The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6 Inch Figures?
« on: February 1, 2013, 05:13 PM »
http://www.vulture.com/2012/11/disney-chief-on-how-he-kept-star-wars-7-secret.html

From reading that article, with very few people knowing, I believe Disney had nothing to do with it. I don't think they would let Hasbro in on the sell way back when they started talking about it.

I honestly think it's just another thing hasbro is doing to make money on the Star Wars brand

They have done different scales before, so this is nothing new.

They did the galactic heroes, jedi force and what not for kids, and now they are going to do another scale for the collector.

I ordered most of the 3.75 wave from TRU.com.
I am loving this line, amazing stuff

The Gandalf in the 2 pack is slightly different than the single carded one

the 2 pack is battle-damaged, brown on the coat, slightly beat up right side of his face.

I really truly hope they get a LOTR license.

Don't get me wrong, some of those Toy Biz figures are amazing, but the 3.75 size are always my fave

Wow, I'll probably get the game, be fun to play. but merchandise?

But this has Star Wars M-pire written all over it.

But, if it does well and makes a ton of money, maybe we can get some new figs made in other lines

awesome pics shmashwitdaclub

makes me even more mad that my TRU doesn't have this stuff in stock yet.

I really do hope that we could get an amazing LOTR 3 3/4 set.

The way I see this playing out

They do the hobbit movies, then they release the LOTR trilogy in 3D. ( which will help us get a toy line)

I am calling it right now lol. FIRST

I picked up the 3.75 in Gandalf figure. Also got the Grinnah the Goblin figure too. Got them at TRU, they only had the single pack figs. No 2 packs or any 6 inch.
Also had Bilbo, Thorin and Legolas. Passed on all those because I want the 2 packs.

9.99 is alot, but these are some solid figures. Very happy with them.

Check your Barnes and Noble for Catwoman Movie Masters. I found her at my local one. Also, TRU is starting to get the catwoman movie masters too, so keep an eye out for her.

It would be pretty interesting to move the show forward in time like that.
IF they did something like that, I hope it wouldn't be a "vader hunting down jedi of the week" type of thing
Could show vader spiraling downwards into darkness learning to cope with his suit, sort of like the book that was set right after ROTS. and more evil Palpatine.

Could be interesting

Jesse,
Check up ebay for past premiere guild offerings.
This one might be tough to track down due to the fact that they are doing 5 offerings. I'd keep an eye on it. It might be one of the harder star wars ones to get
I believe I am going to sign up for the guild again, cuz I want the light up republic trooper, but that gamo guard is pretty sweet.

The Wookiee Arcade / Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
« on: December 21, 2011, 02:56 AM »
Right now,
I am a level 26 Sith Warrior Marauder on the PVP server Veela.

So far, This game is amazing. the story, the atmosphere of it all, is Star Wars. It is a blast to play and the Collectors edition rocks, the Malgus Statue by Gentle Giant is outstanding. The book that came with the Collectors edition is awesome too, gives a background to the timeframe we are in, so for people who are jumping in, you get a nice little crash course.

This looks to be a solid property to get some awesome toys from too.

I loved The whole dark forces series, I really wish we could see a new story with Kyle someday. with all the amazing FPS game companies put out, it would be tough, but Lucasarts really did knock out some great hits.

Speaking of JO and JA, I liked the multiplayer maps on JO better than JA, but I agree with Jesse, JA is a better game with the customizing.
The downloadable maps and skins people have made, some are just amazing
This website has addons for both JO and JA (http://jediknight3.filefront.com/)

I miss the good ole Lucasarts games, developed in house.
Hell, I would love to see another SCUMM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCUMM) from lucasarts
I loved Indiana Jones and the fate of atlantis

Thanks,
Jim
