Just saw Blade 3: Trinity. My least favorite of the 3 chapters. :-\

The 80's...Good times! :)

Most of my vintage collection came from Zayre. I can remember looking forward to the Sunday paper to see if SW figures were on sale. ($2.88 or less each, I think)  There was an elderly neighbor  that I did house & yard work for that would go every Sunday morning with my list in her hand to shop for my SW figs. My paycheck was SW toys, and I was never allowed to take anything home until I had earned it.

The Sears wishbook was another source of excitement. Can remember going to Sears (with same elderly friend) when the orders arrived, and the hours of playtime that followed. And I did chores for everything I got, unless there was a birthday or Christmas.

Kmart every once in a while. They did not have the same great selection that Zayres did, or the lower price. That was within bike riding distance, so I could make that trip on my own.

My friend Bernice was the only way I ever had a SW collection back then, my Mom rarely bought me anything SW. (She did get me some of the bigger stuff, like the ATAT, Death Star playset, and Millenium Falcon.) Mom never quite understood my obsession with action figures. ::)

My interest in SW collecting faded a year after ROTJ (1984) when I became involved with Kung Fu training, and moved away from home.  I was 15 by then, it was time for being a teenager.

The Original Trilogy / Re: Questions for Kershner???

Thank Him for the BEST Star Wars chapter, ever! ;D

Mr Kershner was gracious enough to make an appearance at SDCC. Any chance that he may attend Celebration 3?

I missed meeting him at San Diego, and sure regret it! :'(

Yuk! The new Chewie looks like crap! >:(

I bought this collection back in the POFT2 days, I could not bring myself to buy them again with the new tags.

The Clonetrooper looks cool. I will buy any new plushes, but will skip any rehashes. Just no more room...

I have kept up with collecting the 12" line, just have not been able to bring myself to spend $30 on these OTC figures(except Chewie). The packages are great,  but the figures could be so much better. I am holding out in hopes of gettting them on clearance at some point.   :P

If they decided to cancel the 12" line, ROTS would be the only prequel without a 12" collection. I am willing to bet they will crank out a few Episode 3 12" figures.

Hope they don't charge $30 for them, like the OTC 12" series. :P

Chewie will be the first of the OTC 12"  that I purchase. They are starting to arrive at KB, so time to start hunting for him. Hasbro's Once Upon a Toy and Tatooine Traders has gotten the KB exclusives in the past, hope Chewie will appear out there too.  8)

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Star Tours thread... Wave 4 coming soon?
« on: November 24, 2004, 12:16 AM »
Be careful what you wish for, Matt! Do we REALLY want to go to the post office right now? :P Maybe they are being kind to us, and waiting until after Chrismas.... :-*

Yes, Sandcrawler is $40 and Slave 1 is $30 at MGM or OUAT. (Thanks Hasrbo! ;D)  It is great to have these resources so close by.

Perhaps Hasbro decided to change the cards on the Star Tours figures? Anything could happen....

But PLEASE bring back Jedi Mickey!

Stay tuned...

Too many trades with Gundam to count! Always prompt and courteous. Goes out of his way to help fellow collectors. :)

Jeff is one of the hardest working traders I know. Always quick with his packages & payments, extremely good communication. Our community would be lost without him!

Thanks, as always for helping me out, Jeff!  8)

A visit to Once Upon a Toy this week, and nothing new. They only had wave 3 Star Tours on the shelf, no waves 1 & 2. All 3 waves were still available at Tatooine Traders @ MGM Studios.

They are out of stock on several popular items, perhaps they will be restocking for the Holidays?

Asking several cast members about the upcoming toys gave me several different anwers, none of them helpful.
