Yeah, that's been around for quite some time.
Nowhere near as cool as this bad boy, though:

My brother **** his pants when he saw that del Sol. He drives one, and thought OBISHWN wrecked that car.
Whatever.

Screw that junk - everyone remember this one from ebay a while back? Built from a Ford Escort

Image removed, please be more careful of what you post.

I just need to point something out:
You all may think that Zod's pic is a bit off-topic, but not if you read a little more into this thread:
IOC:

Famine:

Me:

I did a google search for the landspeeder that was sold on ebay motors about a year ago - hotlinked someone else's image of it to this thread - and apparently the site is set up to prevent hotlinking by showing you an image of something that is very much not what I intended...
Whoops.
-
I had no idea that he had made a semi in that same style. You learn something new everyday.

I MISS MICHAEL FRIGHT
BTW, saw this over at GH and thought it was pertinent to the conversation...

Ha. I actually saw that car in person here in L.A. at some point. It was at Citiwalk at Universal Studios, on display during either the AOTC or TPM premiere. Don't recall which one now. The R2 is definitely a new addition to it.
Pretty funny geek mobile to be sure... I like the Holographic Obi-Wan dashboard accessory there. :P

Psst....
Here's some more info on that guy. He used to be a prop builder for Star Trek and a toy designer for Mattel and Playmates. Read the article below to learn a little bit more about this guy and some of the other SW things he's had a chance to do:
Star Wars that Almost Was (http://www.tradefederation.net/pages/features/Playmates/)
Very interesting to see that the Playmates' prototype was VERY similar to what we now have as the Hasbro unleashed line...
You can learn more about his car here (http://www.shawnandcolleen.com/shawn/Pages/hwing/).
It's pretty funny how often this car comes up. It's been all over the SW Community and then some appearing on all sorts of sites (http://www.shawnandcolleen.com/shawn/Pages/hwing/threads.html).
Pretty good for a "dork" :)
