Woodward and Bernstien are not confirming it.  I don't think we'll know for sure until they do.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Post your ROTS reviews and thoughts!

Wow...there's definitely a trend of people who were all into spoilers not liking this film and those who tried to avoid them liking it.

I'm glad I resisted the temptation.

TV-9D9 / Re: TV series predictions (and wishes)
« on: May 31, 2005, 03:57 PM »
I like the idea, but expand it a bit to be an arc of 2 or 3 episodes for a story, sort of like what Enterprise did in it's final season. That gives a lot more room to work with in terms of storytelling. A traditional TV series would require at least one re-occuring character, but since this is Star Wars most viewers would be able to accept your concept Tydirium, especially if there was an overall link to each arc.

How's this for an idea for a recurring character?

The recurring character could be Yoda, sitting on Dagobah, and using the force to follow galactic events.  Sort of like Alfred Hitchcock in the series he had years ago.  He somehow introduces the characters and the situation they're in, and we watch it unfold.  Then he shows up at the end and gives some sort of moral to the story.

Cleveland has the Rock n Roll hall of fame.

Detroit (well a quasi furturistic Detroit) is the setting for Robocop.

I think it's a draw.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS variation/error thread
« on: May 31, 2005, 11:51 AM »
Mas Amedda comes with a removable tongue.  It's in the package right next to his head.  I haven't heard of there being a variation where he comes with the tongue in his mouth.  Anyone hear of this?

Transam, I don't know production numbers, but a simple rule to follow is that the earlier released figures will be the more rare when it comes to variations.  Errors like the Palpatine with Blue Saber, Anakin with generic red saber, will be more rare than Palpatine with Red Saber and Anakin with Dooku saber, respectively.

BTW, I think it would be nice to see sith sabers that are red as compared to the pinkish ones out now.

Luckily, I was not called into work today, so I was able to get to the theater for my fifth viewing of ROTS.

There were a lot of people in the theater (I'm guessing due to the bad weather we're having), but was glad that the people waiting in line for seats were for Madagascar.

Jesse,

The hood and trunk open and there are also two roof-flaps that you can flip up.  The details of the engines, trunk, interior and undercarriage are amazing!

As far as which one to pick?  I think that depends on what you like when it comes to drivers or themes.  Since I collect the 1:24 scale cars, I want them all....not just one.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Greivous' Cough?
« on: May 29, 2005, 05:31 PM »
He has nice backstory to him, but in the end he was pointless to the plot.

Gotta disagree with you on this one Jesse.

Grievous was necessary to the plot to get Obi-Wan away from Couruscant so Palpatine could work Anakin over and turn him into Darth Vader.  It couldn't have been Dooku because Anakin had to kill Dooku/Tyranus, to parallel the Emperor wanting Luke to kill Vader in ROTJ to replace him.

Sure Grievous came off as some sort of disposable character (which he was really) but he was definitely necessary to the plot.  I don't see how ROTS could've ended the way it did without him.

I was planning on seeing it again this morning, but some refridgerator issues in my home kept me here as a new one was delivered.  I now have to go out and stock it so I probably won't get to the theater today.  I'f I'm not called into work tomorrow (I'm on back-up), I plan on going in the morning.

So I'm still at 4 viewings.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Turbo Tank/Juggernaut Question
« on: May 29, 2005, 12:48 AM »
Found it - it's called Big Trak, made in 1979 -

I wonder how big it is... I think I might try to find on ebay.

 :P

I think I had one of these when I was a kid!  I don't think it's big enough to customize into a turbo-tank.

I enjoyed it.  I jumped off of the couch when:

Earnst blew up

The boat showed up and the "Others" took Walt

I think Jiin jumped overboard to save Sawyer, but he could've ended up on the "other" boat.

I guess it's going to be one loooong summer!

No pun intended.   ;)

I recent;y got an e-mail from a globaltestmarket.com saying that Lucasarts has hired a thirdparty for some feedback for KOTOR II.  Here's the body of the message:

LucasArts has hired a third party, Nielsen Interactive Entertainment, to ask gamers to tell us what they think about Knights Of The Old Republic II

Please spend a few moments answering our online survey questionnaire and help us make better games!

I'm curious to know if this is legit, or am I just setting myself up to getting some sort of spyware on my computer or ending up with all sorts of spam sent to my computer by ending up on some mailing list by clicking on the link.

Anyone know?????
