it technically seems to have a unique pilot if the helmet color matters... so I want one.

The A-wing in the red deco like this was a no-brainer for me, too. Vehicles have always been one of my favorite segments of the line.

For anyone who was curious about the difference with the pilot, I got mine today... I consider them different pilots - Blue A-Wing on the left, Red A-Wing on the right. Different skin tone, helmet color, and uniform color - can't really tell if the face sculpt is the same, but it doesn't look the same to me. Weird that the blue A-Wing pilot has the red helmet, and the red A-Wing pilot has the blue helmet...

I check Ross here every weekend and ours didn’t seem to get these. Nobody I onow locally saw them either, but who knows. Watch them turn up by the truckload eventually. I wanted it but at this point I won’t pay much for it either. I liked the blue one so I got a few of it and I’m content.

I'm hoping we get the "Rob Precedent" applied to this one- now that Rob has bit the bullet and paid $10 over EE price for his, it should be popping up at 50% off again somewhere soon.
