Toy Reviews / Re: Marauder Blastech E-11 & Beret

Hi guys,

Great review on those Marauder weapons. He's actually a pretty active member of the Joe collecting community. Course most of his weapons are real world, but he is planning on expanding his sci fi line. I highly recommend shooting him an email with any suggestions ya'll have for the star wars gear. Invite him over to the forum he's very communicative. Also if you find out about him through a joe board let him know and he'll throw in a freebee with your order.

Great guy to deal with, and his product has hasbro beat hands down.
you can check out reviews of his stuff here
http://www.generalsjoes.com/misc.htm

or check out joecustoms.com and run a search on the forum for him you'll find a ton of posts, mini reviews product suggestion threads (that are heard and listened too, unlike hasbro), and any number of other topics that cover his stuff.

I'm probably one of his biggest cheerleaders, I love the idea of a business being able to provide goods to the collector that is something wanted, or needed. Without just creating bootlegs of licensed products.

Hi,

I got email from chewie saying I should check this place out, so here I am.
I've become addicred to ROTS figs and when I saw Aaylas arms I knew I had to do something.

The link below takes you over to her post at joecustoms,  I hope you enjoy,
and chewie thanks for the envite.

http://www.joecustoms.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=27066

All I did is add a set of VvV Scarlet arms to Aayla's shoulders.

I cut her arms off just below the shoulder and scarlets off right
beneath those bowling balls she calls shoulders. I used a hot needle to
make two pilot holes in the meaty part of both the shoulder and the
upper arms. Then I glued in pins made out of needles and attached
the lower to the upper.

I sanded the lower arms to match but left the forearm guard on the left.
I attempted to paint to match but never quite nailed the grey color I wanted.
I always liked the look of obi in clone armor so I wanted to add a bit of that
Aayla.
I also added knee pads so her legs wouldn't bend all crazy.

The only thing I don't like right now is her right hand. When I first had the two pieces of
arm together I was all excited and in a rush. I was also way too tired. So the peg hole isn't as straight as I'd like.

Let me know what ya'll think.

I actually have heard that from a few people but I think the recent upgrades to it have made it easier to deal with.
And I don't why it converted everything to bitmap.  I haven't played with it enough.

If you can't afford photoshop or just don't want to spend any cash you can download a program called gimp.  its layed out the same as photoshop and is a pretty easy download.  Just google for it, make sure that you include the word program in your search or there's no telling what you'll get.

Personally I like Illustrator If you work on all the package layout and design in illustrator then import the image you were working on in gimp or photoshop you can really create some nice pieces.
