I got the Vader at Wally today and I have too many Vaders but this is a very impressive piece. Great companion to the Obi-Wan from a few months ago. Vader has a ball jointed head and swivel wrists. He can do some good poses.

I've seen some griping around (imagine that) about this wave. There won't be a trace of these left come Christmas. All of these characters sell down, especially Vader and the troopers. Hoth Leia is a great figure a lot of people are still catching up on.

I was under the impression that this Darth Vader was a reissue of the ROGUE ONE version, but now with the Force Link 2.0.  Is that not the case?

He's brand new. I also thought he was a reissue, but he's 100% a new sculpt. Worth it if you're a Vader fan or like me, your thousand other Vaders are in a box somewhere.

Interesting.  I'm going to have to try finding it in that case.

Back to this repack with Force Link 2.0 business...

I bought the K-2SO for the paint variation... Luke and Snoke and Kylo Ren I've passed on so far.

My understanding is that Snoke is the same as the BB8 Playset but with Forcelink 2.0, Luke is the same as the previous one but also with the update.

Is Kylo Ren the same as any of the past iterations (aside from the Forcelink 2.0)?

I'm trying to figure out if just the new chip is enough of a variation to bother with...

Kylo is the figure/sculpt that came with the TLJ ForceLink 1.0 set.

I have to wonder if we're going to see this in the SOLO line look, but I saw Yakface report yesterday that several figures from 'RESISTANCE' are on the way, including:
Kazuda Xiono
Torra Doza
Von Kreeg
First Order Stormtrooper
Synara
Commander Pyre (red First Order Pilot?)

Considering the way Hasbro approached figures for both Clone Wars and Rebels?  I think these figures are going to be stylized like previous ones from past animated series.

Within the last hour, Tunghori just listed the wave 4 figures. Hopefully that means a retail appearance soon.

It was tempting to see those in Tunghori's store.  Beckett looked pretty good!  And based on them turning up there, I would think that these will probably show up in the usual U.S. retail chain around the beginning of November.

There's at least 7 new figures in that wave 4 case, maybe 8. I'm hope a full case purchase will make sense.

Grabbed this whole wave except Quay and the Mudtrooper Han tonight. Great batch of figures, but kind of wondering why they weren’t out day one.

I would chalk it up to Hasbro's lead times and the abbreviated gap between Solo and VIII. Had Solo been a December release movie with a September merch street date, these would have been that wave that hits right when the movie comes out, while the earlier waves would have been the "Force Friday" waves.

The other culprit is Infinity War. Disney and Hasbro's focus was on that in spring/summer, and I imagine there was some negotiating of priorities. I don't mind Hasbro is playing catch up around the home entertainment release at all, and really I just hope they keep up with offerings from Solo. This the most fun I've had collecting of the new films so far.

Exactly. I know for a fact that Disney Execs had to be reminded that if TFA and CA: Civil War were both released in May, they'd be competing with themselves. I have no idea why they changed their minds with Solo.
