Two more corrections (Both Matt's entries)

Quote
Here's my "actors should never sing" one-hit wonder contributions:

Eddie Murphy - Party All the Time

Eddie Murphy actually had ANOTHER big single that was on the radio quite a bit in the mid 90's, with none other than the King of Pop himself. The song?  Whazzupwitu.  It was actually in the top 10 singles for awhile when it was released.  The album cover was baby blue with red hearts all over it.  Scary.....

Quote
Kris Kross:  Jump

Many people actually remember Kris Kross for the SECOND single (Warm it up), and some may even remember the third single off that album "I missed the bus" (which borrowed so heavily from Young MC's "Principle's office" that many folks accused them of stealing the lyrics.

Their second album featured a single "Alright" as well as "The Bomb", but neither got them as much play as the 1st album did.

That's my totally Krossed out update.  :)

How about these two more recent ones

Who Let the Dogs Out? by the Baha Men
Whoof Whoof Whoof Whoof Whoof
Mambo No.5 by Lou Bega

I can think of some older grunge songs...

Far Behind by Candlebox

They had some pretty large other songs (You) but this one still gets airplay every now and then

Tomorrow by Silverchair

I already listed Mambo No.5 by Lou Bega....  :P

But I'd like to nominate another Grunge artist "Seven Mary Three" with Cumbersome.

Good call, although disturbing that you know the name of his song already.

How many seasons of Idol before no one cares anymore?  For me....it was 1.

My one hit wonder has to be:

I'm too sexy by Right Said Fred

What a great song!  It even inspired tons of crappy tee shirts!!

Not true, he also had a hit with Lawyers, Guns and Money.  He might of had more, but those two are the most played on classic rock stations.

See now, I think some of us are having a difference in opinion as to what constitutes a hit Mike, 'cause I'd say Brent's very much right on with that Warren Zevon song.  Lawyers, Guns and Money never even charted, which I think is totally necessary in order to be termed a "hit".  This is the same argument I would make against Josh's last two corrections of my entries.  I think if a song never even sees the pages of a Billboard magazine - it just don't count!  Despite receiving some limited airplay in some markets.

That's just my definition of a "hit" though, but it's the generally accepted definition most of the time too (like when you see "One Hit Wonder" books in the stores and such...   ;)

My next entry:

Gary Numan's Cars   8)

I have never heard his other song, so I can't really complain.  I don't think though, as Matt said, it charted all that well.  Though I've resoundingly proven not to be an authority in this game.

Stuck in the Middle  Stealers Wheel.

Again, an oldie but I suspect with fairly universal airplay?

WHA'?!?  OK, I looked it up...  Hit #6 WAAAAYYYY back in early 1973.   ::)  I'll tell you what who the "oldie" around here is...   :-*

Guess I'll let it slide, but c'mon Brent - you gotta pick some songs that the rest of us were at least around for!  I suppose if I was listening to the radio when I was 2 1/2 I might've heard this one...   :-\

Next song:

Informer by Snow...   :P

Snow?  Snow falls on the ground.  Sheesh Matt, I may be old but at least the stuff I list gets airplay.

Something perhaps from the years when Matt had teeth...

Echo Beach Martha and the Muffins. ;D
