You can now order official customer Star Wars swag! Currently available are glossy prints (from 8x10 to 20x30), mugs, mousepads, coasters, license plates and other cool stuff.

I've already ordered some Clone Wars cartoon prints, cant wait for them to arrive! These would be cool to get autographed by the voice and art talents for the toon.

Watto's Junk Yard / Carnivale
« on: September 20, 2003, 01:46 AM »
Anyone else catch the series premiere of  Carnivale  on HBO? I watched it this evening, and it is a very interesting show, and it looks like its set up for a very compelling series. A new episode will be on Sunday, September 21.

It has almost a David Lynch feel to it, but that could also be because of  Michael J Anderson

So, anyone?

Modern Classifieds / For Sale: Retired Fossil Star Wars Watches
« on: September 18, 2003, 02:08 PM »
I have two retired Fossil Star Wars watches for sale. Both are mint in mint boxes and have only been displayed for a very short time. There is very minimal shelfwear on the boxes (not the collectible tins, but the carboard boxes they are sold in).

The first is an Attack of the Clones watch, in a collector tin:

Number 0759/2500
Price: $50.00

The other is the Boba Fett set, which includes the watch, Boba Fett dog tag, and polyresin display box with the Mandalorian logo:

Number 0472/2000
Price: $150.00

Buyer is responsible for shipping. I can accept money orders, cashier's checks (NO personal checks unless I know you very well), and PayPal balance transfers (no credit card payments unless you want to pay the surcharge).

Buy both and get them for $175.00

Other Toy Lines / Worlds of Wonder: Germs
« on: September 17, 2003, 05:39 PM »
Anyone else remember these awesome little figures?

Starting in the top left corner, moving left to right in both rows are:

Ahahchoosiosus (a Sneeze)
Sweatystinkiosus (Body Odor)
Winkyblinkyigoopiola (Eyeball Goop)
Innyouttyitis (Bellybutton Lint)
Muggywumpiosus (Smelly Feet)
Hackahackasilliae (a Cough)
Bubblebuppilitus (a Burp)
Oochiachitickleorum (an Itch)
Grumpyrumbleosus (a Tummyache)
Yoggayoggyitus (a Yawn)
Huppahickasillia (a Hiccup)
Gidgygidgyitus (a Giggle)

I hit the motherload today while going through the basement. I found loads upon loads of TMNT, GI Joe, MASK and all kinds of other stuff, including these bad boys! :)

I'm actually four short, and I know this is a longshot, but I could use the help in finding:
Bellybutton Lint (the bright red fella)
Cough (the bright green guy with pink growths)
Hiccup (the two headed turqoise fella with pink spots)
Giggle (the light blue guy with the pink pucker mouth)

Modern Trading / Prop Trading
« on: September 14, 2003, 03:36 PM »
Ok, I didnt get any interest last time, so I've changed my request a bit:

I have the following (everything in mint condition) Master Replicas Signature Edition Prop Replicas:

Darth Vader ANH: James Earl Jones, Dave Prowse
Luke Skywalker ESB: Mark Hamill
Dooku AOTC: Christopher Lee
Darth Maul: Ray Park
Mace Windu: Sam Jackson

I would like to trade them for regular Limited Edition versions. Everything has to be traded, including the display case and box, the actual prop and the plaques, because all are unique to each version.

I prefer and will give precedence to any offers from a driveable area (anywhere within an hour, to an hour and a half from Crawfordsville Indiana), and will also take offers to trade everything at once.

Interested? Email me at adamclowe@earthlink.net

Other Toy Lines / McFarlane Soul Calibur 2 Figures
« on: September 10, 2003, 08:21 PM »
Hey everyone,

Well, I ordered a set of six Soul Calibur 2 figures from Gamestop:

Nightmare
Ivy
Voldo
Necrid
Astaroth
Spawn (Masked, exclusive to Gamestop)

Well, I got a shipment, and everything was messed up, I got three Nightmare figures, 2 Ivy and 1 Voldo. After about a week of writing and calling to complain, I got awesome news!

This week they are shipping all new figures to me, of the first five (Nightmare through Astaroth). Unfortunately they sold out of Spawn. But, I get to keep the six duplicate figures! They are shipping the new ones completely free of charge. And it gets better! To make up for the missing Spawn figure, they are going to send me the Spawn Series 24 boxed set absolutely free, when it comes out in October-November! It is an artistic representation of a Spawn cover - Hellspawn on Horseback, a $24.99 figure! :) I'm not too into Spawn, but that's pretty cool...

But alas, I now call for your help! I need the two Soul Calibur II Spawn figures:

Electronics Boutique Exclusive: Unmasked Spawn
Gamestop Exclusive: Masked Spawn

Would love as much help as I can get! :)

Watto's Junk Yard / Developing a Portfolio
« on: September 10, 2003, 01:56 PM »
Well, I've decided its time to beef up my job searches, and am planning on building a portfolio (paper, cd and web based with parellel content). However, I'm sort of at a loss at what I should include with it. Any tips, or advice?

Obviously I will include a cover letter, but dont really consider that to be part of the portfolio.

I will also include a resume, writing sample, and perhaps samples of my photography.

What else should I include? Should I tone down my resume, and make specific pieces to cover volunteer experience, and seminars and workshops I have attended? Unfortunately I dont have a lot of experience, so I need to base my portfolio or more subjective material.

Any help would be appreciated!

Site Feedback, Suggestions, and Help / News Free News
« on: September 5, 2003, 06:00 PM »
Well, I hate to complain, but I've finally become overwhelmed.

It seems like JD's front page is becoming crowded with news, that isn't really news. Stuff like "amazon.CON" "Nothing - the Reoccuring Story" (and for nitpick sake, there is no such word as reoccuring, it's reccuring, and the plural of product is products), "The Action Figure Hunt", etc. Jango's Jargon is the same really, but since it's a column, I just ignore it. It just seems like lately, a lot of stuff has been posted for the sake of posting, because there isn't any other news.

Saga '02-'04 / For those considering KEBco Toys:
« on: August 24, 2003, 10:04 PM »
Well, after tonight, I have decided that I will never do business with KEBco.

I just wanted to make everyone aware of some customer service issues they've had, which have been pointed out in a few threads in the Rebelscum Forums. Worth at least looking at:
