I'm not sure if Hasbro is being devious or is just incompetent.

It's been my experience that they are far too incompetent to be intentionally devious.

They came and went at the same time as Short Round. He was plentiful in my area for a few weeks, then clearanced and gone. Still waiting for Henry and Sallah to show up in stores in these parts.

Why would you need Vader's meditation chamber?  That was on his Star Destroyer.

In the scenes cut from the beginning of Return of the Jedi, the first place Vader goes upon his arrival at Death Star II is his meditation chamber.

Too bad they didn't do a multi-pack of Chewie and his family

How did Disney miss the opportunity to do a remake with Alden Ehrenreich going to Kashyyyk to meet Chewie's family (Baby Lumpy = $$$ right?) and celebrate his first Life Day? This stuff writes itself!

Do you have a link to share?  Interested to see which rumored version this is...

He posted it here:

It's about the middle of the page.

I'm pretty sure Life Day is November 17th.  Now I'm scratching my head and wondering if that was the original airdate for the Holiday Special?  But that's the date where it was Celebrated in the Disney Parks last year.  A November 1st date for orders could get the figures to people in time for the 17th.

Yes indeed. November 17th 1978.

Maybe even something like the unproduced POTF2 Death Star!  I know some pics of that have been circulating around social media in the past day or so.

I have been obsessing over a sketch Jayson did of a potential Death Star Haslab mockup he saw, which has led me to looking up all the Death Star prototypes over the years...so that was probably my doing!

But for the record, I would much rather have the POTF Imperial Outpost as a future project if we are picking between cancelled playsets.

They were on display in the booth, I believe the cards said Spring 2024 availability.

Technically, no, the only badge Piett wore in ROTJ was the one that he has in the carded release. (Every officer has the same rank badge in that film, even Moff Jerrjerrod.)

You can display either version on an ESB shelf, because he was both a Captain and an Admiral in that movie and wore both versions of the rank badges.

The 4-pack version was only ever seen in ESB, in the finals scenes of the movie when he has been promoted to "Admiral."

55
Long story short, the rank badge system that was set up in ESB was not followed in ROTJ.

In ESB we see Captain Piett at the beginning of the movie, then at the end his rank badge has changed to an Admiral's badge. This final scene Piett is the figure in the 4-pack.

The Admiral Piett seen in ROTJ has the generic badge every officer in ROTJ had, which matches the Captain rank in ESB. So the ROTJ carded figure already out works for Captain Piett in the early part of ESB too.

I am super excited for 25th anniversary TPM Retros! I figure it is likely they will be handled like the 40th Anniversary ROTJ Retro wave (as opposed to the Disney+ Show waves) and not really be a visible presence at retail.

For once I never saw any Landos on a peg in that wave!

I will too... it doesn't matter if you do it on day 1 or 58 if you know you want one.

I will add this caveat about the benefits of backing early...

The Razorcrest was only supposed to have 2  tier unlocks, but it getting backed so insanely fast prompted Hasbro to add the Carbonite blocks and the Jawa Chief to the list. Those only got in there because people backed early.

I am out because vehicles are not really part of my collection, giant vehicles even less so.

But 8 years ago my son would have gone nuts for this and I likely would have backed it for him. Back then he used the BMF as a stand in for the Ghost when he would play Rebels.

He seriously looks like they made him using the Selfie Series.

It's called "World Building."

Agreed 100%

There are so many iconic set pieces / furniture pieces that are still waiting to get into the line, these little "wall with greeblie" playset designs would be the perfect place for Hasbro to slot in stuff like Echo Base computers, Death Star duty stations or conference room furniture, Cloud City dining room furniture, etc etc.

There is so much more that they can do once they've gotten their fill of alcohol bottles and pillows.

If the moisture vaporator accessory hadn't come out in 2007, I would still be advocating for that thing, it is one of my favorite "figures" they ever made!
