Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Do You Have Pet's?
« on: April 10, 2003, 10:55 PM »
We have 1 pet, a 3 yr old Pug named Gramps. But in the next week or 2, we will be making a road trip to go and pick up our 2nd dog. This one is a Pug/Boston Terrier mix, or Bug as I guess it's sometimes called.

Sounds to me like you got just too much stuff there Matt and you can't keep a handle of what is where.  ;)  I'll offer up my services by taking some off your hands so a incident like this never has to happen to you again. It's the least I could do.  ;D

Yep, I'm a gamer here though I haven't played any lately since finishing The Getaway for PS2. I currently have a Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation, PS2 and an XBox. And several games, some of which I have yet to even play.  ::)  One of these days...

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Ever get in a fight?

Unless you call some pushing and shoving a fight, then no, I've never been in a fistfight before. Which means I have no idea the kind of damage my tall, thin frame could unleash onto some poor sap.  ;)

AHA! I knew I've seen that cereal in the local Targets before. That would explain why I haven't seen it around for several months though. Looks like you have a little bit of a wait ahead of you Brent before getting your hands on it.

I love breakfast. I eat it everyday as I always wake up starving. I could live off nothing but breakfast foods if I had too. In fact back in college, they always cereal out during lunch and dinner, and I made sure I always had myself a bowl with every meal. ;D

I'm with OCB on the ham and cheese omelets from Perkins. I get that about 95% of the time I eat there.

Well you already know who my favorite is, the Atlanta Braves of course.  ;D

As far as my picks:

NL East: I'll stick with my Braves again but the one team that could possibly take the division this year is the Phillies. Adding Thome and Millwood is enough of an improvement that if the Braves slip, the Phillies could take it.

NL Central: This could be a 3 team race with the Cards, Astros and even the Cubs, if their young pitchers can carry them, all in contention.

NL West: Another 3 team race with the Dodgers, D-Backs and Giants all in it. The D-Backs are only in it though if Schilling and Johnson can combine for 40-45 wins again. The Giants content only if Bonds has another MVP type year. So maybe the Dodgers sneak by for the win?  ;)

AL East: Probably Yankees and BoSox again but the Sox stay in contention only if their bullpen produces. If their bullpen is a mess all year, the Yanks walk away with it.

AL Central: The Twins look solid and should get their main competition from the White Sox. I think they are pretty evenly matched and could come down to which team's stars stay the healthiest this year.

AL West: The A's have the starting pitching to take the crown here. In fact, their trio of Mulder, Hudson and Zito look an awful like like Maddux, Glavine and Smoltz from 10 years ago. Scary.

So my picks for the playoffs will be Braves, Phillies, Dodgers, Cards in the NL. And Yankees, Twins, White Sox and A's in the AL.

Now all we gotta do is sit back and wait 6 months to see if I'm right.  8)

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Pegwarmer of the Year Award
« on: March 29, 2003, 08:43 PM »
Which stores you hit around here will determine the pegwarmers found. The nearest TRU has about 20 figs on the pegs, I think maybe 18 of them are Pilot Jango. Targets seem to have tons of Bespin Luke, Vader and Geo Mace on the pegs, with countless Accessories sets. There are various other figs easily found but those seem to be the worst culprits.

Collector's Tips / Re: Keeping up with figures
« on: March 27, 2003, 10:29 AM »
I keep my list on an excel spreadsheet as well. I just started doing this a few weeks ago so I only have maybe half of my collection entered so far. But it's definately the way go as it's so highly customizable and easy to work with.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: How long have you collected SW?
« on: March 26, 2003, 11:27 PM »
Well I have been a fan of SW ever since I was 5 and first saw it at the movies. Unfortunately I got into the collecting of SW way late in the game. I've been collected SW Lego since the line began but didn't start with the Hasbro toys until last January. I can thank Target and their after xmas clearance sales for that.  ;D  I picked up a POTJ Vader, Han Solo and X-Wing Luke all for less than 2 bucks each and that's all it took. I've been collecting full bore ever since and have no plans on slowing down.

Wow, I think this stuff looks very nice. Many many purchases to be made later this year. Love the new packaging too for both the Saga and CW lines. The only things that made me go "huh?" were Anakins Jedi Starfighter which I may just have to get used to that funky design and the Arc Trooper I think it's called. What is up with that kilt or skirt it's wearing? The figure itself looks pretty cool but now sure about the skirt thing. Looks very out of place on it. Everything else looked great though.
