Star Wars Rebels / Re: Star Wars Rebels Toy Rumors!
« on: February 13, 2016, 09:27 PM »
7th Sister looks great. Super awesome we are getting removable helmet Sabine, although it looks like a poor sculpt of her face. Stormtrooper Kanan had to happen, thank you.

Maul looks like a cool figure but wtf retire this clown already.

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: Toy Fair 2016 - 6" Black Series

Man, I want to love that Sabine figure so much but that paint job is just crude (I realize it's only a prototype) and it just doesn't look like her. Really wish they had gone the animated route with her and Kanan to preserve the aesthetic.

Still, props for the removable helmet.

Leia and Luke just look weird.

My bi-polar reaction:

Wow! Those look incredible! I must have these!

Wow...2 measley figures? That's all you guys had to show off after all this time? Weak!

I'm already frustrated knowing we will never get a full complement of the principal characters. But those 2 are great efforts for sure.

I'm not even going to try and fight it. Gimme!

Found another full case of Wave 5 at lunch today, and a variant 2-tone straps Asty plus a single random Snowtrooper Commander @ TRU. Bought all. Yay!

All ReAction stuff is 30% off right now at Barnes and Noble, if you need 'em.  :)

Just puttin' this out there...you Minnesota cats seem to be blessed with a lot of Green Helmet Resistance Troopers. I would gladly trade any of the new Wave 5 figures for a greenie, PM me if interested. ;)

I just want to see those pictures from the "Judgement At Nuremberg" Toy Fair going on right now. They've got 6" Rogue One figures on display! Schwing!

( I know photos are technically prohibited but it is 2016, come on millennials)

And of course as soon as I put in the online order I find these in person. Walmart had like 5 cases of this wave out this morning, exactly what I always wanted to see stores do rather than this one measly case at a time nonsense. Props to them for helping me get everything I wanted in one fell swoop.  :)

We are getting stiffed badly on Wave 5 here...I finally broke down and ordered 2 flame troopers off Amazon this morning.

I'm not sure what the snow totals are here so far because the wind is so freaking brutal it just blows everything all around in huge drifts, but we have to be north of 18" so far. Crazy storm for this part of the country. I love it though...as long as we have power.  :)

The Force Awakens / Re: Where is Rey?
« on: January 21, 2016, 06:35 PM »
I have two daughters and the question for me isn't so much about boys playing with girl figures, but girls playing with girl figures. What if my girls want a 20" Sabine or 12" Hera? If you can't find a way to connect with that part of your audience you're just not trying IMO.

Just like JJ Abrams wanted a diverse cast to represent the world we live in today, I think it's fair to expect equal representation on the toy aisles.

I've never liked the idea of gender specific toys or that kind of marketing anyway. Instead of resigning yourself to "only boys care about these toys" maybe try figuring out a way to engage other demographics too. It's good business and it shows a respect for the property as well as the customer I think.
