We could use some bodies for this one.  Draft is October 20.

So much for that huh?

This stupid game has been making me crazy lately.  I've been spending way too much time analyzing this stuff.  So, I'm taking a long break from fantasy sports until further notice.  I'm going to drop out of basketball and won't be playing unless you guys really really need the extra team.  I'll pay minimal attention to the NFL situation.  Other than that, I need a break from this stuff for a while.  I don't think I'll be playing baseball next year.

Still looking for one or two more.  Rookies welcome; this was the first JD league I played in and won it the first year.

Less than 24 hours to draft time.  C'mon, or are ya afraid of losing to a Canadian?

It's not fear of losing to Canadians so much as it is fear of Canadians.

That said, I'm probably going to have to miss the draft tomorrow.  :-\

I'll be there, unless the damn thing is bumped up 2 hours like the football one.

Mike from our baseball league "Roid Rage" is going to join today and play with us.  So we'll have 8.

Why do I feel like my season is going to hang on the actions of a lunatic?

I'm not as nuts as you make me out to be Brent.

Gilbert Arenas, however, is.

Trade offers anyone?

I'd love to move Lee and or bench players, but am open to any offers.

I want to move Carmelo or Amare.  Or both.

If I'm looking at this right, Brent and I are in a situation where if David Lee can get ONE assist before the end of this game, I'll be in second and he'll be in third.

Talk about a close one... can I be on the good end of two of these by-a-hair scenarios this week???

And to think, if I'd only known Gerald Wallace wasn't going to play...

Tell me about it, my team may have crapped out on me in my dorky Star Wars league, but in my dorky Dental Colleague league, I was up all night watching this one:

Standings                                                     All Time Full Standings
Rank   Team                       Points   Pts Change

1.     Intangible                    65          1
2.     The Promoter               64          0
3.     TeaBaggin Hypocrites    57.5     -0.5
4.     The Miscreant              57          0
5.     Bay Ballers                  55.5        0.5
6.     nothing but net            46           1
7.     Roto_n00b                   42           0
8.     Singdison                    39.5        -2
9.     BlueThunder                35.5      -0.5
10.   Paper Bagit                 33          0.5

I went into the night tied for first and picked up a whole bunch of 3 point shooters, scored 18 three pointers and won it.  Best part is, it was all made possible earlier this week with a 10 three pointer effort by Ty Lawson.

I'll take it.

And congrats on this one Scott.

And to think, if I'd only known Gerald Wallace wasn't going to play...

I had the same feeling the day before, when the Spurs could have played a game to affect the standings by using their starters but actually rested them, so Ginobili didn't play, meaning I lost out on a game that day.

And yeah, I was watching last night too.  Early on I had gotten past you by a little more and was up by one, but then the assists tied it up and I couldn't bear to watch with Lee still having a quarter to get a single assist.  But I think I got it for good karma for explaining how to tweak out extra games out of positions for you.

Congrats to Scott on the win and pretty much season long lead.  I really regretted not making that first trade you offered me way back in the fall.

As for my team, I find it absolutely stunning that I managed to finish in the medals let alone in second place overall.  My team sucked.  My draft sucked (Durant notwithstanding).  Lopez turned out to be rather bad for a second round pick.  He only played 48 games for me despite not missing a game to injury this year.  The worst part is he only accumulated 270 rebounds in those 48 games, a paltry 5.8 rebounds per game for a center.  Blech.  My third round pick - Kidd - same deal.  Assists were fine but his shooting was so bad (.358) that I only used him for 48 games.  Only Durant and Ginobili played more than 70 games for my team.  The rest of it was a patchwork of guys filling different slots on a by need basis.  Not an approach I'd rec comend.

Congrats Scott!  Hopefully that makes up for the squeaker in Hockey a little bit.  :-*

The worst part is that I made a mistake that cost me that second spot... I incorrectly calculated yesterday that my best chance to move up was to try to make up 9 steals.  I thought the Assists point would be easy given your two players and my full slate playing.  So, I swapped Al Jefferson for a guy who grabs more steals, and it ended up costing me as Jefferson had 3 assists and the guy I put in only had 1.  Of course, if Wallace had played it probably would have been fine.

Oh well, bad move on my part - congrats on the silver!

Congrats to the trophy takers!

I still haven't figured out fantasy basketball quite yet.  I didn't do well with the injury factor.  Roy, Tyreke, Bogut, Bargnani, and Murphy weren't as solid of picks for me as I had hoped.  I think I need to do a better job of monitoring/acquiring players throughout the season for categories where I'm lagging.  Oh well, hopefully, I'll have a better showing next year.

Thanks guys...I rewally was sweating the last month or so as I had an tremendous amount of injuries...Williams, Gay, West and little bits of Josh Smith and D Wade made the final standings a lot closer.  I also foolishly tried to get greedy a few months ago and try and do catch up on 3s, Ss and As and took a beating on TOs and FG...it all worked out and it does make up for the sting of losing Hockey
